Blushing in Pink

Blushing in Pink

On Wednesday's we wear pink... blush pink that is! I scooped up this super cozy cold shoulder pullover last spring, and still break it out every chance I get. The exact piece is of course no longer available, but I linked in a similar cold shoulder top by the same brand. Bonus points that it goes perfectly with a glass of sparkling rosé.

Caffeine and Kindness

Caffeine and Kindness

Monday, we meet again. After a refreshing weekend filled great workouts and time spent outside, I've started decorating the house with little fun trinkets, and browsing Gamiss Valentines Day 2018 for fun pieces for a fancy date night or drinks out with the girls for Galentine's Day.

As much as I love my neutrals, I love beautiful pops of blush pinks and reds which is why I love the Gamiss color palette for Gamiss Valentines Gifts.

I may not be the biggest fan of Valentines Day, but I can't resist all the pretty flirty pieces perfect for celebrating with friends, family, or your significant other. These dresses are sure to make a statement while ordering your pre-dinner cocktail.

Still Time to Sparkle

Still Time to Sparkle

You know when you come across some thumb stopping content on Pinterest, fall in love with a piece, close your eyes and make a wish that clicking on it will actually bring you somewhere instead of a broken pin link? Imagine my happiness when I found a beautiful rose gold off the shoulder sequin top several weeks before NYE with a working link direct to the product on RoseWe's site. Enter sadness that the rose gold was of course sold out, so I settled for the silver instead which was still pretty and had NYE written all over it.

Top | Jeans | Heels | Clutch | Sunnies | Lipgloss

I placed my order on December 10th - that's 3 weeks before NYE which should be more than enough time for processing and shipping considering the item was in stock. It didn't ship until December 26th. What were they doing? Hand-sewing each individual sequin onto the top? I tried not to worry, and felt that it had enough time to arrive in 5 days or less. *Spoiled by Amazon Prime*. New Year's Eve came and went, and I ended up rocking sparkle with my favorite sequin leggings instead (recap here). Fast forward 2 and 1/2 weeks later, and the item finally arrived. 3 and 1/2 weeks for shipping?! After 2 and 1/2 weeks for processing?! Unacceptable. Moral of the story - stop ordering from overseas and shop local. Also, it's always time to sparkle even after the holidays are over.

Cozy and Flirty

Cozy and Flirty

Oh Monday, dare I say I'm happy to see you. Other than going to some pop up Bar Method classes, and going to the Food Truck Wars event last weekend we've been laying low due to sickness running through the house. Dare I say I see the light at the end of the germy tunnel?

I was excited to try out some fun food from different trucks, but first wine. We headed over to the alcohol tent first like the classy adults we are before hitting up some of the food. Priorities.

I couldn't believe how cold I was at the food truck event, which showed me that I need to stock my closet more with cold weather items even here in the sunshine state. I'm still loving this sweater (on sale for only $10) from Zaful, so I started scoping out their other deals that will keep me warm.

Even though I'm not big into Valentine's Day, I'm loving all the flirty, fun, and colorful pieces a part of the Zaful Valentine's Day Sales. I could live in this cozy pullover lounging around the house or paired with my favorite pair of jeans and some heels for a night out.

The Valentine's Day Special is valid through January 28th, and don't forget to use offer code ZAKIRA for additional savings. This cold shoulder dress is perfect for date night or drinks with the girls for Galentine's Day.

I'm already dreaming of spring with the bright colors and fun lighter pieces, but while it's still too chilly outside I like to mix warmer pieces with spring tones like this distressed sweater. It comes in eight colors, and is on sale for less than $14! Time to scoop up all the colors!

This scalloped lace tank pairs perfectly with off the shoulder tops for a pop of lace, or if you're really daring with a high waisted skirt.

The Zaful Valentine's Day 2018 special even includes these edgy heels. I'm all about studded embellishments right now, and can never say no to a peep toe.

I've had a serious thing for asymmetrical jackets lately, and love how well this beauty would pair with the heels above to complete any look.

Add the discount code ZAKIRA when checking out for additional savings! Time to get fun, flirty, and of course stay warm until the beauty of spring arrives. Happy Shopping!

Cozy in Neutrals

Cozy in Neutrals

With the chillier weather in the sunshine state, I've been able to play more with the cozier pieces in my closet like my fun OTK boots and my favorite sweater dresses and blanket scarves. This particular Cupcakes and Cashmere dress is currently sold out, but I've included some similar pieces that will keep you just as warm and cozy chic.

To Travel is to Live

To Travel is to Live

One of my all time favorite things to do is travel. We usually try to see at least one new country and one new U.S. city each year, and last year we checked out two U.S. cities (St. Augustine and San Francisco - Wine Country) without any new stamps on the passport so I'm determined to break it back out this year.

Booked

We haven't done much planning or research yet for 2018, but we do have a beach house booked with friends who will be bringing along their toddler for a joint family beach weekend in Siesta Key. Living in Florida for over 7 years, and believe it or not I still have not been to what is considered the most beautiful beach in the continental U.S. Can't wait!

Preliminary Planning

Our preliminary plans that we've tossed around are another weekend in a new U.S. city as a family or just the 2 of us, and an international tropical vacay just the 2 of us while my mom watches lil' miss which she always jumps at the chance for. It's a win-win. We get much needed couple time, and Serena gets quality nana time.

U.S. Cities on our mind

Denver - a Rockies game, hiking, some brewery hopping, and of course Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Nashville - this would be an adults only trip so we can take in the live music and pop in and out of bars along the way.

International Beaches and Resorts on our mind

Costa Rica - Beaches, hiking, waterfalls, zip lining, and beautiful resorts? Yes please!

Turks and Caicos - Ever since we missed our cruise stop a few years ago and wrote off sailing with Carnival ever again (a full recap on their deplorable customer service can be found here), we've been itching to check out this beautiful island. Check out that water!

Of course we always have cruising on the mind as well. We'd love to check out a new to us Royal Caribbean ship or finally check out Princess or Celebrity.

Emily and I have also been talking about a girls trip to Charleston since it's within driving distance and neither of us have ever been. If you'd like to join, let us know!

Traveling in style, but remaining comfortable is also key. I used to show up to the airport in the comfiest clothes possible, which left me sometimes looking frumpier than I would have liked. I now tend to reach for comfy dresses or cozy chic pieces like leggings over jeans, because who wants to wear jeans on a long flight?

I can't rave enough about this dress (which now comes in 6 colors, and I kind of want them all)! It's super flattering, and was insanely comfortable for a cross-country flight to San Francisco and hitting the ground running site seeing as soon as we checked in and dropped off our luggage. And as if you haven't heard me talk about my favorite rose gold Superstars they were perfect for running through airports and climbing the giant hills. FYI size down as they run pretty large.

Leggings {40% off}Booties

My fav faux leather leggings are also super comfy for traveling, and sitting for long periods of time. They can be easily dressed up or down with a pair of slip ons or a fabulous pair of heels once you get to your destination and want to check out a great place to eat or grab a drink.

Rosé and Shine

Rosé and Shine

I hadn't stopped thinking about this fun graphic sweatshirt since Biana shared it a few weeks ago. It's so soft, and can be dressed up or down. And the best part is - it's less than $18! I wish more days could be filled with rosé and shine, don't you?
