Smocked for Spring and Summer

Smocked for Spring and Summer

It's official I am all in on my favorite time of year for outdoor activities and effortless fashion. This smocked cami is on repeat, and definitely getting packed in my suitcase for our upcoming vacay in June. I wore it to dinner over the weekend, and it was so comfy and perfect for the warmer temps. As the sun went down, and it got chillier I was able to simply layer a cardi over it.

Spring Hues

Spring Hues

I'm all about groundbreaking florals for spring, but I also love the pretty pastels that just look and feel like the season. I almost felt like an Easter egg, and even ordered a lavender drink at happy hour to compliment the look - ha! I loved breaking out this tank not just for the fun color, but because it's light and airy. It'll be perfect for the heat of summer, and then I'll pair it with shorts or a skirt. Pretty soon it'll be too hot to even think about jeans, and I'm here for it!

Egg-cellent Weekend

Egg-cellent Weekend

We enjoyed another glorious weekend outside, and of course celebrated Easter. We kicked off the weekend on the patio dying Easter eggs and making appetizers for dinner before heading to the beach on Saturday.

We finally put our new beach wagon cart to good use, and it was a total game changer! SO nice not to lug our beach chairs, umbrella, beach buckets and toys, etc... plus Lil' Miss had a lot of fun "helping" pull it down the beach. We've been wanting one for years, and finally scooped one up a few months ago. Now I'm wondering why we waited so long to get one...

I tried out my new Sunscreen Drops from Veribella, and loved how easy they are to apply by using the applicator to add a few drops to your skin then rub it in for full coverage. We all used it for sun protection, and my favorite part is that it's CLEAN ingredients. While we're trying to protect our skin, we shouldn't be subjecting ourselves to other bad chemicals.

I am totally here for clean beauty, and these drops are formulated with hyper-clean ingredients. This formulation is designed to be worn daily and provides SPF 50 protection from UVA, UVB, and Blue Light. Yes please! It fits right in my bag when we are heading out, and easy to apply when lounging by the pool or at the beach. A few drops and I’m ready to fully enjoy outdoor living.

Once we packed up at the beach, we headed to our favorite spot on the water for a late lunch at Outriggers. While we waited for an outdoor table, Lil' Miss enjoyed watching the boats and the pelicans while my husband and I enjoyed a drink from their tiki bar. Their Mai Tai on tap is a must have!

Before we knew it, the Easter Bunny had arrived! Lil' Miss rolled the stone away on her Easter scene diorama, put on her beautiful new Easter dress from my parents and excitedly headed down the stairs to dig into her basket and hunt for eggs. We usually hide the plastic ones inside, and the real ones that we dyed previously outside so she's treated to not 1 but 2 egg hunts.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Making a Statement

Making a Statement

I don't know about you, but I still fall for fun animal print pieces. Especially when they add other fun details like bubble sleeves and a pop of peplum. This top dresses up any pair of shorts or jeans, and makes a statement.

It's been cooler than usual for Florida this time of year, so I've been getting a few extra spins out of my tops with fun sleeves and ankle boots. May need to break this out again for our next date night!

Spring Catch Up

Spring Catch Up

It's been a few weeks since we've caught up, and we've been busy! Date nights, birthday parties and soaking up the beautiful spring weather. There's always an event going on in and around Central Florida, so we've been out exploring and supporting local.

A few weeks ago we ventured down to Park Ave in Winter Park for date night. We enjoyed dinner outside, and even popped into one of our favorite farm to table restaurants for dessert. We then ended the evening at a beer garden that neither of us had experienced yet. I mean who are we?

That weekend we also celebrated a friend's daughter's birthday with two of our favorite things - cake and a pool party. It was great to catch up as we hadn't seen them since pre-quarantine and the kids picked up right where they left off.

We had an amazing outdoor brunch last weekend, and then ventured over to a local park for Lil' Miss to run around on the playground and then we rented a swan paddle boat. We'll definitely be back!

I was recently treated to a self care day at the new VitaLounge - a premier IV nutrient therapy and wellness spa targeted to help you feel your best so you can be your best! I was excited to try out their Beauty VitaSpa infusion drip which was like a day at the spa at the cellular level. The drip included a vitamin infusion treatment that naturally relieves stress (yes please!) while delivering potent nutrients that promote healthy skin, hair, nails and teeth. If you're still looking for a fun way to treat mom this year for Mother's Day treat her to IV therapy and watch her glow.

I was so intrigued by this type of therapy, and can't wait to try out their jetlag bag next time I travel. How amazing would it be to feel like yourself after a long overnight flight?!

The weather continues to be cooler than usual, but with abundant sunshine so we've been spending as much time outside as possible. This past weekend there was the annual "Mini Masters" minigolf event downtown where a lot of different restaurants and bars have a a minigolf set up to enjoy as you experience the local spots. There are 18 holes in all, but we didn't even come close to finishing them all since we stayed and enjoyed a lot of the venues. Plus, it was hard to tear Lil' Miss away from the tire swing at our last stop.
