But First Barre... then Coffee

But First Barre... then Coffee

It's no secret that I'm hooked on barre classes (you can find my comparison of Barre3 and Bar Method here), and I also have a strong love for fun graphic tees. Throw in my love for coffee, and I'm sold!

Keeping up with barre throughout my pregnancy has been an amazing experience. But let me tell you dragging myself to class during the 1st trimester nausea and exhaustion was no joke! However, once I was there I was so glad I forced myself, and I always felt so much better once class was over. I truly believe that staying fit and active has helped me keep a lot of symptoms away (or minimal) such as swelling, back pain, and trouble sleeping. And cute workout clothes make it even more fun to get motivated and get to class.

Hello Monday, I'm going to make you a little prettier by throwing some glitter at you! Glitter makes everything better doesn't it?

Friday was quiet with some takeout and a Target run where I found the best throw pillow ever. Bonus points that it's on clearance!

Saturday started off with a much-needed pedicure before an at home barre workout and pool time. My nail girl is also expecting a little girl, and is only 2 weeks ahead of me. This may have been my last visit before she's a mama!

Sunday morning I finally had my first cold brew from Dunkin. It tastes just like Dunkin Donuts coffee, but a little smoother. I enjoyed it with skim milk and 2 pumps of toasted almond.

Then we headed down to check out Emily and K's new house, and of course visit with Miss Lola. They outdid themselves with a spread of amazing food including ribs, chicken, and kabobs on the grill, and we left with full happy bellies.

Friday Favs

Friday Favs

Happy Friday!

1. I finally picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit which was on my Birthday Wish List. I mean how can you say no to such a pretty palette, especially when one of the shades is "Bubbly" - my favorite!

2. I utilized a b-day gift card to snag another item off my wish list. I've been wanting one of the beautiful double rings by Kendra Scott for a while now, and finally picked up the Naomi Double Ring in rose gold/brown pearl.

3. I'm still loving this floral maxi from my post on Wedneday that I wore to birthday brunch over the weekend. I can't get over the fun print and the beautiful open back. This piece will carry me through the end of October/mid November when the temps start to cool down in FL.

4. Have you tried the new cold brew at Dunkin' Donuts? I'm wondering if it compares at all to my beloved cold brew at Starbucks (which they totally copied off of). I usually take it with a splash of skim milk and 2 pumps of vanilla or hazelnut which is delish!

5. Am I the only one who's been lost with the Olympics being over? I miss Bob Costas, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Katie Ledecky, Allyson Felix, Aly Reisman, and the gang! But ummm... they can keep Ryan Lochte, his lies, and his 1990's hair.

I had Rio on my shortlist for international trips before the games, and now all the coverage has fueled my wanderlust to visit even more. Hoping to make it there in 2017 or 2018. Because those views.... those beaches... the culture. Definitely would be an amazing trip!

Give me all the floral print

Give me all the floral print

I chose this beautiful maxi dress for my birthday brunch celebrations over the weekend, and am in love with the dramatic open back and the floral print.

Dress - BB Dakota Currently 50% off + Free Shipping | Sandals - Michael Kors | Clutch - Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies - Tory Burch | Watch - Kate Spade | Lipstick in Rose Stiletto - YSL

I'm excited to see how this dress will fit after baby girl arrives. Just like all my other looks with the exception of my baby shower dress last month, this is not a maternity dress. It will fall better in the front and the back without sitting as high over my bump.

Birthday Weekending

Birthday Weekending

Birthday week has come and gone, but was packed full of sweetness, surprises, copious amounts of food, and excitement!

Since my birthday fell on a Wednesday this year, and I couldn't celebrate with my usual champs and margaritas it was a low key day filled with sweet messages and phone calls from friends, family, and my favorite bloggers. I also treated myself to some birthday freebies (read more about the birthday month freebies you can rack up here) with a venti at Starbucks and a sandwich at lunch from Firehouse.

However, that evening I discovered on my app that I had been charged for my $6 drink at Starbucks instead of them cashing in my birthday reward. For dinner, H grilled for us and brought home ice cream cupcakes from Coldstone, and we enjoyed dining al fresco on the patio before relaxing and watching the Olympics.

I even had a surprise waiting for me when I got home from Andrea. She is seriously the sweetest, and sent the perfect card. How cute is that coffee cup?

Thursday, I went back to Starbucks to utilize my birthday reward drink since it was never cashed in the day before. Later on, I called customer service and let me tell you it was on Nordstrom level - they were amazing! They credited back the amount I was charged on my birthday, and credited me an additional birthday reward drink.

After work, H and I went to hibachi to cash in my free birthday meal which was of course delish!

On Saturday, it was time for our hospital tour to see where we'll be meeting baby girl for the first time. It's such a beautiful facility, and honestly looks and feels more like a hotel than a hospital - I was seriously impressed! After a quick stop to visit the memorial at Pulse (where I blubbered like a baby) it was time for lunch downtown, where we finally checked out Wahlburgers. No Wahlburg sightings, but the food was delish and the service was great.

*I also cashed in my additional b-day reward - yum*

Sunday was time for b-day celebrations with friends over a yummy brunch by the lake at Vanbarry's. I got the Amaretto French Toast which was amazing!

Birthday Wishes

Birthday Wishes

Happy Birthday to me (and my fabulous birthday twin Nadine)! I rounded up a few of my favorite things lately that I may or may not have been hinting to H when he asks what I'd like for my birthday this year.
Birthday Wishes

1. Nordstrom Gift Card - always a great idea! You can't beat their impeccable customer service, great sales, and free shipping all the time.
2. Kate Spade Champagne Metro Watch - I've had my eye on this watch for a while, it combines two of my all time favs - Kate Spade and champagne.
3. Kate Spade Two of a Kind Stemless Champagne Flutes - Combining two of my favs again, how cute are these stemless flutes? Pop... fizz...clink!
4. Kendra Scott Naomi Double Ring - Another piece I've been eyeing for a while is this gorgeous double ring. I'd totally scoop it up with the 50% birthday discount if the closest store wasn't 2+ hours away.
5. I Love Juicy Couture Perfume - I tested this at Ulta the other day, and couldn't stop smelling my arm the rest of the afternoon.
6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow KitLindsay reminded me the other day how much I need want this gorgeous palette. Keep that summer glow going well past September!
7. Gorjana Pineapple Stud Earrings - I can't get over how pretty these are, and who wouldn't want these pretty little pineapple studs?

What was on your birthday wish list this year?

**Don't forget to check out all the free birthday month goodies you can take advantage of from Tory Burch, Sephora, Ulta, Smashbox, Starbucks, and more here. **

Another summer weekend has come and gone, and here we are in the middle of August! How is it already my birthday week?! Cheers to all the coffee to get us through this Monday!

It was a good mail week, and I was excited not just for my Tory Burch b-day gift to arrive (details on my favorite birthday month freebies in Friday's post) but also that I received my latest voxbox from Influenster.

I was impressed that they sent full sizes of the Kat Von D Lock-It concealer, setting powder, and brushes for testing and review. The brushes are super soft, and I can't wait to have fun testing out what looks like a fabulous line.

On Saturday, I baked some homemade some funfetti donuts before some friends came over. The guys painted the nursery while the girls had some pool time, and then we all enjoyed some dinner and a movie.

We went with "sassy lilac" on three walls, and did an accent wall of a silvery gray for the nursery. The guys did such a great job, I may or may not have teared up when I saw it all finished.

Sunday was about relaxation and some online shopping. Is it just me or does coffee just taste better on the weekends when it can be enjoyed while relaxing outside on the weekend?

I can't stop buying all the dresses! I typically live in dresses during the warmer months as they're so much more comfortable in the heat, but with my growing bump it's been nice not to worry about waist bands while also staying cool. So, I scooped up two more dresses along with a flowy criss-cross top, and a pretty pinky ring to add some instant pizazz to any outfit.
