Desperate Need of Chanel

Desperate Need of Chanel

Happy Friday! It's surreal to me that my time at home with baby girl has come to an end, I've enjoyed every second even the challenging days.

I plan on taking the next week off from the blogging world to get settled into my new position and figure out how to balance my new schedule and coming home to work out, shower, cook dinner, and spend time with my sweet angel. In the meantime, I'll still be checking in on social media ~ instagramtwitter and snapchat (@greenfashonista).

I'm excited about my new position, and will still be working at a magazine which should be an easy transition. Although, I'm still in desperate need of Chanel...

As if I needed another reason to love Ladies of London, in this week's episode they went to the Henley Royal Regatta where they enjoyed buckets of champagne with giant straws and cocktails served in pineapples. Just like our Kentucky Derby, people mostly go to this event to dress up, wear fun hats, and drink while barely paying attention to the actual race. Sign me up! Because champagne... in buckets with straws!

My favorite coffee mug is on sale! Kate Spade is having another fabulous sale, and you can scoop up this mug for only $16.

I've had these moto leggings in olive sarma on my wish list for what seems like forever, and Pamela's A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock n' Roll post this week inspired me to finally pull the trigger. Especially since they were on sale, and Nordstrom always has free shipping. Win-win! I can't wait to pair them with flowy tops and graphic tees, as they can be easily dressed up or down. Thanks for the inspiration girl!

Speaking of sales, another fabulous sale happening over at SheIn. I've hopped back on the SheIn train, and am happy with my recent purchases which arrived a lot quicker than expected from past experiences. Such trendy pieces for a great price, another win-win!

Not only are graphic tees fun, but I love how they can be dressed up or down. Add a fabulous pair of heels and a statement necklace and you're ready for a night out. Pair it with your favorite jeans and some flats and head out for a cup of coffee or to run some errands. Perfection.

Playing Tourist in My Own City

Playing Tourist in My Own City

Oh hello Monday, the last one before I return to work which is so bittersweet. I'm excited to get back out into the real world and establish a routine again, but I grow closer to baby girl every day and am going to miss those chubby lil' cheeks so much!

With my family still in town, we took my brother out on Friday for some day drinking downtown. He got to check out some local breweries, and we all enjoyed being outside catching up and playing corn hole.

*Story behind the $56 margaritas can be found here*

Saturday we ventured out to celebrate a friend's birthday down in the touristy section of town. My brother came along and got to meet Emily, K, and the gang.

*Sparkling Sangria for the win*

Sunday was about snuggles with baby girl (who turned 3 months old already, how is this already happening?!), football, and relaxing.

I'm excited to announce that Elle is the winner of my Paperless Post giveaway. Enjoy gurlie, so many fabulous designs to choose from for your next event!

Champagne is Always the Answer

Champagne is Always the Answer

Happy Friday! My parents have been in town this past week, and now my brother is here too. Everyone is enjoying soaking up time with lil' miss, and it's great to have us all together which hasn't happened since last summer. Catching up over food, drinks, game nights, and fire pit time have been good for the soul.

I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day, but I do love a great sale. And I will never pass up a deal on cozy-chic pieces.

I ordered this crisscross top in burgundy, and can't wait for it to arrive! I may have to pick it up in army green as well.

I've been on a reality star memoir streak, so I'm excited to switch it up and start reading American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin.

We have a friend's birthday celebration on Saturday, and our friend's son is turning one so we have a family friendly birthday celebration as well on Sunday. Lots of fun, time with friends, and of course cake will be had this weekend. Mmmmm cake!

Wrapped Up in Neutrals

Wrapped Up in Neutrals

We don't get many chilly days here in the sunshine state, which is why I moved here from the northeast. So, it's nice that when the temps do drop for a few days due to a cold front that we actually appreciate them, and get to break out fun items like scarves, sweaters, and boots. I'm a huge fan of winter whites, and am smitten with this neutral plaid scarf H got me for Christmas from Nordstrom. Of course, I had to break it out to combat the chill in the air last week.

After some great news on Friday and a fun weekend including a fantastic yoga class on Sunday, I'm officially recharged and excited to have my family in town.

Friday was food truck night, so we ventured out in the crappy weather for some heart attack inducing food and  drinks at a local brewery before heading home for the night to watch Suicide Squad. We were excited about the movie, but found the special effects to be seriously lacking.

On Saturday, we took baby girl to her first festival. There was a BBQ Showdown at the zoo with live music, and lots of fun activities. I loved that our ticket to the festival also included entrance to the zoo, so we walked through to check out the animals once we were done eating.

On Sunday, I made my return to the local brewery for Namaste and Drink with one of my fav neighbors. Yoga at the brewery with my spirit animal? Yes please!

*$10 for class and a draft beer of your choice afterwards*
