The Gang's All Here

I mentioned the other day the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not my favorite (I know I know - you can go ahead and revoke my blogger card right now!). I actually prefer their Half Yearly Sale, because I don't feel sick of it before it even begins and wear warm weather pieces 90% of the year. But outside of our "blog bubble" most of my family and friends haven't even heard of the NSale. So, we're the lucky ones who are exhausted just thinking about it before it even begins. However, there are many great items on sale that you can enjoy now, are classic pieces, are closet staples for years to come, and great affordable basics. I've included lots of wearable and affordable items below, and I even included some toddler pieces I'm eyeing for Lil' Miss like these adorable boots. Everything I've listed below is under $100 with the exception of 1 pair of boots and a Tory Burch bag because they are a huge closet staples and you'll save hundreds of dollars on them if you decide to pull the trigger.

In past years, I've picked up a gorgeous royal blue Michael Kors raincoat, Marc Jacobs sunglasses (which Nordstrom has kindly replaced not once but TWICE), Kate Spade earrings, Vince Camuto ankle booties, basic tees like this one for only $11, and lots of gifts for others at great prices that I still use regularly. Be on the lookout for those staple items and classic pieces that you can snag at a great discount.

Because 2020 has been extra special and unique, we've all been living in athleisure and PJ's for the most part (which I'm not mad about) so I included lots of cozy pieces for around the house. This pajama set looks dreamy, a warm pair of slippers are always a great idea, and I can't get enough pairs of joggers which are great for at home, long flights, and trips to Target. A graphic tank that mentions champagne? Yes please! And once the temps drop, I can see myself lounging on the couch with a good book or binging Netflix in this sweatshirt and yoga leggings. And of course I'm adding this Free People top which layers great over a sports bra or a lace bralette.

For those few and far between (these days) wine tastings or brunch with the girls, I have all the heart eyes for this Sam Edelman dress and this BB Dakota dress in a fun bold yellow hue. I'd love to pair them with these peep toe ankle booties.

One of these days, we'll head back to the office... which is always freezing! This cardigan would be perfect to keep on my chair for meetings in cold conference rooms, and so would this cardi in olive green. I'm also loving this plaid blazer and of course this leopard pencil skirt.

Closet staples like this moto jacket, rose gold Tory Burch sunnies, wear anywhere skinny jeans, and a $15 basic tee which is perfect on it's own or layered under a jacket or cardigan in chillier temps.

The NSale isn't just for fashion, there are plenty of beauty items at a great discount as well. My skin loves this Too Faced duo, and who doesn't want a rose gold makeup brush set?

If you're looking for gift ideas or are starting Christmas shopping early - this fun tee is only $22. I've gifted these earrings to several girlfriends, and they're always a hit!

And who doesn't love a good splurge? These boots are 1 of 2 items below that are more than $100, but are $300 off their original price tag. If you've been drooling eyeing them, now is the time to snag these beauties. If you'd love a good pair of OTK boots, but want to keep the price under $100 - this pair by Steve Madden come in 2 colors and are just as pretty.

All Wrapped Up

Everyone's favorite dress (which is currently 40% off... run don't walk!) is one of my most versatile pieces. It can go from weekend fun with friends or even to the office. I'm actually rocking this dress under a blazer in my professional headshot at work and on LinkedIn. I also love that you can throw on a blanket scarf in the colder months or scoop up the long sleeved version to keep warm. Hands down most versatile (and comfortable) dress ever!

A Weekending Good for the Soul

After all the beach and brunch fun the past several weeks, we had a quiet weekend. I had planned to go out and celebrate with bubbles after receiving really good news at work, but was craving quiet time with my little fam after a sudden loss in the family last week. A day date on Friday, a quick Bar Method sweat session, movie night, and taking lil' miss to the splash pad was just what the doctor ordered.
If you're not blue in the face yet of being sick of all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coverage, it's now officially open to everybody and there are plenty of fun items at amazing deals to be had. You can find my fav picks here including this basic tee for less than $12 which was perfect for weekend errands.

Basic Tee {Less than $12}Lace Bralette | Shorts {25% off} Sandals | Necklace

My fav moto leggings are still in stock for only $25 (plus sizes are also available), and I can't rave enough about both colors. I love how they can be dressed up or down and will carry you right through to the colder seasons.

Leggings {only $25}Plus Size {also $25}

Lots of fun on Friday, and I'm still forever thankful for my new-ish job. Besides all the other amazing perks, having unlimited PTO truly is priceless. Not counting my days is so free-ing, and it's good for our relationship to have time together just the two of us. We started the day with lunch at Vanbarry's where I had a sandwich with turkey, bacon, avocado, and cream cheese - YUM with a can of my favorite sparkling rosé (they also had multiple flavors of frosé that I'll be trying next time) before moving downtown to grab drinks on the lake and go for a nice walk.

Jumpin' Jumpin'

It takes a while for some trends to grow on me, and jumpsuits were definitely one of them. I felt like they were too similar to overalls which I still can't get back on board with, and the whole bathroom situation when out scared me. But, I kept seeing so many cute pieces and decided it was finally time to give it a whirl. I stumbled upon this comfy piece at Marshalls last week, and have linked a similar one for only $20.

But First... Coffee

Another fabulous summer weekend is in the books, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year isn't it? Longer days, al fresco dining, pool, beach, and lake time - I love it all! We celebrated Father's Day, checked out a new to us restaurant, and had plenty of pool time.

I've been stocking up with all the great summer sales lately for myself and lil' miss. I have been buying her so much that H said "Ooook that's enough". There's just nothing sweeter than toddler style, Emily was right when she named her Baby Fashionista. <3 p="">

I have a black lace bralette that I love, but couldn't resist scooping up another one in the copper color as well. Because who doesn't love a fun pop of color?
