Spring Wish List

Spring Wish List

Happy last day of March! As we head into April, I wanted to share some of my favorite items I'm hoping to pick up (if I haven't already) for spring and summer (and here in Florida it means the "fall" too).

Spring Wish List

Smashbox BB Cream - this time of year I'm all about simplifying my beauty routine which means cutting out primer and foundation, and using BB cream instead. Huge bonus points that it contains SPF in it too!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - everyone has been raving about micellar water, and I love the extra boost to remove excess oil and makeup.
KS Elisa Pendant Necklace - Kendra Scott is still killin' it in the jewelry department, and these sparkly Elisa pendants are too pretty to pass up.
Pineapple Tee - As if we needed another reason to love Etsy!
J. Crew Chino Shorts - J. Crew's Chino shorts are a staple in my warm weather wardrobe. I've been collecting as many colors as I can!
J. Crew String Bikini Top - we all need a pretty floral bikini top in our lives
Jelly Bow Sandals - these flippies are just too cute, I mean that bow! Tory Burch continues to win all the prizes for best sandals.
O'Neill Sophie Cover-Up - always on the hunt for a great cover up for upcoming vacations and beach/pool/boat days. How pretty is the crochet detailing in the front?
Essie's Sunshine State of Mind - hands down my favorite new color this season for at-home manis.

What are some of your favorite items for spring?

Swing Dress Love

Swing Dress Love

It's official, Target is killin' it once again with the spring and summer dresses this year especially with all the pretty swing dresses. I've already scooped up a couple, and will probably continue to add more to my closet over the next few months.
Dress - Target | Bag, SunniesWatch and Bracelet - Kate Spade | Wedges - DSW | Necklace - Perry Street for Rocksbox

Target's swing dresses are even more fun when worn in pairs and down by the water. Pamela and I can't get enough of the beautiful dresses at Target this season which are perfect for us Florida gal most of the year.

Easter Weekending

Easter Weekending

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter Weekend with family and/or friends.
I kicked off the long holiday weekend on Thursday, and my fav neighbors came over for another Sopranos night. We enjoyed pizza, garlic knots, and several laughs as this show actually has a lot of underlying humor.
Friday, I had a very special visitor while Emily and K went to St. Augustine for the weekend. Lola was my little buddy, while Roxy had to share the spotlight.
Saturday, it was time to finally get my hair done, as I hadn't been since the week before Thanksgiving - yipes! She added some more lowlights and cleaned up my dead ends, so I feel so fresh and so clean clean again!
Afterwards, we grabbed a bite with Emily and K at 4th Street, and even Miss Lola got to come since they have a doggy-friendly patio.

On Sunday, I got to see Miss Lola again when Emily and K hosted their annual Easter dinner which was of course delish! They bake a ham and fry up a turkey, and we all leave with happy full tummies. The weather was supposed to be rainy, but it turned out to be a beautiful spring day which was perfect for catching up with friends on the patio and for cornhole.

Happy Hour at the Barre

Happy Hour at the Barre

I've been a huge fan of the barre workouts for the past two years, and have recently become a member of my local Bar Method studio (you can read more about my Bar Method vs. Barre3 comparison here). After class, I'm always tempted by the fun clothes for sale, and finally pulled the trigger on this tee which was too cute to resist.

Spring Weekending

Spring Weekending

Happy 2nd day of spring! It's my favorite time of year in Florida, the weather is warming up without the humidity and all the flowers are in full bloom. Definitely the prettiest season!
Friday was a quiet night in, with a trip to Sonic Drive-In with Roxy in tow. She was excited to have some tater tots of course. Then it was time for a Netflix night, and we finally watched Straight Outta Compton. It was fun to watch some stars who are still big names now build their foundation, and I loved learning more about Dr. Dre's unique sound. I also loved learning more about Easy E, who I remember from the tribute in the Bone Thugs N Harmony video "Crossroads" video.

Saturday was a productive day followed by a fun evening with friends grilling and watching Mocking Jay Part II in their home theater. I made bacon wrapped jalapenos with cream cheese for the first time and they were delish!
Sunday was the perfect day for a beautiful bike ride, before taking some blog pictures by the lake with Pamela followed by a few fun card games and Sunday's best - mimosas.

Friday Favs

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! I just need one of these installed at my house....
I'm totally crushing on J. Crew's new sunglasses line which is of no surprise....

Ryan - how pretty is that rose gold?!

I've always loved the Viva La Juicy fragrance line, but the new Rose is tugging at my heart strings even more with it's rose gold packaging and sparkly bottle. I sampled it the other day, and of course it smells incredible too!
Last year my nail polish obsessions were Flowerista and Sunday Funday, but this year Sunshine State of Mind is my new fav! I have a feeling it'll be on serious repeat through spring and summer.

With the weather warming up, I can't stop thinking about upcoming fun beach days and trips for this year (Denver is still the only trip set in stone and a work trip up to the panhandle, but still trying to figure out this year's big trip). And when Pamela sent me a photo earlier this week from Key West last year, it had me even more reminiscent of all the fun had last year on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise, Boca Raton, Key West, the lazy river, and Punta Cana.
As always, I'm loving my recent finds on Pinterest:

Luminess Airbrush Essentials

Luminess Airbrush Essentials

I've been loving my goodies from Luminess Air (you can read my past reviews here and here), and was excited to try out the new Airbrush Essentials line this time which includes a new pore eraser, a hydrating concealer, and a balancing skin primer.
Airbrush Essentials - Pore Eraser, X-Out Concealer, and Porcelain Primer
Each of these new items should be applied before foundation, and they're specially formulated for coverage that is lightweight with no cakey buildup, allowing you to use less foundation to achieve a full coverage, flawless look.
Eraser - this serum instantly erases large pores, redness and blotchy skin, and helps even out skin tone.
X-Out - this ultra hydrating concealer creates a soft focus effect, illuminating the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a naturally flawless look. Apply prior to foundation by lightly spraying under the eye area; blend with fingertips as necessary.
Porcelain - skin primer that helps balance your skin's texture and tone for a smoother, longer lasting, nourished, and even makeup look.
I've raved about airbrush makeup on here before, and I will continue to express my love for this lightweight and full coverage look because it's seriously that amazing. It doesn't take me any longer to apply airbrush makeup than traditional makeup, and it provides longer lasting full coverage while feeling like you're not even wearing makeup. I can't get over how it'll last all day and night even in the Florida heat and humidity. It has stood the test of time (and heat) while at outdoor weddings in the Caribbean and all day events back at home. With the new primer, conceaeler, and pore eraser this look is invincible!
