What I'm Loving Wednesday

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's time for the hump day post linking up with This Kind of Love for WILW :0)

I'm loving that this is my last full work week until the 2nd week of January. It's all down hill after that :-P

I'm loving that my UPS tracking says our Christmas cards will be delivered today. I'm not loving how hodge podgy they are, but H really wanted a "sunny Christmas card" since we live in the sunshine state, so we compromised with the Christmas lights on the palm tree. I just don't feel like the pictures flow together, but my mom thinks it was a great idea to show our past year. Maybe next year, we'll be showcasing a baby bump? Maybe...

I'm loving that we'll be home for Christmas in 3 weeks and 1 day! (Yes I plan on counting down each week!)

I'm loving that my mom said she ordered me something on Black Friday that should be arriving any day now. She said it was something that needed to be shipped instead of me bringing it back on the plane. I'm so curious as to what it could be!

I'm loving my yellow finds on Pinterest lately

As always, I'm loving my wonderful H, he seriously is the best! <3

What are you loving today?

Thanksgiving Weekend in Key West

Thanksgiving Weekend in Key West

I've been majorly slacking in posting pics and my review of our trip to Key West last weekend. Ever since we moved to Florida, we've been wanting to make the drive to Key West. We're so glad we finally went, and it was amazing!

We started off the trip with drinks by the pool before getting ready to head down to Duval Street

I got to watch the Cowboys beat the Dolphins while we finished up dinner. I actually ordered a turkey dinner which was surprisingly good, but H was a sell out and got a cheeseburger :-P

Fat Tuesdays

The next morning we got up early and had breakfast at the hotel by the pool, and got ready to go parasailing.

We had a fun photo shoot before taking off

I usually don't fall for the whole "we'll take pictures of your tour and you can buy the disc for $20" bit, but I'm so glad we did this time!

View from the air

After parasailing we headed over to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach for the afternoon. The nice thing about driving to a vacation spot instead of flying or cruising is we were able to pack our beach chairs and cooler for the beach.

Our Black Friday was comprised of drinks on the beach with ocean views

We then went back to the hotel and enjoyed a free round of drinks at the pool bar and went for a quick swim before getting ready for the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square.

Beautiful sunset

After the sunset celebration, we did some souvenir shopping, and then went to an amazing Italian restaurant up at the other end of Duval Street in a courtyard. I'm still dreaming about how amazing the food was! Garlic knots soaked in olive oil and garlic, bruschetta, anti paste salad... YUM!

We made a pit stop to take pictures at the southernmost point and then made a stop to visit my college roomate in West Palm.

It was nice to see her, and we went to a coffee shop that has amazing iced coffee and uses frozen coffee as ice cubes so it won't water it down. Genius!

Now we're counting down the days until we fly back up north for Christmas. We're so flippin' excited to see all our friends and family! :-D

Cyber Monday Bonanza

Cyber Monday Bonanza

H and I were in the Keys for Thanksgiving and Black Friday and I'm majorly slacking on posting reviews and pics from the trip.. hopefully coming tonight! So, I took full advantage of Cyber Monday yesterday. Plus, I've received emails this morning that a few stores have extended their specials into today.

Snapfish is still offering penny prints and 50% off everything else on their site

Kate Spade extended their sample sale for up to 75% off

MAC extended their free overnight shipping sale

Over the weekend, I called around and got Christmas lists from both of our families so that H and I could start figuring out where we could get the best deals for everyone's gifts.

I love shopping online, because I can do it from the comfort of my own home or the convenience from work, use online coupon codes, and of course Ebates! I always start at Ebates first and then shop and a lot of the stores on Ebates were offering double or more cash back.. double score!

Join Ebates! It's completely free and it rewards you for shopping online.

My mom said my brother needs a new black suit jacket since he lost his... yes I've racked my brain as to how he just lost his suit jacket, but he's 22 and it really doesn't fall out of character with him :-P

He's not the type to want a suit jacket that'll cost several hundred dollars (thankfully!) so I found one for him on clearance at Target.com for only $41.98! Even H was like WOW that's awesome!

My SIL requested a sleep shirt/nightgown that wasn't too "granny-ish". I searched at some of the department stores and even at Old Navy and didn't see anything to fit that description and then a light bulb went off that I should check Victorias Secret and presto!

They were having a deal for 1 for $30 and 2 for $39.50, so I decided to get 2.

She also requested Bare Escentuals foundation since she's running low, which I found at Sephora

H and I have a great tv down in the family room, but only a 19" in our room so we decided to take advantage of the sales for 32" tv's and finally upgrade the one in our room and move the 19" down to the guest room.

Samsung at Best Buy and it's still on sale!

Definitely still have a lot of shopping to do over the next few weeks, but I feel great about the deals we've gotten already.

How'd you make out on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday?

Happy Thanksgiving *Eve*

I wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend since I won't have an opportunity to hop on here. I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend with friends and loved ones. We won't be with our family, but we're counting down the days until Christmas when we can. 29 days and counting! :-D
