It's Gonna be May

It's Gonna be May

Sorry...had to, but at least I didn't post the meme. I love the month of May though, as the April showers have mostly moved on, the flowers are blooming - especially my favorite Magnolia blossoms, and the pool is warm enough for lounging in every weekend. In honor of April, which did not bring spring for most of the country and down here brought us a lot of rain I did have some favorites I wanted to recap.
This wrap dress which is perfect for work, and still on major sale for less than $24 and comes in 3 colors! Run don't walk to scoop up this office appropriate dress that meets all the criteria of staying comfortable in the warmer months.

Dress {Less than $24} Ankle Booties {40% off} | Bangles | Sunnies | Double Ring {10% off} | Necklace

Still obsessing over this cozy top. I love that it's breezy enough to keep wearing as the temps heat up especially paired with shorts and a pair of slides or sandals.

Top {40% off} Shorts {Less than $20} | Shoes {Similar} | Necklace | Double Ring | Sunnies

These green shorts... I must have had a thing for green in April. They've been on serious repeat each weekend paired with slouchy tops and tanks. Have I mentioned lately that spring and summer fashion is my fav? I have? Ok...

Shorts {Only $16.99} | Top {similar} | Lace Bralette {Less than $17} | Ankle Booties {40% off} | Bangles | Double Ring | Necklace | Lipstick | Sunnies

Lots of local fun checking out cozy coffee shops, new breweries, and the mini-golf pub crawl with Pamela, and some more outdoor living fun with Emily. We were WAY overdue for a good catch up over drinks and good food.

Sinful Colors Easy Going - not from the Sephora sale, but only $2 at Target or Amazon and great staying power!

Finished Ozark, and started binging Scandal on Netflix. Oh yes, I'm extremely late to the Olivia Pope party, but better late than never right? Now I just need her work wardrobe, and flawless skin.

What are some of your favorites from April?

The Perfect Pair

The Perfect Pair

Last year, I scooped up lots of new shorts in different colors and detailing like crochet or distressed. This year, I'm focusing on completing my collection with a distressed black pair and a fun pop of green. So, I was excited when I saw these shorts for less than $17. Yep, right into my cart without even trying them on - and they were perfect.

Friday with a Side of Beauty

Friday with a Side of Beauty

Cheers to Friday! Speaking of, it's been a while since I've shown up here on a Friday. My work weeks have been insanely busy, but I still couldn't be happier.
Since Polyvore decided to sell out, and the site that bought them out not only doesn't offer product collages but has deleted ALL previous content my non-tech-savy self has no way to create pretty collages of fun fashion, beauty, and home decor items anymore. Yes, you read that correctly - any collage you made in the past with Polyvore is now G-O-N-E. I have a lot of empty posts now, and I'm not happy about it. If you know of an easy-to-use and shall I mention free site that can do what Polyvore used to, please share the love.

Ok rant over... and almost as obnoxious as all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts in July (ok that's just impossible), today is all about the Sephora Spring Bonus Event for Beauty Insiders. Lucky Rouge-ers had early access to the sale, but VIB's and BI's were granted access today for 10-15% off everything.

My Sephora Spring Bonus Event Picks

NARSissist Wanted Cheek Palette - I got an email the other day featuring this limited edition palette, and can't get over how pretty it is. The range of shimmery pinks to matte lavenders and corals for buildable coverage is begging me to add to my cart.

UD Primer Potion - one of my holy grail products. It's a total game changer keeping my eye makeup in place all day and all night. No oily creases, no cracking, and staying fresh for hours.

Wonderlust Perfume - I got this for Christmas, and it just smells like vacation in a bottle. Perfect to ring in spring and summer.

Drybar Lemon Drop - I've raved about this brush the past few years, and just recently replaced it I love it that much. Great de-tangler without breaking my strands.

Scrub n' Mask - I stumbled upon this double duty exfoliating scrub and detoxifying treatment mask, and it'll be great to combat skin dullness. The fact that it's an ode to Rio is just a huge bonus.

Bath Bomba - another fabulous find from the Sol de Janeiro line because who doesn't love a relaxing bath and a glass of wine? Bonus points that it's made without gluten, animal by-products, propylene glycol, synthetic colors, or petrolatum, and is cruelty free.

Lip Pencils - When I remember to wear a fun lippie, these NARS lip pencils are some of my favorites! They glide on so easily, and are convenient to take on the go.

Light Chaser Highlighter - Becca highlighters are the best. What's even better? Becca highlighters on sale before the 10-15% off discount. You're welcome.

Makeup Bag - With my love of travel, I need something cute to throw my essentials in. This bag is truth.

Clarisonic Replacement Brush Head - I always put this on the back burner because it's a "boring purchase" compared to the other pretties waiting patiently on my wish list, but it's a necessity. I've had my Clarisonic Mia since late 2010, and it's still going strong. Best investment ever!

Don't forget to check out the sale section of the site, nothing beats a discount on already reduced sale items. Happy Shopping!

April Showers

April Showers

.... bring May flowers. I couldn't resist bringing these pics out of retirement with the April showers we've had this week. I just hope these showers are bringing fresh peonies.

Living in Florida means investing in a good raincoat. We may be the sunshine state (which we definitely are mostly sunshine while up north is dreary and cold), but in the summer the skies can open up at anytime particularly in the afternoon.

Raincoat {33% off}Jeans | Top {On sale for only $20} Double Ring {Less than $35!}

I can tell by the quality of these pictures they're not from this year, but I had to re-share this amazing coat which has a removable lining to keep you warm or cool depending on the time of year the rain hits. Oh and it's currently on sale!

Same Places... Different Weekends

Same Places... Different Weekends

This weekend looked pretty similar to last weekend's fun. We hit up the same local coffee shop, and H and I brought lil' miss to some of the same spots I checked out with Pamela and the boys last weekend for the mini-golf pub crawl at the local breweries downtown. Another beautiful spring weekend perfect for exploring, eating and drinking local, and relaxation.

Last weekend we had a lot of fun playing putt-putt at each spot downtown, and even mixed in some bubbles and a game of bocce ball.

This weekend, we made our way back out to some of the same local spots and enjoyed plenty of outdoor living. It's exciting to see all the new places coming to downtown - more breweries, a distillery, restaurants, coffee shops, etc...

*First things first... bubbles of course*

*With a side of RBF apparently....*

*Blogger fail - bumping the table and spilling your pretty latte before taking a posed pic*

Giving Spring the Cold Shoulder

Giving Spring the Cold Shoulder

It may be heating up outside, but I still can't get enough of breezy cold shoulder tops. I scooped up this fun top last week on my lunch break when I found it in the clearance section. It may be selling out quick, so I also linked a very similar top just in case. This top is perfect paired with shorts and comfortable walking shoes for a lazy Saturday or Sunday of shopping, grabbing coffee, or day drinking on a patio somewhere enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
