Jewel Toned

Jewel Toned

I can't get enough jewel tones, and I'm immediately drawn to these colors in my closet right now. This top I scooped up at Express a few seasons ago is the perfect shade of green, and it's oh so cozy and light weight for Florida fall.

Cozy Chic

Cozy Chic

Happy Friday! I've rounded up some of my cozy favorites to enjoy a relaxing fall weekend at home or a local winery.
Cozy Chic
Cold Shoulder Sweatshirt - Express | OTS Sweater - BB Dakota | Jeans - BP. | Booties {20% off} - Vince Camuto | Ring - Kendra Scott | Copper Candle - Illume | Thankful Wine Glasses {similar} - Crate and Barrel | Eyeshadow - NARS

I can't get enough of slouchy cold shoulder or OTS sweaters and sweatshirts. They're just so cozy, and can be easily dressed up or down if you're heading out for fall fun. If I'm dressing up the look, I like to add some statement jewelry and sparkly eyeshadow for a little pop and my favorite peep toe booties. This look is perfect for lounging on the patio sipping an apple cider mimosa or my homemade spiced mulled wine (recipe found here), or for getting lost in the corn maze and pumpkin picking.

Time to Celebrate

Time to Celebrate

In preparation of celebrating baby girl turning 1 this weekend *seriously how is this already happening*, we had a fun mommy and me photo shoot complete with tulle skirts. I didn't want us to be overly matchy-matchy, but to coordinate and have fun. And that we did!

Skirt {similar} - Asos | Top - Old | Heels - Michael Kors | Necklace - Rocksbox | Bracelet - Gift | Lipstick in Smile - Giorgio Armani | Sunnies - Marc Jacobs

We took countless pictures of the birthday girl, but I'm saving those for her party decor and to print up and frame for family. Some of my favorites are where she's waving at the camera or the ones where she's giggling. Those baby girl laughs are contagious!

This weekend was filled with party planning for a certain lil' miss who is turning one, and enjoying the beautiful weather. The presents have already started arriving for the birthday girl including the cutest little shift dress and matching booties from my aunt and uncle.

Friday Favs

Friday Favs

I can't believe it's already time to start thinking about a 2018 planner, what happened to 2017? Even though I can't wrap my head around 2018 being around the corner, I'm excited to plan all the fun it'll hold. I was sent a beautiful Kitlife Planner which will help me keep it together with events, appointments, projects, birthdays, and of course my all time favorite - travel. This daily planner dedicates time and space to gratitude, goal setting, healthy habits, and personal development.

It's such a pretty planner that I can't wait to fill with notes and important events. My favorite part was the inspiration each month, especially for the month of April which is the best time to book a cruise - which by the way is my favorite way to travel! Seeing several new islands/countries, only unpacking once, impeccable service, and getting dressed up for dinner and a show each night? That's my kind of vacation.

Even though I was too hot in it, and learned my lesson that next year I should stick to comfort and wear a sundress I'm still crushing on this flannel top I wore to the pumpkin patch last weekend. And it's less than $20!

Top and Shorts - Target | Ankle Booties - Kristin Cavalarri for Chinese Laundry | Ring {similar} - Nakamol | Sunnies - Kate Spade | Necklace - Kendra Scott | Nail Polish in Wicked - Essie | Lipstick in Smile - Giorgio Armani

Have you entered my giveaway for $100 off a JORD watch? You'll receive $25 off just for entering! Both the $100 and $25 codes will expire on November 30th so run don't walk to enter!

I know for a lot of people, pool and beach season is over but here in the sunshine state we'll still be going strong for several more weeks. Plus, there's no better time for a beach getaway then in the middle of dreary old man winter am I right? This beach tote is perfect for heading to the beach or for the next tropical getaway. It has my name all over it, and I can't resist it!

I'm finally getting my hair done this weekend! When I say finally, I'm talking it's been more than 7 months since I last saw my stylist. I'm sure those of you who go like clockwork every 6-8 weeks are clutching your pearls right now. The damaged split ends, the grown out highlights, the grays *eek*, oh it's a mess. Looking forward to a much-needed refresh, and feeling like myself again.

Tried and True

Tried and True

I've tried a lot of products over the years, and have found myself repeatedly coming back to my holy grail items. I thought it would be fun to switch things up from a styled look today to showcase what items I have been re-stocking.

Must Have Beauty

Essie Gel Top Coat - I paint my nails each week, and nothing is more frustrating then when they chip a day or two later. Essie's Gel Top Coat not only sets my nails faster, but they last days longer than with a regular top coat.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation - I don't know why I ever strayed away from this holy grail makeup item, but I did and the prodigal son (errr daughter) returned sometime last year. I love how it provides a flawless canvas for the rest of my makeup without feeling like makeup.

EOS Lip Balm - these cute little eggs are found everywhere. My purse, my bedside table, my desk at work, my makeup vanity, etc...

Drybar Lemon Detangler Brush - I was on the hunt for a brush that would detangle my hair without breaking it. Enter Drybar who can do no wrong! I mean they invented the salon where you get a blowout for an event, and serve champs. Always winning!

Maybelline Falsies Mascara - I've tried every other brand at Target and at Sephora, and swear by Falsies even over the super pricey brands.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - I have yet to find another eyelid primer that will hold a candle to UD. If you have, and it'll save me some pennies let me know your secrets!

NARS Creamy Concealer - Thank you Biana for introducing me to this product! It's the best concealer for those hereditary under eye dark circles that never go away no matter how much sleep I get.

E.L.F. Shadow Brush - Who says you need to pay more than $1 for a good eyeshadow brush? As much as I love my MAC and Sephora brushes, this little guy is in constant rotation. And yes, it truly is only $1!

Garnier Micellar Water - my favorite makeup remover. It's easy after a late night or at the end of a long day to feel fresh faced again.

Clarisonic Mia - I scooped one of these gadgets up back in 2011, and she's still going strong! My face always feel so much more clean after a long day in lieu of washing it with just a cleanser and water. It gets deep down to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Well worth the price and then some!

What are some of your health and beauty items that you find yourself coming back to?

Pumpkins, Flannel, and Boots! Oh My!

Pumpkins, Flannel, and Boots! Oh My!

I got my basic on this weekend, and baby girl got to go to her first pumpkin patch. She was squealing with delight checking out all the pumpkins, gourds, hayrides, the corn maze, and even "driving a tractor". Who says fall doesn't happen in Florida?

The weekend was also good for some online shopping, and I'm all about filling up my shopping cart with jackets for fall especially this frayed denim jacket from Mixology. After losing my denim jacket at the airport last spring, I need a new one and this one is not only perfect but I love how it has a little edge to it.

The Luxurious Gift of Time

The Luxurious Gift of Time

Time is a tricky thing as we're constantly wishing it would speed up or slow down, but it's also a privilege. With the events of this past week, I'm so thankful for the privilege that I have the time to hug and kiss my husband and our sweet baby girl today. I'm thankful that I can pick up the phone at any time and call or text both of our friends who were in Las Vegas last weekend. One of whom is back home safe, and the other who lived through the unspeakable horror of being barricaded in their bathroom the night of the shooting because they happened to be staying on the same floor as the shooter. The emotions I've felt are endless, but overall I'm thankful for the luxurious gift of time.

My husband loves watches, and I knew he'd love adding a luxurious wooden watch from JORD to his collection. He's been fascinated with wooden watches and how unique they are, so he was excited to pick one out for himself. Which of course he took his precious time doing.....

He chose the Dover Ebony and Copper watch, and has already received so many compliments on it. Several of his co-workers and buddies are asking where they can scoop one up for themselves. And since it's self winding, it'll be a cinch to "fall back" with the upcoming Daylight Savings.

CLASS & VERSATILITY

Copper alloys are known for their versatility and luster. We've incorporated just the right amount of elegance with some pop in our Dover Ebony & Copper. Rich ebony is set off by a brilliant ring of genuine copper. A true collection of elements that makes for an eye-catching timepiece. It's fine to settle. Settle your nerves, settle the score. Just don't settle for less.

You can enter to win $100 toward an amazing Luxury Wooden Watch for yourself or as a gift for someone else (can you believe the holidays are already rapidly approaching?!) by entering the giveaway which runs through October 22nd at 11:59pm. An added bonus is, they'll send you a $25 off code just for entering! Both the $100 and $25 codes will expire on November 30th so run don't walk to enter!

Thank you JORD for sponsoring this post.

Laced Up and Cozy

Laced Up and Cozy

How is it October already? Better yet, how is baby girl turning ONE this month?! I'm in disbelief that my baby is almost a toddler, but before I shed a tear let's talk about this cozy slouchy sweater that is light enough to wear even in the sunshine state before we cool off in the coming weeks. The lighter material, the fun open back, and the OTS detailing make it comfortable enough to wear now paired with my favorite shorts.

Monday Deals Over Coffee

Monday Deals Over Coffee

Am I the only one who's in total disbelief that it's already October?! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend filled with nostalgia since we were able to score one of the highly anticipated SNES Classics, and we thought the local Bacon and Brews festival was going to be rained out (newsflash - it wasn't) so we stayed in town. Between games of Super Mario World, Zelda, and Super Mario Kart I baked my first fall treats of the year ~ pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (recipe found here), and shopped the sales. So, I decided to round up some of my favorite items that can all be found at great discounts. Because who wants to pay full price?

It's not fall without a go-with-everything pair of ankle booties, and my favorite pair the past few years has been these slouchy peep toe beauties. Since it doesn't get chilly here until the calendar says winter, they're great paired with dresses, skirts, leggings, and shorts. Once it cools down, I'll pair them with my go-to denim as well. Did I mention they're comfy enough for all day walking at the local fairs and festivals too?

Peep Toe Booties {33% off} - Kristin Cavalarri for Chinese Laundry

One of my favorite dresses ever is this ruched body-con number that I wore on the plane to San Francisco, and it was the perfect cozy piece for traveling and hitting the ground site seeing once we arrived. It's not on sale *womp womp*, but I have seen it go on sale so keep an eye on it if you're looking for a discount. I'm just excited that there are now 8 colors to choose from as it's a total closet staple. I am definitely scooping up more! It's great on it's own or under a jacket.

Dress - Leith | Bag {70% off} - Deux Lux | Shoes - Adidas

The prep in me lives in J. Crew's chino shorts which I only scoop up when on sale. I love all the bright color choices, and how they go with my cozy tanks, tees, and slouchy sweaters.

Chino Shorts {33% off} - J. Crew

My favorite pop of leopard are these shoes which I wear with shorts, pants, skirts, and dresses. In the words of Forrest Gump, "These are my magic shoes, momma said they can take me anywhere!"

Espadrilles {40% off} - Soludos

Influenster has hit another one out of the park. I received the Ecstasy Shine voxbox over the weekend, and have been having so much fun testing out these amazing lippies. I love that Smile is a great every day color, and I can see Four Hundred being on repeat for the holiday season as a fun bold red.

Lipstick in Smile and Four Hundred - Giorgio Armani

Speaking of sales, there is a big one going on at Mixology featuring brands like BB Dakota (one of my all time favs), Gab & Kate, and J.O.A. You can shop this amazing sale here through Tuesday, October 3rd.
