Stuffed with Sparkle

Tired of the over abundance of gift guides yet? Yeah, me too... so I like to think of this as more of a round up of my favorite fun pieces to find wrapped in "Santa Paper" in my stocking on Christmas morning. Feel free to play along!
Stocking Stuffers

I'm all about shimmer and sparkle especially during the holiday season, and I add this shimmering powder to all my makeup looks this time of year. 

I used to stop for coffee every morning before work, but have been loving setting my coffee maker to brew when I get up in the morning to bring it with me. Easy peasy! So, this mug is definitely a necessity.

Believe it or not, it does get pretty chilly here and sometimes even downright cold in the sunshine state as we head into winter and this beanie is too darling to pass up. 

I love to bake, especially during the holiday season and thought these cookie presses were too cute. Plus they're a fun take on one of my favorite coffee table book. 

Perfume to go? Yes please! Something like Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue is always a classic, and never goes out of style. One of my all time favs!

I have tried countless mascaras both designer and drug store brands, and yet I keep coming back to my trusty Falsies. They give my lashes the best volume and fullness without flaking or caking. And you can't beat the price, perfect lil' stocking stuffer!

Treating someone to their morning cup of coffee is always a great idea, and Starbucks gift cards can be easily loaded onto their app to use towards collecting more coveted gold stars.

Another cute idea is to pick up the mini bottles of La Marca Prosecco (found at Target or liquor stores), and tie a straw to them for instant bubbles. Santa does get me!

Tried and True

I've tried a lot of products over the years, and have found myself repeatedly coming back to my holy grail items. I thought it would be fun to switch things up from a styled look today to showcase what items I have been re-stocking.

Must Have Beauty
Essie Gel Top Coat - I paint my nails each week, and nothing is more frustrating then when they chip a day or two later. Essie's Gel Top Coat not only sets my nails faster, but they last days longer than with a regular top coat.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation - I don't know why I ever strayed away from this holy grail makeup item, but I did and the prodigal son (errr daughter) returned sometime last year. I love how it provides a flawless canvas for the rest of my makeup without feeling like makeup. 

EOS Lip Balm - these cute little eggs are found everywhere. My purse, my bedside table, my desk at work, my makeup vanity, etc... 

Drybar Lemon Detangler Brush - I was on the hunt for a brush that would detangle my hair without breaking it. Enter Drybar who can do no wrong! I mean they invented the salon where you get a blowout for an event, and serve champs. Always winning!

Maybelline Falsies Mascara - I've tried every other brand at Target and at Sephora, and swear by Falsies even over the super pricey brands. 

Urban Decay Primer Potion - I have yet to find another eyelid primer that will hold a candle to UD. If you have, and it'll save me some pennies let me know your secrets! 

NARS Creamy Concealer - Thank you Biana for introducing me to this product! It's the best concealer for those hereditary under eye dark circles that never go away no matter how much sleep I get. 

E.L.F. Shadow Brush - Who says you need to pay more than $1 for a good eyeshadow brush? As much as I love my MAC and Sephora brushes, this little guy is in constant rotation. And yes, it truly is only $1! 

Garnier Micellar Water - my favorite makeup remover. It's easy after a late night or at the end of a long day to feel fresh faced again. 

Clarisonic Mia - I scooped one of these gadgets up back in 2011, and she's still going strong! My face always feel so much more clean after a long day in lieu of washing it with just a cleanser and water. It gets deep down to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Well worth the price and then some!

Saturday Please Stay

If only that could come true or at least partly true so that our weekends didn't fly by in the blink of an eye. One of my friends gave me this fun tee for my birthday, and it's officially my new weekend uniform along with any graphic tee talking about brunch or champagne of course.

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! How is it already the last one in April?! Spring is flying by, before we know it it'll be summer and everyone will be rushing fall *sigh*. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons by far, and I have lots of favorites from this week leading into the best time of year.
1. Urban Decay has done it again, and I may need to pick up the new Through the Looking Glass palette. Not only is it a gorgeous palette, but check out that amazing packaging! So many great shades that'll take us right through spring and summer into fall.
2. There's also a new OPI nail collection that I'm super excited about, and I can't decide which shade I like best. I may need to pick up the 4 piece mini set to start with.



3. Speaking of nails, yesterday I had a pedicure date with Pamela. It was nice to have some girl time while being pampered, and we both went with a coral color with a hint of sparkle.


4. I think I've found my spring and summer scent in Michael Kors' Coral eau de parfum. I was initially drawn in by the review that just one spritz transports you to a sun-drenched citrus grove in the tropics. Yes please!

It's no secret that Sephora is currently having a spring sale - 10% off everything for Beauty Insiders and 15% off everything for VIB and Rouge members. I love when they have these semi-annual sales, because it's a great time to stock up on every day items and other items I've yet to pull the trigger on.

Sephora Collection Microsmooth Baked Blush - My favorite blush is from the Sephora Collection, I love the light shimmer so what better time to stock up?
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit - How gorgeous is this glow kit?! The packaging alone draws me in, and the metallic highlighters make this limited edition palette a must-buy for me.
Drybar Hot Toddy - I mentioned that this product was on my radar on Friday, and with 15% off it'll be a great time to try it out considering I love all Drybar products.
Drybar Full Pint Medium Round Brush - Another Drybar product I've been waiting to purchase, I'm still loving my Lemon Drop Detangler so I'm sure I'll love this brush too for the perfect blowout.
Clarisonic Deep Pore Replacement Brush Head - Such a boring purchase, but since I go embarrassingly too long in-between changing my brush heads I should definitely take advantage of the 15% off.
Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush - Not only does this brush create a flawless finish, but it's also vegan. It was developed to perfectly apply the Naked Skin foundation.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo - Kerri's hair looked so fabulous the other day, and she said she owed it to this dry shampoo. Her hair is just as fine as mine, and she highly recommends this dry shampoo over the cheaper ones in drug stores. Sold!

Urban Decay Naked on the Run

On Friday, I mentioned how much I loved packing my Naked on the Run palette for my trip to Islamorada. It was great having everything I needed other than my foundation and primer in one palette. While on the trip, I used the blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. The gloss and the eyeshadow were my favorite in the palette, as they were perfect for day or night.

Cheers to the Weekend

Happy Friday! Even with the short week, it sure is beautiful to welcome in the weekend!
1. One of my favorite items that I packed for Islamorada last weekend was my Urban Decay Naked on the Run palette. I still brought my Studio Fix foundation and primer, but the palette had all my other essentials including eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, and lip gloss.

2. Roxy is loving her recent Chewy shipment, this month she's enjoying the Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Venison Lung Bites Grain Free Treats which are high in protein for my girl.
3. Tickets are officially booked to fly up to CT, and meet my new nephew! As much as I'm not looking forward to the cold, I can't wait for baby snuggles and to see some family. I'm also going to embrace the winter season and go tubing at Powder Ridge. I haven't been since high school, and I can't wait!
4. I'm usually all about the 3-wick candles at Bath and Body Works, but the cooler weather has been extremely drying for my skin. I've been loving my lotions which have been a lifesaver for my poor hands.

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! This first week back at work after so much time off for the holidays was not as rough as I expected, but my alarm clock is most certainly not my friend. Looking forward to sleeping in and some playoff football this weekend...
1. I've been loving my Bar Method membership, and the convenience of getting an amazing workout during my lunch break.

2. Still obsessed with this book, I've been reading it every night and taking notes. So many fabulous tips on where to go, eat, shop, drink, etc..

4. I received the Sephora Lingzhi Mask in my stocking and love how soft it's left my skin, plus it's giving me more of a glow which is always appreciated especially when I'm extra tired.
