Hello Friday!

Happy Friday!

1. Other than one day of much needed rain this week, the weather has been absolute perfection. Yesterday was the icing on the cake with not a cloud in the sky, temps in the upper 70's, and low humidity. Trying to enjoy it before it becomes super hot, but at least then we can just cool off in the pool or at the beach. LOVE summer!

2. Last week I talked about my love for the new Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection, and I couldn't wait to see the products in person. The UD palette is even more gorgeous in person, and I'm obsessed with the pop up butterfly! The nail polishes are just as pretty too, I want to collect them all!

3. Speaking of the beautiful Through the Looking Glass collections, I picked up two of the beautiful polishes on lunch the other day. It was a hard decision to narrow it down to just two for now, but I picked up I'm Gown for Anything (which I'm rocking this weekend) and Mad for Madness Sake. Looking forward to rocking Mad for Madness Sake next week on a trip.

4.  I guest posted for Pinky while she's sailing the Eastern Mediterranean about my first Mediterranean cruise a few years ago on the Norwegian Epic. Hop on over and check it out and say hi here.

4. Remember on Monday when I raved about Nordstrom's out of this world amazing customer service? Well, my new watch arrived on Tuesday, and she's perfect! I'm still sad about my cobalt blue watch, but can't stop staring at this new beauty!

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! How is it already the last one in April?! Spring is flying by, before we know it it'll be summer and everyone will be rushing fall *sigh*. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons by far, and I have lots of favorites from this week leading into the best time of year.

1. Urban Decay has done it again, and I may need to pick up the new Through the Looking Glass palette. Not only is it a gorgeous palette, but check out that amazing packaging! So many great shades that'll take us right through spring and summer into fall.

2. There's also a new OPI nail collection that I'm super excited about, and I can't decide which shade I like best. I may need to pick up the 4 piece mini set to start with.

3. Speaking of nails, yesterday I had a pedicure date with Pamela. It was nice to have some girl time while being pampered, and we both went with a coral color with a hint of sparkle.

4. I think I've found my spring and summer scent in Michael Kors' Coral eau de parfum. I was initially drawn in by the review that just one spritz transports you to a sun-drenched citrus grove in the tropics. Yes please!

Friday Favs

Even though it was a short week for me, it sure feels good to be Friday, especially with so much to love this week. And a certain special blogger is celebrating her big day today, Happy Wedding Day Amanda!!

1. Since we were off on Monday, we decided to go out for breakfast, and take a walk on the beautiful trail near where we ate. We picked up coffees at Panera after putting our names in at a cafe, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and then had a delicious breakfast on the restaurant's outdoor patio. Now that's my kind of Monday morning!

2. Found a cute new doggy bakery and spa for Roxy (still cracks me up that doggies have day spas!), and fell in love with their treat buffet. Too cute!

3. Painted my nails this week for the cause with OPI's "I Think in Pink" with a layer of "You Glitter be Good to Me" on my accent nails.

4. Ok... a lot of you know about my sequinned legging fiasco. If not, I'll fill you in...it all started when I posted about these fabulously beautiful sequinned leggings last week. A bunch of people told me to go for it, and place the order. I finally did over the weekend, only to get an email several hours later that my order was cancelled because the item was out of stock grrrrrr. I then went back to the website where it was still showing my size in stock... double grrrr! So, I decided to call customer service. They apologized for the inconvenience and told me that the next size up was available, and they offered me 25% off for the hassle. So my sparkly pretty pants are on their way, and I'm hoping they won't be too big. And if any of you had any trouble placing an order, call customer service and let them know. Hopefully they'll have a size similar to yours and they'll hook you up with a discount as well.

Holiday Makeup

The holiday season is hands down my favorite time of year for dressing up and experimenting with fun makeup looks. Bring on all the lace and sparkles! I tend to go with a lot of red and gold this time of year, and that is apparent in my makeup looks for all the holiday parties and festivities as well. I like to go with shimmery gold eye makeup with a bold red lip and nails.

This year's line up features some oldies but goodies (Naked3, Smashbox Softlights, Benefit's They're Real! Mascara, and my end all and be all UD Primer Potion) along with some new products I'm currently obsessed with. I am absolutely loving my new bareMinerals Blemish Remedy foundation and Naked Illuminating shimmer which together provide great coverage and the perfect hint of holiday sparkle. Add some bold eyeliner, red nails, and some red lipstick with some UD All Nighter spray to set your makeup and you're ready to deck the halls.

Pool Party & BBQ Take 2

Happy June! I can't believe June is here, it's my favorite month of the year because it's the beginning of my favorite season and it's the month we celebrate our wedding anniversary. I can't contain my excitement for all the beach and pool days, BBQ's, outdoor concerts, and fun in the sun for the coming months. Best.time.of.year.

1. Finally picked up a yoga mat! My new job offers free yoga classes during lunch twice a week, can't wait to take advantage.

2. My Sephora order arrived, and I'm excited to indulge in all the beautifulness.

3. Painted my nails with OPI's Chic from Ears to Tail and Which is Witch

4. My package from Nikki arrived with the sweetest card from her. Can't wait to use the palette from her giveaway!

5. We had another pool party/BBQ at the house

6. H and K playing corn hole

7. Cake mix cookie {recipe coming tomorrow for the recipe link up}

8. K multi tasking while manning the grill and indulging in some fireball

9. We enjoyed catching up with Emily and K and K even taught me how to "ally oop"!
