Thanksgiving Weekend in Key West

I've been majorly slacking in posting pics and my review of our trip to Key West last weekend. Ever since we moved to Florida, we've been wanting to make the drive to Key West. We're so glad we finally went, and it was amazing!

We started off the trip with drinks by the pool before getting ready to head down to Duval Street

I got to watch the Cowboys beat the Dolphins while we finished up dinner. I actually ordered a turkey dinner which was surprisingly good, but H was a sell out and got a cheeseburger :-P

Fat Tuesdays

The next morning we got up early and had breakfast at the hotel by the pool, and got ready to go parasailing.

We had a fun photo shoot before taking off

I usually don't fall for the whole "we'll take pictures of your tour and you can buy the disc for $20" bit, but I'm so glad we did this time!

View from the air

After parasailing we headed over to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach for the afternoon. The nice thing about driving to a vacation spot instead of flying or cruising is we were able to pack our beach chairs and cooler for the beach.

Our Black Friday was comprised of drinks on the beach with ocean views

We then went back to the hotel and enjoyed a free round of drinks at the pool bar and went for a quick swim before getting ready for the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square.

Beautiful sunset

After the sunset celebration, we did some souvenir shopping, and then went to an amazing Italian restaurant up at the other end of Duval Street in a courtyard. I'm still dreaming about how amazing the food was! Garlic knots soaked in olive oil and garlic, bruschetta, anti paste salad... YUM!

We made a pit stop to take pictures at the southernmost point and then made a stop to visit my college roomate in West Palm.

It was nice to see her, and we went to a coffee shop that has amazing iced coffee and uses frozen coffee as ice cubes so it won't water it down. Genius!

Now we're counting down the days until we fly back up north for Christmas. We're so flippin' excited to see all our friends and family! :-D
