Basically Friday

Happy Friday! I'm going to go totally basic on all of you today with my excitement over Sephora, Nordstrom, and Starbucks today. Brace yourself!
1. As I'm sure you've seen all over the blogiverse today starts the VIB sale, you can find my picks here. I'll be back next week to share what I picked up for Christmas gifts and some gifts for myself.
2. Starbucks BOGO holiday drinks are back this weekend. Now through Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00pm enjoy buy one get one free of their select holiday drinks. Go get your yummy caffeine fix on while running holiday errands or getting ready to go out for the evening.
3.  As if I needed another reason to love Nordstrom more, they seriously continue to win all the prizes. In the past several years as stores have been opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving Day masquerading as "Black Friday", I've felt awful for the employees forced to work instead of stuffing their faces with turkey and enjoying time with their family and friends. I will never shop on Thanksgiving, and love supporting stores that choose to open their doors on the actual Black Friday.
4. One of my favorite things is a handwritten note, and I still can't get over how adorable these bulldog cards are.

    Great stuff today, lady! Hope you get all your goodies from Sephora, I snapped mine up woohoo! We will have to compare notes. I've always thought Nordstrom stood above all the other stores, but they truly show it this time of year. I will continue to show my support to stores that honor their workers and their customers.

    Your pins are on point today, especially the last quote. Trends aren't for everyone and the smart pick and choose what actually works for their body. You'll never see me in a poncho because I don't want to look like a kid playing dress up in my older sisters clothes [seen it, and it made me shake my head in sympathy], but I can appreciate the trend when it's on the right body type.     I love what stores (bigger ones especially) are implementing for Black Friday this year - some even going so far as to release deals earlier in the week so that people can enjoy the holiday!!     Did Nordstrom mean they aren't doing Black Friday, or they just aren't decorating for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving? Thats how I took it but I support any store that doesn't succumb to the Black Friday nonsense that's turned people into animals!

    Woohoo!! Friday goodness!! I am actually going to Seohora today!! I too am very old school and love a handwritten note. Those are so very cute! I hope your weekend is all things amazing and have fun Sephora shopping gorgeous!!

    seriously nordstrom - i miss you in central florida! of course they are just perfection :) i need to run to starbucks today too for a treat. i was too lazy yesterday but today i may have to! not that i need two drinks in my possession haha. happy friday love!!

    the best concealer that covers everything without making your face/skin cakey is Giorgio Armani master corrector and concealer!! it's the only one i use :D

    I love any retail store that closes on Thanksgiving. I have had to work on holidays and it's not always a choice to work, most times it's "encouraged" Girl, you find the best pins, I love that white sweater with the red hearts! So cute. Have a fab weekend.

    I love love love the stores that aren’t open on Thanksgiving – I don’t do Black Friday anyway but opening up that much early is so stupid and kind of ruins the purpose of the POST Thanksgiving day of shopping sales. Love handwritten notes – so personal! I wish getting actual mail was used more often!

    I love that so many stores are getting back into being CLOSED on Thanksgiving. Unless you're a grocery store, it's not necessary. lol

    Oh starbucks B1G1? I didn't know that! do you have to share or can you keep both for yourself? Love that sweater with the heart elbowpads. handwritten cards are super sweet. I want to incorporate handwritten card to clients when I make some sales. I know some people will appreciate an old fashion handwritten note. Trish - tales from trish

    Good for Nordstrom!! That makes me happy! I remember last year we went Black Friday shopping (on Friday, not Thanksgiving lol) and they didn't open until like 10am which is practically unheard of! Wish more stores would follow their lead. So excited for the Sephora sale of course - I'm heading there after lunch and can't wait!!

    I love that Nordstrom is not opening. I never shop on Thanksgiving and I hate the stores that make their employees work and miss the holiday. Good for them!

    I was so happy to see that Nords sign at my mall! I understand the need to make money, but some things are sacred and cherished holidays (Thanksgiving) that everyone deserves to celebrate. Have a great weekend girl!

    Since I work in retail, I fully support stores not being open on Thanksgiving. Good for Nordstrom too. Just another reason to shop there haha. Love getting handwritten notes too. I also love writing them. It is just nice a way of letting someone know that you really care. :-) Love your favorite pins too!! Have a fab weekend!! :-)

    And I do agree on the Nordstrom idea - too bad other department stores won't get the hint how ridiculous it can be.
    I need to try those concealers because of my allergies I always get bad circles under my eyes. Thanks for the lovely tips!

    That blue dress and those heart elbows! I die!!! I heard about Nordstrom. I wish all stores would go back to opening on Friday!!! It is called Black Friday not Thursday. I refuse to leave thanksgiving dinner with my family for shopping. Sorry, no deal is worth that to me. I partake in black Friday shopping but not missing dinner!

    love that nordstom is doing that. i worked target a couple of years ago, i think, and they opened late thursday for 'black friday' and a lot of the staff volunteered to work because they didn't have families or didn't want to celebrate thanksgiving.. but then some people were 'forced' to work and i just hated that!
