Even though in blog world, it looks like summer is over MAC knows what's up and that it's still in fact summer. Most of us are still spending our weekends by the pool or at the beach, and with that our skin needs some recovery love.
Swan Floatie - Sunnylife | Hat - BP. | Lip Conditioner - MAC | Facial Water Spray - Evian | After Sun Milk - Moroccan Oil | Mineralize Charged Water - MAC | Sunnies - Marc Jacobs
I never knew sunburnt lips could hurt so bad, and be a peeling mess until my Southern Caribbean cruise back in 2009. I now make sure to slather on plenty of chapstick with SPF in it, but if I still end up burning that sensitive area on my face MAC's lip conditioner is the perfect antidote.
When I've been kissed by the sun just enough without any damage, I like to slather on Moroccan Oil's After Sun Milk which enhances my glow. Plus I love how the first ingredient is water!
The combination of mineralized water plus in MAC's Charged Water instantly rehydrates while also adding radiance. A healthy summer glow!

I made so many mistakes in the sun and have regretted them - sun poisoning is not fun! I steer clear of lounging now and apply sunscreen like its my job every day LOL! Love that pool floatie :) xo, Biana-BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteWith you all the way my friend and two skin cancer removals to prove it! Great product and happy weekend doll!
ReplyDeleteLove that facial spray! I had skin cancer on my face a few months ago, so I am pretty fanatical about sunscreen!! Happy Friday!!
ReplyDeleteAs I've gotten older I definitely have learned to protect my skin more than I had before!! No body wants more wrinkles than necessary! Love this post!

i burnt my lips once and i don't remember a burn hurting that bad ever! lips are the one area that many people forget to protect.
ReplyDeleteI have to try that water. I was a huge sun junkie and did all of the bad things and definitely paid the price in the form of melanoma really young. I swear just being outside in the Summer, even in the shade, requires full rehydration!
ReplyDeleteThese are good products and they are for sure needed because the sun can be very damaging.

Sunscreen is so key to me. Its a huge part of my routine!
ReplyDeleteThat evian spray is amazing!!! Sunscreen is so important. I'm not as good about applying it as I should be but I'm trying to remember it more often.
ReplyDeleteUgh don't even remind me how horrible I was to my skin when I was younger and all the things I shouldn't have done when out in the sun. I use that Mac Lip Conditioner every night and I am obsessed! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteI did the tanning beds in college for a few years and I hate myself everyday for it looking back. SO STUPID! I take super good care of my skin now though and hopefully can undo that damage!
ReplyDeleteYes, Sunscreen is a must! The higher the SPF--the better for my skin.

Basically just need all of these things! FL necessities!
ReplyDeleteooh what is fake n' bake? lol it sounds dangerous. at home we call sunbathing or laying out 'sun baking' lol because that's what you do, bake. i was the same though, hardly ever wore sunscreen except as a kid when mum made me. and skin cancer is crazy at home, so you'd think we'd be really strict about it. i definitely am now, but you know. can't turn back the clock! i am very intrigued by that mac spray and the moroccan oil after sun milk.
ReplyDeleteI can't say no to fun a pool float! That bronze swan is so fun!
ReplyDeleteSunscreen is so important, I couldn't agree more! These picks are perfect and so cute!

Oh man skin protection is so important! Couldnt agree more.
ReplyDeleteThat swan float and the hat - so cute! Oh gosh - getting burned on the lips is the worst! I feel like when it happens to you once, never again because the lesson's been learned!
ReplyDeleteI was the EXACT same when growing up. Refused to wear sunscreen, had a month pass to fake n bake, and use tanning oil and baby oil way too often. What was I thinking? All these products look amazing! I am loving that gold swan floatie! Hope you have a great weekend!

I had no clue MAC has products for after-sun care. The lip lotion sounds amazing! I'm still true to using Aloe Vera as a cooling lotion for sunburns but always up for trying new products. I did the same reckless baby oil tanning and such in my days but as we grow older, it really takes a toll with skin damage so I'm all about "safe sun" as you say! xo Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteNow I feel guilty for not taking enough care of my skin :(

I love love love the hat and sunglasses. And I'm with ya. I look back at my younger years, and I was so not smart when it came to the sun. Not to mention stupid tanning beds. Eek! Now I just stay pale. :)
ReplyDeleteI live in a tropical country so protecting my skin is my skincare's #1 priority :)
ReplyDeletexx Alyssa // STYLE VANITY
I was the same :( The worst was one year the whites of my eyes got sunburnt. Now I freak out every time I get a burn. I'm making a note of these products you mentioned. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteUgh when I think about spending so many summer days laying out wit tanning oil for hours I cringe too! I'm so much more careful now!
ReplyDeleteHeard about MAC's lip conditioner before, but havent used it personally. Will definitely put it one my list next time I shop for lipsticks. Thanks for your tips!
