Relaxing Weekending

Happy Leap Year Day! I was a little under the weather this weekend, so it was nice to lay low and get a lot done around the house while also enjoying the perfect weather outside and indulging in not-so-good-for-you food.

Friday was low-key with some takeout, and a Netflix binge switching between Fuller House and Making a Murderer. I enjoyed switching back to Fuller House for something light and airy after such a depressing true story. Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day! I went shopping for some things for the house, and then went on a beautiful bike ride before heading out for lunch with H to sit outside and enjoy the weather on the lake. Afterwards the couch was calling my name, and I officially passed out around 9:15. Total old lady status here!

Sunday was another beautiful day which started with trying out a new-to-us donut shop for some sugary goodness which was enjoyed on the patio with Roxy. Catching up on magazines by the pool and some yard work rounded out the rest of my quiet weekend. As much as I love these low key weekends, I'm looking forward to a more packed social schedule again next weekend.

Ready for Spring

Ready for Spring

Happy Friday! I can't believe this is the last weekend of February, but I am so ready for spring. Bring on all the fun floral prints and colors!

1. I ventured away from my usual skinny vanilla latte or cold brew this week, and tried out the iced green tea latte. It was definitely different, but good. I'll have to try it again.

2. It's going to be binge-watching season in my house with Fuller House debuting today, and House of Cards season 4 on March 4th. Can't wait!

3. I'm looking to pick up NYX's Pore Filler this weekend after reading about it over at Steph's while Jill was guest posting for her. I wasn't a fan of Maybelline's Baby Skin, so I'm hoping this will be a great dupe for Benefit's POREfessional.

4. I may need to pick up this KS passport holder for upcoming trips this year. To travel is to live, might as well do so in style.

So many colorful fun athleisure pieces perfect for the gym, barre classes, yoga, running errands, or lounging around on the weekends. Gorgeous Weekending

Monday, we meet again.... but I can't complain. This past weekend was the perfect balance of fun and relaxation, along with picture perfect weather.

On Friday, the new sectional arrived and I'm in love with it! So happy to have "upgraded" to recliners and cupholders.

Roxy had no idea that new couches that weren't sunken in, ripped, or smelled like dog were on their way. We decided to save the matching oversized chair and ottoman from the old couch for the time being for her, since we're trying as hard as we can to keep her off the new sectional. Not an easy task...

Saturday was the start of an absolutely beautiful weekend with the sun shining, temps in the upper 70's, and zero humidity. We enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes on the patio, before I went for a nice bike ride.

Then it was time to meet up with Emily and Meg at Seadog Brewing Company for dinner. It was so nice to meet Meg, and hear about her fun races at Disney this weekend. Girlfriend rocked both the 10k and the half marathon!

After dinner, we headed downtown to celebrate our beautiful brave friend who just finished the last of her chemo and radiation treatments. My heart broke for her last year, when she was diagnosed. She was such a fighter with a positive spirit, and is now officially cancer free!

Sunday was another gorgeous day, which was perfect for celebrating a friend's son's 1st birthday. Little man's party was a Dr. Suess theme complete with an inflatable obstacle course and lots of yummy food. And those lake views....
