On Friday, the new sectional arrived and I'm in love with it! So happy to have "upgraded" to recliners and cupholders.
Roxy had no idea that new couches that weren't sunken in, ripped, or smelled like dog were on their way. We decided to save the matching oversized chair and ottoman from the old couch for the time being for her, since we're trying as hard as we can to keep her off the new sectional. Not an easy task...
Saturday was the start of an absolutely beautiful weekend with the sun shining, temps in the upper 70's, and zero humidity. We enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes on the patio, before I went for a nice bike ride. Then it was time to meet up with Emily and Meg at Seadog Brewing Company for dinner. It was so nice to meet Meg, and hear about her fun races at Disney this weekend. Girlfriend rocked both the 10k and the half marathon!
After dinner, we headed downtown to celebrate our beautiful brave friend who just finished the last of her chemo and radiation treatments. My heart broke for her last year, when she was diagnosed. She was such a fighter with a positive spirit, and is now officially cancer free!
Sunday was another gorgeous day, which was perfect for celebrating a friend's son's 1st birthday. Little man's party was a Dr. Suess theme complete with an inflatable obstacle course and lots of yummy food. And those lake views....

It sounds like you had such a good weekend filled with lots of celebrating! Dart pretty much has free roam of the house, so I don't know if we'd ever be able to keep him off of the couch, so I feel your pain! Congrats to your friend for kicking cancer's butt! I can't even imagine going through something as terrible as that. The views from your friends' house are gorgeous, and it looks like y'all had a great time celebrating his first birthday!
ReplyDeleteSend me all of your weekend sunshine!!

I love a sectional, it looks great! Sounds like a fab weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour new sectional is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThe new couch is gorgeous!!! I really love those colors and I hope you find it easy to keep Roxy off. I had a dog whose previous owner allowed him on the couch and it was a process, but we eventually trained him to stay off. One of the things I did was got this natural spray that had Jasmine, cinnamon and something else in it. Apparently dogs don't like it and it worked :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather was so perfect this weekend! And I love your new sectional, I'm so in need of couch cup holders!
ReplyDeleteYour new sectional is fantastic! Sounds like you did a lot of celebrating this weekend! :)

ah, love the new couch! i am kind of worried about getting a new one and trying to keep the cats off it.. they don't scratch it, but their claws automatically make marks when they climb up the back (lol) and it would be way too hard to keep them off it when we weren't home. seriously love your friend's party celebrating the end of her treatments, that is seriously amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy Monday started out better than usual...I went on vacation! haha!
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
