A few weeks ago, I shared a preview of my weekend in Islamorada. I promised I'd come back and share more about the resort and the island.
The drive down was much easier than driving all the way to Key West, and once we arrived at the Guy Harvey Islander Resort and checked in we went to go see our guest villa. The villas all included Guy Harvey artwork throughout, a sitting area, a kitchen, a screened in patio, and lounge chairs outside.
Then it was time to explore the resort, and head down to the beach and pool area for some lounging in the sun.
*Made a friend on the way to the beach*
There were two pools that were both heated for the time of year, one was freshwater and the other was saltwater. The next morning, we had breakfast at the resort before I had to go get set up for the wedding show at the resort. I had been preparing for the show for the past few months, and I was excited to share our brand and network with the destination wedding vendors and brides. The event was gorgeous and a total success! I really enjoyed getting to know some of the vendors and resort representatives in the area.
The event even had an open bar, which was nice considering all the wedding shows I attended while I was planning my wedding had cash bars.
After the event, I realized how hungry I was since I never had lunch and we headed down the road to Wahoos for lunch with a view of the water. Then it was time to head to Lorelei Cabana Bar for the sunset celebration.
Loved this spot which was right on the water with it's own marina. They even had a patio on the water for guests with pets. And their happy hour during the sunset celebration can't be beat. Later we went to check out the Tiki Bar at The Postcard Inn, but it was closed for renovations and will be re-opened in the spring.
The next morning, it was time to check out and say goodbye, but not without a stop for one last meal with a view for breakfast. So of course, we ventured back across the street to Lorelei's which was our favorite spot of the trip. The menu prices are very reasonable, there's live music, and you're right on the water.
