Summer Cocktails

I love that the weather is warming up and all I have on the brain is lazing around the pool or at the beach, and what better way to enjoy such activities than with a cocktail in hand? Today, the amazing Sarah is taking over as I'm exploring Barcelona and most likely powering through a serious case of jet lag (you can follow along on instagram and twitter). Sarah is one of my favorite bloggy friends, and we instantly connected over our shared love for Harry Potter and Sheldon Cooper. Make sure to hop on over and check her out!

HELLLLOOO fashionistas!!

My name is Sarah and I blog over at Silly Incantations. Now if you know anything about me (or Kate for that matter) you know that I LOVE Harry Potter. Then you will also know that my blog name comes from the first Harry Potter book.

BUT MOOOOVING ON.

I am so glad to be here to take over while she is out traveling and having an amazing experience.

So besides Harry Potter, Kate and I also have the love of a good cocktail in common. Now as a 3rd grade teacher, I don't get to partake in drinks a lot, because well....those 9 year olds exhaust me and I am in bed usually when happy hour is still going on, BUT that doesn't take away from my love of a tasty adult beverage.

Today I wanted to share a few favorites that I plan to sip on at the pool and on the patio this summer.

{1} Beergarita

6 fl oz tequila
12 fl oz corona beer
12 fl oz limeade frozen concentrate
12 fl oz sprite or club soda (depending on your desire for sweetness)
1 Tbsp lime juice
Mix all ingredients and serve over ice with a salted rim.

{2} Boozy Strawberry Limeade

1 can (10 oz.) of margarita mixers
1½ cup frozen strawberries
¾ can of water using the margarita mixer can
1-2 shots of rum/tequila

Mix in a blender. (add ice for a more slushy type of drink)

{3} Alcoholic Arnold Palmer

1 part sweet tea vodka
2-3 parts lemonade (I prefer yellow lemonade)

Mix and pour over ice
***now if you can find/do not like sweet tea vodka--just use your favorite tea and plan vodka)

So grab one of those delicious treats and pop over to my space and say hello!
