Homecoming and a Disney Birthday

I'm in the middle of a whirlwind travel season at work (recapped Venice and Panama City here), but am fortunate to be home for a few weeks which also included a very special little girl's fifth birthday. How is my sweet girl FIVE?!

My husband and I squeezed in a quick day date, we celebrated Lil' Miss's birthday at Disney World since we decided to skip a party again this year due to not knowing how many people would be comfortable with attending, and also squeezed in as much fall fun as we could.

Disney Weekending

It was SO nice to catch up with some of fav ladies this weekend to celebrate two birthdays at Disney Springs. It was a day full of rooftop drinks, charcuterie boards, lots of laughs, and the Christmas Tree Trail. Girls days are good for the soul!

And then let's just file this under things I said I would NEVER do as a mom - we officially welcomed an Elf into our home complete with a North Pole breakfast. Lil' Miss was over the moon excited, and had more sugar than she's ever had in one sitting. Meet Sprinkles! She'll be with us until Christmas Eve, and we are officially that family - ha!

An Evening in Provence

Last week, I headed out on a "school night" to venture down to Disney Springs for the first annual Spring Showcase event at L'Occitane for an evening of sipping, tasting, mingling, and pampering with other local bloggers and store owners. I almost didn't go because I was afraid to go by myself and mingle, but I'm so glad I took the plunge and went.

These spicy margaritas were DELISH! I keep saying I need the recipe, but then I stumbled upon on it on the menu board in the below picture. Definitely going to try to recreate them at home - yum!

Such a fun night, I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and met some local bloggers, enjoyed some pampering, and enjoyed the best spicy margarita I've ever had. Yep, still thinking about that. And the macarons.

Baseball Disney Style

Another beautiful spring weekend, and after living in Florida for almost 8 years I can't believe this was my first ever spring training game.

We booked lawn seats so we could spread out a blanket for lil' miss to play, and I was so excited to see we were RIGHT behind the Yankee's bullpen. Watching Chad Green warm up a few feet away = priceless! Now if only it were still the good ol' days, and Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte were out there.....

Next stop was Disney Springs Downtown Disney for lunch with a view. We grabbed a bite, and some drinks at the Hangar Bar before checking out the roof top bar at the Coca Cola store.

I don't even drink soda, but checking out the Coca Cola store was a must-do to walk up the fun ramp and order some adult beverages from the roof top bar. The views of Disney Springs from up there were worth it and of course the fun drinks.

We tried the Cherry Coke Ripper and the Vanilla Russian (without whip) - both were DELISH! You can find their full menu here
