Orange You Glad

I couldn't be happier that the days are getting longer, and we'll have more sunshine in the evenings. Even though we had what I hope is our last chilly front of the season, we spent the weekend working on the house and dining outdoors. On Saturday I threw on my new tank dress, layered it under a jacket and we headed out for some adulting at Home Depot before bringing Lil' Miss to the park to run around.

After a quick stop for iced coffee (always necessary), we stopped at Home Depot to start researching new flooring for our downstairs (the builders grade carpet is something I don't even want to talk about - and they even put in the dining room. Who puts carpet in a dining room?!). We ended up not coming to a final decision on flooring, but did walk out with a new chandelier for said dining room. Look how pretty! It truly has transformed the space, and once the new flooring happens I'll share some fun before and after pics.

I may be a day late, but wanted to wish everyone a very happy International Women's Day! We do it all, don't we? Each day is a whirlwind working full time, spending time with my little fam, making sure a home cooked meal is on the table each night, working out, trying to maintain a social life with friends, and let's not forget this little space which is a fun hobby but also brings in a little extra sometimes. Side hustles are for real, and I encourage everyone to have something they own and are proud of outside of the day to day.

Speaking of working full time, I plan on rocking this blazer dress to the office this week. It'll be perfect for the warmer temps and running to and from meetings. I keep a cardigan at my desk for when the arctic like A/C is too much, but it feels great to slip back into a piece like this after a lunchtime workout or running errands. Comfort is always key.

  7. That chandelier is beautiful! Our house was built ten years ago so our lighting is already a little outdated. We'll probably be looking for some new chandeliers soon!
