Hello February
Now that the 314,890 days of January are over, I wanted to share some of the exciting things going on in our world this past month as well as round up some of my favorites.
I was intrigued by fellow coffee lover Chelsea to pick up a frother for my at-home brews, and it has totally transformed by favorite morning beverage. I feel like I'm at my local coffee shop, but am enjoying my coffee in the comfort of my own home for a small fraction of the price.
Amazon
It's no secret that we all love Amazon Prime, and they have seriously upped their fashion game. Pretty much my whole Christmas wish list was Amazon items, and I can't get over all the affordable options from fashion to stuff for the house to books to pieces for Lil' Miss.
The leopard print obsession continues because after all it is my favorite "neutral", and this top has been perfect for work or play. I sized up for a slouchier fit, and it was perfect.
I've already got beach and pool weather on the brain, and this fab suit provides full coverage and is super comfy. Now, if Florida would just turn the heat back on please and thank you.

Speaking of coffee, sometimes I am too busy to drink it as fast as I'd like. Whether I'm chasing my toddler or helping her finish her breakfast or I'm working from home and get too busy - this mug warmer is a must-have for your home office or kitchen. Psssst it's only $20 and there's a 5% off coupon.
I was excited to receive these reusable straws which have been a game changer at home and while on the go. Of course Lil' Miss loves all the fun colors, and I love that they were only $5.
I'm a self proclaimed germaphob, and wipe down our phones with wipes every time we walk in the door. So when Biana mentioned an LED phone sanitizer I was intrigued. Especially during this rough cold and flu season, you have to be super diligent about washing your hands and the items/surfaces you touch the most while out and about.
Even though I own the movie, any time The Devil Wears Prada is on tv I have to watch it. So, I was excited to read When Life Gives You Lululemons which is from Emily's perspective several years later. I had been in a reading rut, and whipped through this during my Christmas vacation. Highly recommend!
With my never-ending love of bubbles aside, I dove into The Widow Clicquot after finishing the above book for a totally different read. I love all the rich history inside, and have learned SO much about how the Clicquot brand got off the ground and champagne in general.
In the Wild
I'm not a huge Valentine's Day person, but I couldn't resist this heart sweater. Don't forget to use coupon code S1peridot15 to save an extra 15% off any purchase at SheIn now through March 31st.
I'm also obsessed with this beautiful new marble watch and knotted cuff from MVMT. They compliment each other perfectly, and go with all of my looks at the office or at play on the weekends.

Lil' Miss had not one, but 2 birthday parties to go to and was excited to jump on trampolines and into foam pits and make her own mask and cape at a super hero party. And because she is my daughter after all - she was super excited for cake. In my opinion - the best part!
After taking lil' miss to a birthday party earlier in the day, and coming home for her to take a quick nap we headed back out to a local brewery for some local drinks and food. I pulled out the cutest cold shoulder dress from Femme Luxe and we enjoyed ourselves over some beer, wings, and a game of Giant Connect 4.

And of course I need to throw in some more leopard print love, as I still can't get enough of this cardigan which I've been pairing with skirts, dresses, and pants while it's been unusually chilly in the sunshine state. Love multi-purpose pieces!
It took me a while to get on board with the barrette trend, but once I spotted these beauties for only $8 on a Target run I was hooked.
Travel
2019 brought to me some amazing places - a Disney cruise with the fam and some friends that stopped in Mexico, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas, road trips to Boca Raton and Marco Island, and lots of work travel around the world - San Diego, Singapore, Milan, and Rio de Janeiro. (all trip recaps can be found here) It was an incredible year, and I am truly blessed for the amazing opportunities.
I'm not sure what's in store for this year, but we have our 10th wedding anniversary coming up in June (completely blows my mind that it's been TEN years!) and we want to get away just the two of us to celebrate. I had my heart set on a resort in Costa Rica with swim-out rooms set on the beach with a view of the mountains, but then I saw it's their rainy season and the resort was about 2 hours from the airport. I re-set our search, and am looking for all-inclusive beach resorts with a swim out room. I've been checking out the usual spots like Mexico and the Caribbean, but have also been looking at the Canary Islands. If you have any resort recs please send them my way!
