And that's a wrap!

Merry Christmas Eve-Eve! Today is my last day of work until the new year, and I'm very much looking forward to down time and relaxing with my little family and friends. I've felt like my whole life is a giant to-do list lately, and this time to slow down and focus on what truly matters is very needed.

2019 brought a lot of amazing things, and the best part was watching lil' miss grow into a sweet and caring little person. She truly has a big heart, and as much as I want her to stay little I love seeing her bring more goodness into the world. We brought her on her first cruise last spring, had a lot of small staycations around Florida, and she's learning SO much at school.

January

I kicked off the first month of the year with a fun girl's brunch on the lake and of course bottomless mimosas. I mean can you even call it brunch without bottomless bubbles?

I set my goal for the year (I'm not big on "resolutions") for more strength and grace. I wanted to focus on building strength while also giving grace to myself and to others. I feel that I made some headway throughout the year, but can definitely still be way too hard on myself. Hello 2020 - I'm looking at you to improve this even more.

And I attended Sips and Baubles for a Good Cause with some of my favorite Central Florida influencers at our local Kendra Scott store.

February

February was a pretty quiet month for me as I struggled with some anxiety and depression, which I finally opened up more about here. However, I did manage to come out of the darkness for a fun night out with some of my favorite girls to see Michael Bublé (recap found here). We were totally spoiled by a good friend of ours who gave us VIP passes to sit in a suite with unlimited food and drinks, private seating, and a private bathroom. We ended the evening upstairs at the venue's roof top bar with drinks and dancing under the stars.... in February. Another reason I love living in Florida!

March

March was another quiet month as I was still in a dark place at the beginning of the month, and then developed bronchitis that I was fearing was going to turn into pneumonia before I left for a work trip to San Diego. Thankfully, I started to feel better just in time and had a productive trip to Social Media Marketing World out in Cali.

April and May

In late April, we set sail on our Disney Cruise. It was Lil' Miss' first ever cruise and first time out of the country, so of course Mickey and Minnie were on board. We stopped in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Falmouth, and Castaway Cay. We went with another family, and loved making lots of memories including letting my friend talk me into running a 5k at our stop in Castaway Cay, Bahamas. Because who runs a 5k on vacation? Yep, we are crazy!

June

Once we were back on dry land, it was time for summer celebrations at the beach, trips to the park, and a fun day Wekiva Island.

We also enjoyed a staycation at the lazy river

July

We celebrated the 4th of July with friends, and I had a fun tour of the gorgeous Novel Lucerne with some sweet treats.

August

August kicked off birthday month! A celebratory brunch with my girls took us to Park Ave. in Winter Park.

For my birthday weekend, H and I had a day date where we went on the Scenic Boat Tour in Winter Park and the next day we went down to Boca Raton for a celebratory staycation. (Birthday Weekend recap found here)

September

September kicked off our EXPO World Tour at work here in Orlando before heading to Singapore (which was absolutely surreal - if you think I re-watched Crazy Rich Asians on the plane then you would be correct).

October

October was packed full of birthday celebrations (including Lil' Miss turning 3 - where has the time gone?! - her Not So Scary birthday party recap can be found here), a trip to the pumpkin patch, and another work trip. This time we crossed the pond, and went to Milan, Italy.

November

November brought my last work trip of the season, this time to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil which was super exciting since I had never been to South America before.

I also wrote a letter to Santa with my Christmas wish list, and shared my favorites for holiday parties whether you're hosting or attending as a guest.

Then we packed up the car, and drove down to Marco Island to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend as a family. It was exactly what I needed after all the work travel, and we enjoyed every second of soaking up family time in the sunshine.

December

December brought a girls day at Disney Springs to celebrate 2 birthdays, and a North Pole breakfast to welcome our new Elf "Sprinkles" into our home for the season.

I also shared how I'm ringing in the season and my favorite stocking stuffer ideas, and we have been taking lots of trips to check out Christmas lights.

We also had a day date which was a great re-set before Christmas.

We went to a food truck event downtown, and took lil' miss to the boat parade on the lake where all the boats in the marina decorate with Christmas lights and sail by in a parade.

Cheers to 2020!
