Friday Favs

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! How is it already the last one in April?! Spring is flying by, before we know it it'll be summer and everyone will be rushing fall *sigh*. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons by far, and I have lots of favorites from this week leading into the best time of year.
1. Urban Decay has done it again, and I may need to pick up the new Through the Looking Glass palette. Not only is it a gorgeous palette, but check out that amazing packaging! So many great shades that'll take us right through spring and summer into fall.
2. There's also a new OPI nail collection that I'm super excited about, and I can't decide which shade I like best. I may need to pick up the 4 piece mini set to start with.

3. Speaking of nails, yesterday I had a pedicure date with Pamela. It was nice to have some girl time while being pampered, and we both went with a coral color with a hint of sparkle.

4. I think I've found my spring and summer scent in Michael Kors' Coral eau de parfum. I was initially drawn in by the review that just one spritz transports you to a sun-drenched citrus grove in the tropics. Yes please!

5. Loving my recent finds on Pinterest:

Life Lately

Life Lately

I've been very sporadic with posting lately as things have been super busy with work and travel, so I thought it'd be fun to play some catch up.

I'm super excited to finally be off the wait list for Play! by Sephora. Ever since I first heard about their new subscription box service last year I've been wanting those coveted striped boxes to arrive on my doorstep each month. I can't wait for my first one to arrive in May!

I took an impromptu weekend trip to Virginia where I got to check out VA Beach for the first time. Lots of good food was eaten, rounds of mini golf, and checking out a new area.

We also checked out Home Republic that Pamela recommended after spending some time down by the beach with Duck Donuts because warm donuts! It was a cute brewery and wine bar with great food a block away from the beach. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you find yourself in Virginia Beach.

Afterwards, it was time for some mini golf and delicious table-side guacamole at a great Mexican spot. Yum!

After a whirlwind trip, it was back to the grind and relaxing evenings at home. I'm still thoroughly enjoying Lauren Conrad's new party planning book Celebrate, and for those of you who haven't scooped it up yet there's a 10% off cartwheel for it this week at Target. You're welcome!

Spring Weekend Essentials

Spring Weekend Essentials

Back in college the term "spring weekend" meant a long weekend of campus festivities including dorm olympics, epic parties, and a surprise concert (still excited that I was front row for Fabolous and he touched my hand). Now "spring weekend" just means any weekend during the spring season where I stock up on the season's must haves or pack for a quick getaway.
Spring Weekend Essentials

1. My Sephora goodies arrived from the VIB Sale, and I couldn't be happier to have my replenished my favorite baked blush and even my hair is excited over my new dry shampoo and Hot Toddy heat and UV protectant.
2. Even though I picked up 2 for $24 Bath and Body Works candles last weekend, I'm a little too excited to pick up some more fresh spring and summer scents since they're having another sale on their 3 wick candles now through the 24th. Don't walk... run!
3. How cute is this fedora? Perfect for all the upcoming outdoor time! I never used to think I could pull off hats, but lately I've been obsessed especially with fedoras.
4. Another obsession this season are pretty stackable rings, especially pretty bar rings like this Rebecca Minkoff one.
5. As if we all haven't gushed about the off the shoulder trend that has blown up this year, I still can't get enough. This tribal mini dress has been on my radar for a few weeks now, and I think it's time to pull the trigger!

Coffee Days Champagne Nights

Coffee Days Champagne Nights

Two of my biggest obsessions are coffee and champagne which is no secret. So, I definitely had to scoop up this graphic tee when I saw it at Express over the weekend. It's cozy and airy and was perfect for Sunday brunch.

Just Another Manic Monday....

Just Another Manic Monday....

Here we are again Monday, let's do this!
On Friday Eve, I surprised my work fav with her favorite iced coffee which she especially enjoyed since she was running a little late that morning. Nothing a little coffee can't fix right?

On Friday I got ready to go to a friend's makeup party, but made sure to get a surprise gift together for my friend who re-designed my blog recently. She did such an amazing job, and I still can't get over how much I love the new look and responsive design. If you're looking for a blog overhaul for either Blogger or WordPress, she's a total pro and you can check out her work here.

*Of course I put in an order for the infamous Younique mascara*

Saturday, I met up with friends at the first ever Florida Cheese Festival in a quaint historical downtown area.

We sampled lots of cheese and dealt with some long lines, but it was a lot fun trying out a new spot for a festival. I even bumped into Pamela which was too funny since we share an obsession for all things cheese!

Afterwards we grabbed some lunch at a cute spot called The Brickhouse Grill where I had an amazing sandwich comprised of turkey, apple slices, bacon, and gouda because more cheese.

Then it was time for some retail therapy to hit up the sales at Express and Bath and Body Works. Express had a sale for 30% off all dresses, so I picked up a new dress and two new tops while also using my coupon that comes in the mail of course. Bath and Body Works 3 wick candles were all 2 for $24, so I scooped up two candles while also using my 20% off coupon and a coupon for a free body wash. Double win!

On Sunday, I met a friend for a yummy brunch before spending the rest of the day relaxing and getting caught up for the impending work week. But not without stopping in on the cutest macaron shop, it took everything in me not to walk out of there with a huge box of goodies!

Wanderlust Wednesday ~ Bermuda Cruise Excursions

Wanderlust Wednesday ~ Bermuda Cruise Excursions

With my upcoming cruise to Bermuda, I've been thinking about shore excursions and what I'd like to do while docked there for a few days.

Sometimes we just explore the island or hang out at the resort when staying at an all-inclusive, but we've also done a lot of fun excursions all of which I'd highly recommend. I've gone zip-lining in Honduras, snorkeling in the South Pacific, USVI and Aruba, climbed Dunns River Falls, shot down the waterslides at Atlantis in the Bahamas, rode ATV's in Cancun, went river tubing in Dominica, hiked to waterfalls in Fiji, and went parasailing in Key West. So, it's been hard to narrow down what I'd like to experience in Bermuda.

These are the excursions that I'm considering, let me know which one(s) you'd pick:

Catamaran Coral Reef Snorkel - step aboard a catamaran for a trip to the northernmost coral reef in the world. Then you'll receive instruction before snorkeling the undersea paradise.
Crystal Caves Discovery - a guided exploration of Crystal Caves, the most famous of Bermuda's subterranean caverns.
Horseshoe Bay Beach - this world famous beach features crystal blue water and pink sand, definitely a must see while on the island. Because pink sand!
Bonfire on the Beach - an evening spent along Bermuda's coastline complete with live music from a DJ, roasting marshmallows, and complimentary cocktails. I love that the ship will be docked overnight to experience fun nighttime activities.
Bermuda Triangle Nightlife Glass Bottom Cruise - a sunset cruise aboard a glass bottom boat while enjoying the illumination of the floor-lit ocean floor that reveals treasures of the deep.
