It's the little things....

One of my favorite things on Christmas morning is coming downstairs to see the stockings full of fun goodies hanging by the fireplace.

Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide
Rollerball - "Live Colorfully" by Kate Spade | Mascara - Maybelline | Lipstick - Burt's Bees | Bath Bomb - LUSH | Nail Polish - "Party on a Platform" by Essie | Candle - Bath and Body Works | Baked Highlighter - E.L.F.

I'm always so excited to see what fun treats are inside my stocking on Christmas morning, and both my mom (yes she still sends me a Christmas stocking with our gifts - isn't she fabulous?) and my husband are great at finding the perfect items to wrap in "Santa paper" aside from holiday candy.

Rollerballs are a great stocking stuffer, since they're a lower price point than the full perfume bottle and can be kept in your purse for an on the go re-fresh. No surprise here, that I love Kate Spade's Live Colorfully. It even looks festive!

A bold lip is always a good idea, especially around the holidays. I can't get enough of Burt's Bees' new lipsticks which can be found at Target or Macys for only $9 each. The best part is they are 100% natural and provide 8 hours of moisture in the winter dry air.

I have a makeup drawer full of beautiful highlighters, but you can't beat the price of E.L.F.'s baked highlighter that you can pick up at Target. It's so shimmery and beautiful, and surprisingly pigmented for a long lasting affect. While in the makeup aisle at Target or Ulta, you can also pick up my drugstore holy grail mascara. Other than Benefit's They're Real! this is hands down my favorite mascara, as it provides the best length, volume, and long lasting power.

Bath and Body Works has the most amazing 3-wick candles, and their holiday scents have me saying "Yankee Candle who?" Only found during the holiday season, Champagne Toast will bring you right through NYE with hints of glittering champagne, wild berries, and tangerine zest.

Essie nail polishes and LUSH bath bombs are the perfect pampering gifts for an at home spa night. Light your Champagne Toast candle, and pour yourself a glass of wine or the whole bottle and relax.

And who doesn't like the gift of coffee? Daily Starbucks runs are not cheap, but it is fun to treat yourself especially with all their delicious holiday drinks. A gift card peeking out of the top of your stocking is a nice finishing touch.

What are some of your favorite small treats found in your stocking on Christmas morning?

Christmas Party Weekending

And just like that, the first weekend of December and our annual Christmas partyhas already come and gone.

I had meant to take advantage of the 50% off sale at Ulta for the UD Naked Smoky palette for gifts, and was so busy preparing for the party I dropped the ball. Butttttt I did end up scoring big at Bath and Body Works during their once a year sale on three wick candles. For one day only, they were $8.50 each, plus I used a $15 off $40 coupon to save even more.

Every year, I spend weeks getting ready for our annual Christmas party between planning the menu, the decor, the invites, cleaning, and setting up it's a work in progress. But it never ceases to amaze me how quickly the big night comes and goes. Always a great time with friends over food, drinks, and lots of laughs.

I was a bad blogger, and didn't take many pics except in the beginning of the food and drink displays.

*Even baby girl was festive and ready to party*

*This year I forwent the punch bowl of eggnog, and made a champagne punch and a holiday sangria*

*Camera set up for the photo booth*

*The white elephant gift swap is always a riot*

Spring Weekends I Love You

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day Weekend celebrating the amazing women in our lives, and to all the beautiful mommas out there I hope you were spoiled to pieces!
On Friday, I took Miss Roxy to the vet for her annual check up before some retail therapy where I picked up some new wedges at Macy's, a new Clarisonic replacement brush, and some 2 for $24 candles at Bath and Body Works. I also picked up the new Watermelon Lemonade lotion (which was on sale for only $6!) that everyone's raving about and it's definitely worth the hype!

Wedges - Tommy Hilfiger

Saturday was a fun-filled day starting off at the lazy river at the JW Marriott which happens to be one of my favorite spots in Orlando to spend the day. I'll be talking more about the J-Dub on Wednesday for our Wanderlust Wednesday link up.

Then it was time for a yummy dinner with Emily before meeting a friend to do some over-due blog pictures from my Express haul a few weeks ago. Stay tuned for some of my favorite new pieces!

Sunday was a much needed relaxing day with a 6 mile bike ride before some pool time and housework to get ready for the impending work week.

Spring Weekend Essentials

Back in college the term "spring weekend" meant a long weekend of campus festivities including dorm olympics, epic parties, and a surprise concert (still excited that I was front row for Fabolous and he touched my hand). Now "spring weekend" just means any weekend during the spring season where I stock up on the season's must haves or pack for a quick getaway.
Spring Weekend Essentials

1. My Sephora goodies arrived from the VIB Sale, and I couldn't be happier to have my replenished my favorite baked blush and even my hair is excited over my new dry shampoo and Hot Toddy heat and UV protectant.
2. Even though I picked up 2 for $24 Bath and Body Works candles last weekend, I'm a little too excited to pick up some more fresh spring and summer scents since they're having another sale on their 3 wick candles now through the 24th. Don't walk... run!
3. How cute is this fedora? Perfect for all the upcoming outdoor time! I never used to think I could pull off hats, but lately I've been obsessed especially with fedoras.
4. Another obsession this season are pretty stackable rings, especially pretty bar rings like this Rebecca Minkoff one.
5. As if we all haven't gushed about the off the shoulder trend that has blown up this year, I still can't get enough. This tribal mini dress has been on my radar for a few weeks now, and I think it's time to pull the trigger!

Just Another Manic Monday....

Here we are again Monday, let's do this!
On Friday Eve, I surprised my work fav with her favorite iced coffee which she especially enjoyed since she was running a little late that morning. Nothing a little coffee can't fix right?

On Friday I got ready to go to a friend's makeup party, but made sure to get a surprise gift together for my friend who re-designed my blog recently. She did such an amazing job, and I still can't get over how much I love the new look and responsive design. If you're looking for a blog overhaul for either Blogger or WordPress, she's a total pro and you can check out her work here.

*Of course I put in an order for the infamous Younique mascara*

Saturday, I met up with friends at the first ever Florida Cheese Festival in a quaint historical downtown area.

We sampled lots of cheese and dealt with some long lines, but it was a lot fun trying out a new spot for a festival. I even bumped into Pamela which was too funny since we share an obsession for all things cheese!

Afterwards we grabbed some lunch at a cute spot called The Brickhouse Grill where I had an amazing sandwich comprised of turkey, apple slices, bacon, and gouda because more cheese.

Then it was time for some retail therapy to hit up the sales at Express and Bath and Body Works. Express had a sale for 30% off all dresses, so I picked up a new dress and two new tops while also using my coupon that comes in the mail of course. Bath and Body Works 3 wick candles were all 2 for $24, so I scooped up two candles while also using my 20% off coupon and a coupon for a free body wash. Double win!

Dress in Celestial Blue | Graphic Tee {similar} | Embellished Cami

On Sunday, I met a friend for a yummy brunch before spending the rest of the day relaxing and getting caught up for the impending work week. But not without stopping in on the cutest macaron shop, it took everything in me not to walk out of there with a huge box of goodies!
