Ciao Bella!

Ciao Bella!

It's been a while since I showed up here hasn't it? I returned from a work trip to Milan last week, celebrated lil' miss' birthday (how is my baby THREE?!), and have also been trying to combat a sinus infection that most of us seemed to have brought back from Italy as a souvenir before we head into our last international trip for the season next week. Any guesses where I'm off to next? I'll give you a hint - it's a new continent and it'll be warmer than it was in Milan.

I was in awe as we were descending into Italy over the Alps - the mountains are just breathtaking and pictures from the plane do not do it justice... at all!

I was sad however that my layover in Amsterdam wasn't long enough to leave the airport and explore. So, I faked it by enjoying the glossy tulips and touristy souvenirs around the airport.

I like to call this look "fresh off the plane chic". No really - after over 12 hours of (overnight) travel where I barely dozed off, we had about an hour drive to the hotel from the airport, I checked in, dropped off my bags, and headed to dinner at the Navigli Canal because we were all hangry. Exhausted and hungry is never a good combination! But we were about to make up for it with real pizza and gelato!

The next day, I headed over to the convention center to start collecting content and have a meeting with some co-workers from our European team. Then a few of us headed out to the Milan City Centre to collect content for social media and recap videos of where we were so we weren't just posting from the venue. Not too shabby if you ask me! Pulling up to the Duomo Cathedral was a surreal moment to say the least.

Collapsing with wet hair for the night calls for messy buns the next day. This is real life - I wore what was most comfortable to site see and didn't have time to do Insta-worthy hair and makeup. But you know what... I think I enjoyed the experience even more without worrying about the not-so-important stuff.

*The food oh the food - it truly is THAT good in Italy*

That evening, it was time to get dressed up for the Gala. This is my favorite event of the weekend, as it's not as rushed and I'm not running around as stressed. And did I mention the gorgeous details that go into this dinner? Hello animal print - you are my favorite neutral.

*Terrible lighting - but the setting for the gala was gorgeous*

What's in my Suitcase

What's in my Suitcase

I'm in the middle of packing for my next work trip, and I always say the most important thing to remember is your passport. Anything else can be purchased along the way, but you're not getting anywhere without your passport. The next items I'll be packing are some cozy pieces from SheIn which I've been pairing with skirts and shorts here at home, but will pair with leggings and jeans during the trip.

A few weeks ago, my travels brought me to Singapore (full recap here). This time I'm heading in the other direction - any good guesses where? Another hint is - I can pack these fun sweaters, as they're currently experiencing fall temps.

Top {Only $19} | Skirt {similar} | Necklace | Sunglasses | Lipstick

Although, it's been way too warm in the sunshine state still for sweaters - I've found them to be the perfect cozy pieces first thing in the morning while relaxing with my morning coffee on the weekends or on days I work from home. This frayed star sweater is too fun not to throw into my suitcase! I'm thinking of styling it with some jeans and ankle booties for the crisp weather.
