Are You Ready to Party?

Are You Ready to Party?

Just like yesterday's post - the title today is a quote straight from Friends. I know, I just can't help myself. But 'tis the season for all the fun get togethers, food, drinks, and of course all the sequins!

Whether you're the hostess with the mostess or a guest at the annual family gathering or holiday party, a fab outfit in festive colors or covered in sequins is a must. I mean when else is it appropriate to wear that many sequins unless it's a dance recital? Exactly - do it up! I've had a pair of sequin leggings for years, and I love breaking them out every December especially for NYE. This pair is currently 50% off, and so is this amazing jumpsuit. I'm also obsessed with these velvet pants which look oh so soft, and are less than $15. I've been rocking these blue heels to work lately, but they will also add that extra pop to any holiday party look. Finish the look off with a sparkly clutch, and don't forget a hostess gift!

This candle is always a hit and smells just like Christmas, and how cute is this ornament? And if you love to bake all the holiday goodies, this apron is perfect and combines my 3 favs of the season - eat, drink, and be merry! A festive drink tumbler or candle holders are loved by all, and how darling is this mailbox "for Santa"?

If you're the one inviting family and friends over, you can set the table with this gorgeous yet affordable flatware set, and serve the bubbly in these flutes. Get your famous charcuterie board ready with this board and markers set, and stamp your goodies on the dessert table with snowflakes from this rolling pin. Everyone will gather around the Christmas tree, and this is the first year we didn't go pick a fresh one (cue the tears). We caved, and ordered an artificial tree for the first time. It was a hard decision, but once this guy arrived and I fluffed out the branches I'm actually quite happy with it. It'll take the pressure off of needing a new tree every single year which we can still do when we want to bring back the tradition.

As for Christmas morning, I can't wait to wake up and spend the day cozied up in our matching pajama pants. Yep - we are officially THAT family. Ha! They're available in mens, womens, kids, and toddler sizes.

They Don't Know We Know They Know We Know

They Don't Know We Know They Know We Know

It's the coziest time of year, and that calls for hot beverages, time spent by the fire pit, and warm pieces like this fun graphic pullover from SheIn about my all time favorite show. I bet you're saying that phrase in your head right about now. Could it BE anymore funny?

Graphic Pullover {Only $12 and comes in 4 colors} | Sequin Leggings | Sunglasses | Boots

As the nights have gotten chillier, we've been enjoying more evenings by the fire pit listening to music and having drinks after lil' miss goes to bed. This calls for comfy sweaters and leggings, and I even broke out the bottle of pistachio liqueur I brought back from Milan last month. All I have to say is YUM!

I loved this sweater dress so much, I scooped it up in 2 colors. I thought the orange sweater dress was perfect for fall and for Thanksgiving. It's warm, cozy, and can be worn over leggings. Because Thanksgiving calls for stretchy pants! For this color version of the dress, I paired it with a gray bralette and OTK boots to wear it as a dress instead of as a tunic as I did above with the gray sweater dress

Writing a Letter to Santa

Writing a Letter to Santa

Is it really that time of year already? Family and friends have started asking us to round up our wish lists for Santa, and I thought I'd share a few of my favorites because I have a feeling a lot of you will want to add them to your lists too. The whole list runs from $9 up to $200 for the rose gold spinner luggage set. With all the travel I've been doing for work, a new set was one of the first things I added to the list, along with a push pin travel map to show where I've been and where I'd like to go next.

I've been loving my ruched tank dress from Nordstrom which layers great under jackets in the colder months, but also want to try out this dupe for only $23. I'd pair it with these earrings and these leopard ankle booties

As much as I love to travel, I also LOVE cozying up at home by the fire pit or binging Netflix. I'm in desperate need of a new pair of slippers and I'm also eyeing these jogger sweatpants in my favorite neutral. A fun place to hang my numerous coffee mugs is also a good idea, so I've been swooning over this sign and holder for an at-home coffee bar. It'll be time to drink cups of said coffee (or adult beverages in this tumbler which is only $9) while curling up with a book about one of my other favorite beverages - The Widow Clicquot - my go-to celebration bottle of bubbles. It's available for your Kindle, as a paperbook, or hardcover. If you're like me, and still like turning the pages of a physical book - I suggest the hardcover which will also work as a coffee table book after you're finished with it.

I didn't have the best luck the first time around ordering these jeans because they run SUPER small. So, I've thrown them on my Christmas wish list but am sizing up several sizes. Just ignore the size on these, and rock em' with your favorite weekend look. They'd look AMAZING with these heels which will be made more comfortable for all-day wear after a good stretch in this shoe stretcher for only $14.

I have never been able to perfect waves in my hair, but one of my co-workers raved about this 3 barrel hair waver for less than $25 which of course I need to try out! Speaking of work - I need a good tote that will fit my lap top as I'm tired of carrying around a purse and a lap top bag every day especially through airports and convention centers. This tote will be the perfect remedy and is such a pretty color, and is on major sale.

Hello Rio

Hello Rio

And that's a wrap! The EXPO World Tour at work brought me to 4 continents in a month and a half. WOOF! It was surreal, amazing, and exhausting. I feel incredibly blessed, but SO happy to be home for good now. I'd like to thank my husband for being a total rock star and holding down the fort at home with lil' miss each time I had to leave for several days especially seeing how when I got back I was jet lagged and catching up on sleep for a while.

Social media may make it look glamorous because isn't globe trotting fun?! But what you don't see are the tears streaming down my face on the way to the airport because I just left my little girl or the numerous flight delays, the super long (and stressful) days because helloooo I was there for work after all, or the bags under my eyes because I didn't get much sleep. That's the real side of the past few months. I'm blessed beyond words for these opportunities, and above all I LOVE what I do which is truly the greatest gift. If anyone wants a peak into what I was doing on all these trips I can send you the Instagram handle to check it out, as I was there covering the events for social media.

We kicked off the world tour here in Orlando, then headed to Singapore, Milan, and our last stop was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As gorgeous as Rio is - unfortunately it was raining almost the entire time I was there. I barely caught a glimpse of all the amazing mountains that encase the city. And the site seeing I was able to do on our last day was done entirely in the rain.

After being delayed and heading home for the evening and trying again the next day, I finally arrived in beautiful Rio de Janeiro before the sunrise. I was thankful to be able to check in and crash at the hotel and take a shower before heading over to the venue that afternoon to collect content and then get ready for the gala that evening.

The only break in the clouds the whole time I was there was during the outdoor workout one morning. I'm glad they were able to host it outside on the terrace as planned, but man it made it hot and humid!

We took the cable car up to Sugarloaf Mountain even though it was raining and we wouldn't be able to see much. It was still a neat experience to go up there and walk around, and we did catch a few glimpses of the sites below when the clouds broke up a little.

*Ready to take the train up the mountain to one of the 7 wonders of the world*

THERE HE IS!!!

Even though He was covered in clouds, and we couldn't take in the amazing views of the city and beaches below I was emotional as I walked up to the statue. Words can't describe how it felt to be in the presence of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Pictures don't do it justice! In person, we were able to make out the detail of the statue including His face.

After racing back to the hotel to grab my luggage and check out, it was time to head to the airport. One last yummy meal in Brazil (with bubbles of course) before boarding the plane to home sweet home.

Oh So Cozy

Oh So Cozy

The temps have started cooling off here in the sunshine state, so I've been pulling out the cozier pieces in my closet like my faux leather leggings and this fun new waterfall vest from SheIn. I packed some of these pieces on recent work trips, and know they'll keep me warm as the chillier weather moves in.

Vest {Only $16} | Top | Heels | Sunglasses | Faux Leather Leggings

And oh wait - what is that? It's the return of the mirror selfie! Please excuse the bare feet, we leave all our shoes in the mudroom since we have a toddler who plays and rolls all over the floor (and of course picks up the occasional dropped piece of food and eats it). Now that I've had my eyes opened to what could be lurking on the bottom of our shoes I can't believe I ever used to walk through the house with them on.

But let's talk about this poncho! It's been so long since I rocked a poncho, and I fell in love with the fun detailing of this one. Especially those buttons! I paired it with a skirt for now, but will also layer it over jeans or leggings in the colder weather.

Poncho {Only $17} | Skirt {50% off} | Bracelet | Lipstick

Another favorite cozy piece for fall and winter is this sweater that I wore while in Milan (recap found here) on the first night for dinner on the Navigli Canal. I styled it over a dress with sneakers in Italy, but also love the look of it with some distressed denim. Super affordable, cozy, and available with Amazon Prime shipping. Huge win!

Fun Fit Friday

Fun Fit Friday

Cheers to Friday! It's been a while since I showed up here three times in one week, but I am excited to kick off the weekend with a great workout. I try to never make an excuse to skip my workout on Mondays or Fridays which is SO easy to do. Life happens sometimes, but I usually try my best to stay on track. If it means squishing in a quick workout dvd at home or heading to my favorite barre studio for a lunch break sweat session I try to make it work. It makes those happy hour glasses of wine or margaritas so much more worth it! Plus fun workout clothes like these mesh workout leggings help me stay even more motivated!
