Blush Please

Blush Please

Target does it again! I mean... don't they always? I've been living in the white cut offs (styled here) and the crochet medium wash (styled here and here), and now these blush beauties caught my eye so of course I scooped them up. They are by far the most comfortable pair yet, and I love the subtle pop of color that'll carry me through the next few months because Florida does fall when up north is hiding from old man winter - zero complaints here.

Night Out in Orlando

Night Out in Orlando

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of a good time, and when you get all your friends together for a big birthday or bachelorette party a limo or party bus is the best way to celebrate. And with all the local breweries popping up in Orlando, it's time to rally the troops for a micro brewery crawl. An onboard bar, fun lighting, a playlist mixed by yours truly, and sometimes even the surprise of a pole guarantee a night to remember.

Orlando Brewery Tour

The Orlando area is home to several fantastic breweries that offer a fantastic experience for beer lovers looking for an adventure. Brewery tours can offer a glimpse into the process behind one of your favorite beverages, plus it's always a great idea to support small businesses in your area! Not to mention, brewing companies often have fantastic food items to go along with their diverse beer selection, so it's easy to spend an entire night sampling all they have to offer.

We're here with the top choices for your beer tour itinerary as well as a suggestion for making it as safe and convenient as possible as far as transportation is concerned. In the end, you'll be completely knowledgeable about preparing a fantastic beer tour in the area.

Dead Lizard Brewing Company
Dead Lizard is a micro brewery in Orlando with an open air atmosphere and unique drink options like Key Lime Creamsicle ale! There's a variety of light and dark ales to consider if you're more of a purist,  highlighted by an especially affordable flight. As far an entertainment goes, they host events like chili cook offs, there are board games for groups to enjoy, as well as merchandise for sale like apparel and artwork.

Orlando Brewing
This is usually the most popular option because it's found right in the middle of downtown Orlando! Plus, they serve organic beer, so you can feel good about indulging here. There's live music on the weekends, yoga classes, and an overall comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the doors. The Old Pelican variety is an especially popular brew, so be sure to get a pint while you're here.

Ten10 Brewing Company
This local brewery has a modern feel and consistent customer service with house made craft beers to choose from. Their menu of bar snacks and sandwiches pair perfectly with their specialty brews like their Mango IPA. The cinnamon sugar pretzel is an especially sinful indulgence! There are also some wine choices to choose from if there's somebody in your group who isn't big on brews.

The addition of a party bus or limousine is the best way to ensure your brewery tour is one to remember for all of the right reasons. Since alcohol will be involved, it's a good idea to take the initiative to reserve professional transportation. The first impulse is to go with a ride share service, but party buses and limousines offer a much better experience for around the same price when it's split among the group. Plus, you wont be limited to the closest breweries...you'll be able to hop from one spot to the next with ease when a chauffeur is along for the ride.

With fantastic stereo systems that offer streaming abilities, spacious interiors for socializing and television screens, it's easy to see why you'll benefit from the addition of a Party Bus Company in Orlando. Both yourself and your group of friends will be glad that you took this step to prepare for your night out!

Now and Later

Now and Later

Cheers to Friday! How we've already made it to the last one in August, I just can't wrap my head around. The kiddos are heading back to school, and the days are getting shorter. I'm looking forward to slightly cooler temperatures while remaining warm, because nothing beats weekend pool time and dining al fresco. I live in dresses most of the year, and I'm all about the versatile tank dress options at Zaful. These fun dresses can be easily layered for both warm and cooler weather looks.

I'd pair this drawstring striped dress with a lightweight olive jacket for cooler temps.

This dress is perfect for the summer heat, and paired with my moto jacket will take me right through fall too.

Gimme all the dark florals! Love this dress by itself or under a denim jacket.

This dress is perfect for the office, and you can throw a cardigan over it if you're feeling chilly.

Saturday Please Stay

If only that could come true or at least partly true so that our weekends didn't fly by in the blink of an eye. One of my friends gave me this fun tee for my birthday, and it's officially my new weekend uniform along with any graphic tee talking about brunch or champagne of course.

Well hello Mun-day and solar eclipse day! Coming off of birthday week, and a long weekend today deserves another one of these.....

Long weekends, even if it's just one extra day are so good for the soul. I took Friday off, and headed to the beach for the day. Daytime cocktails, sun, surf, sand, and fried food? Yes please! I feel so refreshed and ready to take on the week ahead.

And how fun is this tee one of my friends gave me for my birthday? If only it could come true! More details coming in Wednesday's post.

Smooth and Polished

Smooth and Polished

Well hello birthday-eve! I'm excited to continue the celebrations this week, and will be starting tomorrow with my free birthday drink at Starbucks and then treating myself to a Benefit Brow Bar appointment at lunch. Speaking of treating myself, it's not so often that I can get to the blow dry bar for the perfect blow out so I'm loving my new goodies from HSI Professional. Living in Florida, the humidity and all the swimming in chlorinated pools can take a toll on my hair. I struggle with both frizzy hair after our afternoon thunderstorms, and also dry and damaged hair in-between trips to the salon.

Glider Ceramic Flat Iron | Argan Oil Smoothing Hair Mask | Round 2" Brush | Round 2 1/2" Brush

I start with the Argan Oil Hydrating Smoothing Mask which restores my hair's natural elasticity, and smooths and tames it with argan butter, argan oil, and vitamins. I then use a hair dryer and a round brush to achieve a finished look, while finishing it off with the ceramic flat iron.

I had been on the hunt for a good hair mask, and couldn't be happier with the Argan Oil Hair Mask that is highly concentrated that infuses protein back into dry and damaged strands. It's made without parabens, phosphates, or sulfates, and is color safe - win win!

Pop Fizz Clink

Pop Fizz Clink

Well hello there birthday week! After a weekend spent in the pool, and brunch which is always a good idea I'm reaching for an extra large iced coffee to soothe those Monday blues today. You know it was a great weekend, when it wasn't documented very well. I thoroughly enjoyed living in the moment.
We puppy sat for our favorite neighborhood duggy on Friday, and enjoyed a cozy movie night before the fun in the sun on Saturday. On Sunday, my friends organized a birthday brunch where we ate, popped, fizzed, and clanked our bottomless mimosas and bellinis while Serena enjoyed being the bell of the ball.

Summer Sun Recovery Mode

Summer Sun Recovery Mode

Growing up, I was the model citizen for everything you shouldn't do when it comes to enjoying Mr. Sun. I just wanted that golden glow as quickly as possible, and would lay out without sunscreen, use baby oil, and even *gasp* fake n' bake. After some bad sunburns, trips to the Caribbean with zero sunscreen application (which makes me cringe now), a biopsy at the dermatologist, and just plain ol' growing up and coming to my senses I realized how important it was to practice safe sun.

Even though in blog world, it looks like summer is over MAC knows what's up and that it's still in fact summer. Most of us are still spending our weekends by the pool or at the beach, and with that our skin needs some recovery love.

I never knew sunburnt lips could hurt so bad, and be a peeling mess until my Southern Caribbean cruise back in 2009. I now make sure to slather on plenty of chapstick with SPF in it, but if I still end up burning that sensitive area on my face MAC's lip conditioner is the perfect antidote.

When I've been kissed by the sun just enough without any damage, I like to slather on Moroccan Oil's After Sun Milk which enhances my glow. Plus I love how the first ingredient is water!

The combination of mineralized water plus in MAC's Charged Water instantly rehydrates while also adding radiance. A healthy summer glow!

Speaking of beauty products, I want to introduce you to Sara. She just started a beauty and lifestyle blog, and not only is she the brilliance behind my beautiful hair for my baby shower last summer, but she's also my brother's amazing girlfriend.  Hop on over and say hello!

Going with the Flow

Going with the Flow

I live in dresses throughout the year, but in the heat of a Florida summer they're a necessity. My favorites are strappy flowy pieces that create a good airflow. I spotted this dress at Kohls last week, and loved the fun strappy details and the tiered trapeze hemline.
