Short Week Favs

Short Week Favs

Can we talk about how great it was to have a short week? Those 3 day weekends sure are refreshing, and need to happen more often.

Favorite Drink - as much as I go to Starbucks, I can't believe I had never tried their blonde roast. So, I decided to try it out this week, and it was nice and light (less bitter) than their regular blend.
Favorite Mail - my Studio Fix came in, and I've been reunited and it feels soooo good! I can't believe I ever parted ways with this beauty staple.
Favorite Purchase - tickets to see Zedd in October. After seeing Kaskade put on an incredible show at Sunfest a few weeks ago, I've been excited to see my next DJ. I saw a ton of DJ's live in college, back when they toured clubs instead of selling out arenas and music festivals - Jonathan Peters, DJ Skribble, Louie DeVito, DJ Sammy, Ian Van Dahl, etc.. the good ol' days!
Favorite Workout - I made my long awaited return to Barre3 this week and it burned so good. I have muscles that are still burning that I forgot existed. Can't wait to join the June Barre3 challenge.

Stylish Comfort

Stylish Comfort

When I'm getting ready for fancy events, I usually pick out a pair of my flashiest heels and know that I'm getting ready to settle in to a long evening of feeling uncomfortable. My feet either don't have enough support or even worse - feel gross inside of my heels since there's nothing between my bare feet and the shoe itself.

Needless to say I was excited when Kushyfoot reached out to me and asked if I wanted to test out some of their products for the blog. I was sent several different cover options ranging from peep toe heels, high heels, flats, sneakers, sling backs, and even flats-to-go. My favorites are the peep toe foot covers which allows me to wear my favorite peep toe heels while staying dry and comfortable and still being to show off my latest pedicure.
I also loved the soles designed with a massaging sensation to not only keep your feet fresh and dry inside your favorite heels, but also to keep them pain free if you're on your feet for a while.

Are uncomfortable feet stopping you from wearing your favorite shoes?

Summer Obsession - Open Back Dresses

Summer Obsession - Open Back Dresses

This summer's obsession is definitely open back dresses. They're simply flawless and dramatic, and in my opinion it's so much sexier to show off your back than your front. Such a breezy look to stay comfortable during my favorite time of year. Perfect for brunch with friends on the weekend or fancy events and summer weddings.

What's your summer-look obsession this year?

Holiday Weekending in Boca Raton

Holiday Weekending in Boca Raton

**The Recipe Swap Tuesday link-up would have been live today, but due to the holiday weekend we are taking another week off and will be returning next Tuesday to re-start our bi-weekly schedule**

Happy Tuesday! I love it when Tuesday is the start to the week instead of Mun-day. That one extra day is so refreshing isn't it? My long holiday weekend can be summed up in a few words... sun, friends, and fun.
Friends of ours booked a beach condo down in Boca Raton for the week and invited a bunch of us down to spend the holiday weekend with them. It was such a great time between the beautiful blue water at the beach, to fun in the pool, grilling out under the stars, and a boat day all day Sunday through the intracoastal waterway.
Got in on Saturday afternoon, and immediately hit up the beach before heading back to the pool and having some dinner and walking down to a beach bar to end the evening.

Sunday was boat day! We took the boat up and down the intracoastal waterway from Boca to Ft. Lauderdale, with stops at Lake Boca Raton and Lighthouse Point before pulling up for lunch at Kaluz. I've eaten at restaurants before where boats pull up, but I've never been in one of the boats that pulls up so that was a neat experience!

That evening, we grilled a bunch of steaks and corn on the cob and enjoyed dinner under the stars while cheers-ing to a beautiful fun weekend with friends.
Monday, we all had breakfast together before hitting the road to head back home. My mom sent me pictures of my brother marching in the Memorial Day Parade up in CT which always brings a tear to my eye. So proud of my "little" brother.
Monday was also H's birthday so since we partied all weekend with friends down at the beach we had a low-key dinner at Rock and Brews which is a cute dog-friendly bar and restaurant with music themed food and drinks. I decided to give my liver one last beating before closing the book on an amazing weekend by cheers-ing the birthday boy.
