Siesta Key Beach Weekend

Siesta Key Beach Weekend

How do you simply recap a fun weekend away with family and good friends? A group of us rented out a few beach suites at The Ringling Beach House which was perfect for our little families over Mother's Day Weekend.

We stayed in the Elephant suite equipped with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, living room, patio, and they even gave us a welcome basket full of beach toys, snacks, sunscreen, and provided beach towels.

When traveling with kiddos, you spend the day at the beach, poolside while they miraculously all napped at the same time, and then go out at night after dinner. The guys went out the 1st night, and for girls night the 2nd night we went to a roof top bar at the Westin Sarasota which was a quick Uber ride over the bridge, and on the last night we all went to dinner and out for ice cream.

Ruffled Pattern Mixing

Ruffled Pattern Mixing

I can't get enough pattern mixing especially with a pop of color. I couldn't resist this tee that combined three of my favs - stripes, gingham, and ruffles. It can also be dressed up or down with a casual pair of denim shorts for a weekend look or I plan on pairing it with my bright green pencil skirt for a fun 9-5 look.

Ruffled Inspiration

Ruffled Inspiration

Inspiration is all around us, and a few weeks back I saw one of my co-workers wearing a cozy looking pair of ruffle tie waist pants. So, I asked her where she got them and she said, "Amazon". Comfy, chic, affordable, and free 2 day shipping? Yes please! So, I found these for less than $16 and quickly placed an order.

An Evening in Provence

An Evening in Provence

Last week, I headed out on a "school night" to venture down to Disney Springs for the first annual Spring Showcase event at L'Occitane for an evening of sipping, tasting, mingling, and pampering with other local bloggers and store owners. I almost didn't go because I was afraid to go by myself and mingle, but I'm so glad I took the plunge and went.

These spicy margaritas were DELISH! I keep saying I need the recipe, but then I stumbled upon on it on the menu board in the below picture. Definitely going to try to recreate them at home - yum!

Such a fun night, I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and met some local bloggers, enjoyed some pampering, and enjoyed the best spicy margarita I've ever had. Yep, still thinking about that. And the macarons.

It's Gonna be May

It's Gonna be May

Sorry...had to, but at least I didn't post the meme. I love the month of May though, as the April showers have mostly moved on, the flowers are blooming - especially my favorite Magnolia blossoms, and the pool is warm enough for lounging in every weekend. In honor of April, which did not bring spring for most of the country and down here brought us a lot of rain I did have some favorites I wanted to recap.
This wrap dress which is perfect for work, and still on major sale for less than $24 and comes in 3 colors! Run don't walk to scoop up this office appropriate dress that meets all the criteria of staying comfortable in the warmer months.

Still obsessing over this cozy top. I love that it's breezy enough to keep wearing as the temps heat up especially paired with shorts and a pair of slides or sandals.

These green shorts... I must have had a thing for green in April. They've been on serious repeat each weekend paired with slouchy tops and tanks. Have I mentioned lately that spring and summer fashion is my fav? I have? Ok...

Lots of local fun checking out cozy coffee shops, new breweries, and the mini-golf pub crawl with Pamela, and some more outdoor living fun with Emily. We were WAY overdue for a good catch up over drinks and good food.

So much to love from the Sephora Beauty Insider Spring Bonus Event....
Limited Edition Cheek Palette

Wonderlust Perfume - even the bottle looks like a dreamy vacation sunset

Highlighter - marked down to only $17 which is a 50% savings!

Sinful Colors Easy Going - not from the Sephora sale, but only $2 at Target or Amazon and great staying power!

Finished Ozark, and started binging Scandal on Netflix. Oh yes, I'm extremely late to the Olivia Pope party, but better late than never right? Now I just need her work wardrobe, and flawless skin.

What are some of your favorites from April?
