Not So Scary Birthday Party

I'm still in utter disbelief that my baby is THREE! We celebrated her with a Minnie Mouse themed "Not So Scary Birthday Party" at the house per her request which was the perfect combo of Minnie and Fall.

The Mystery Mouskatool was a surprise tool that the adults could use later - it was apple cider, spiced rum, cinnamon, and apple slices. I forgot to snap a picture until it was almost gone, but it was delish!

*She was so excited to have some of her favorite school friends at her house*

It was an abnormally warm day for late October, even for Florida (contrary to popular belief it's not hot here all year - the heat usually breaks by late September or early October) - so the kiddos braved the chilly pool water after sweating it out with some bounce house fun.

*Same crew as several years ago - we've just added a bunch of littles*

Menu

Ordered pizzas
Mouskatools (silverware)
Hot Diggity Dogs (pigs in a blanket)
Minnie's Bow-tique (strawberries and grapes)
Daisy's Cheese and Quackers
Minnie's Trail Mix
Pumpkin Pie Dip
Bow-tie Pasta Salad
Gooey Fish (Swedish Fish)
Honest Juice Pouches
Water Bottles
Bottled Beer for the adults
Mystery Mousekatool for the adults (recipe above)
Cake was custom made by our former neighbor and was pumpkin spice with butter cream filling and fondant on the outside.

Activities

Bounce House
Corn Hole
Soccer goal and soccer balls outside
Swimming

Favors

Mickey and Minnie Ears
Pumpkin Buckets ($1 each from Target)
Mickey Straws
Play Doh
Organic Fruit Snacks (I picked up Annie's Halloween version of bunnies and bats)
Bubbles

Most of the decor was from Amazon, Etsy, Hobby Lobby, and Target. I was very disappointed in the selection at Party City, and all that came from there were the balloons and they lost air so quickly that I was unimpressed with those as well and will get party balloons from Publix next time.

Jingle All the Way

We're officially in the season of all things celebration. Whether it's a family shindig, your office Christmas party, or ringing in the New Year I've got you covered. I can't resist all things sparkly, especially this time of year. So bring on all the shiny things and sequins, more is more!

Celebration and Bubbles

Monday, you crept up on us a tad too quickly again. Time to grab another cup of coffee, and get to it!

This weekend was all about celebrating a dear friend and her sweet baby who's on the way, and will be about a year younger than lil' miss. Another October baby! It was a pre-gender reveal and pre-baby shower since we're all so excited for our friend, and her little one. Emily was the hostess with the mostess, and we all brought decor and the fixin's for a mimosa bar. I also brought a bottle of Fre sparkling wine (scooped it up at Target) for the momma to be so she could have some bubbles too.

Ready to Party

If there's one thing I love to do, it's throw a party. Between birthdays, holidays, and showers there's always something and someone to celebrate! These days, it seems like more people are jumping ship from Facebook, and the typical FB invite doesn't always set the correct tone for the party. Enter Paperless Post, an online invitation and card website where you can digitally send the perfect invitation for your event ranging from brunches and cocktail parties to bridal and baby showers and various holiday parties. They even feature some of my favorite designers such as Kate Spade and Sugar Paper!

Sip and See
*Champs and baby snuggles? Yes please!*

A few years ago, it seemed like everyone was having little boys and now everyone is having girls. Serena has so many friends on the way!

Brunch is hands down my favorite meal of the week, and I love how something so simple can be dressed up and so much fun. Fancy boozy drinks, food, and friends... what's not to love?

My Florida girls threw me a travel themed baby shower brunch in September, and it was the perfect theme and setting combining two of my favs - brunch and traveling. The invitation sets the initial tone for the event, and from there Pinterest will help with a surplus of ideas from decor, to the menu, and of course the centerpiece of the party: the cake.
