Beautiful Summer Weekending

Another beautiful summer weekend has come and gone, and I need all the coffee this morning as I enter into what will be a super busy week.

Friday was all about the Olympics Opening Ceremony, so I fixed up a spread of tomato and mozz salad, some dips, and baked some cream cheese chocolate chip cookies for the next day. Because who doesn't like to mow down on cookies while watching the best athletes in the world celebrate their accomplishments?

I mean how picture perfect is the city of Rio? You can't beat the gorgeous beaches, the beautiful mountains, and the amazing culture. Rio has been high up on my list of international cities to travel to next, but unfortunately it had to take a backseat this year to Bermuda. Because pregnant and Zika...

Saturday was my last boat day before baby girl arrives with Pamela, Kerri, and the boys. Beautiful day out on the river and the lake, just what summer days are made of.

On Sunday, I tried out a new (to me) coffee shop. I love checking out locally owned shops, and this one was super cute inside with eclectic seating and had a great outdoor patio as well to sip on your drink. I went with an iced Americano with skim milk and a shot of caramel flavor - YUM!

The rest of the day was about online shopping and catching up on the Olympics on the DVR. I cashed in my Nordstrom Note to finally pick up a S'well Bottle. Look how pretty!

S'well Bottle in Turquoise or how I like to say "Tiffany Blue"

White Out

While up in CT for my baby shower last weekend, I donned this comfy May Dress by BB Dakota for a day of touring my old college campus and visiting my favorite places to eat. This dress will also look great in the fall after baby girl has arrived, I plan on belting it, and adding a jacket and peep toe booties to transition the look for cooler weather.

Hello August

Well hello August, how'd you get here so fast? As sad as I am that there's only a month and a half left of summer, I'm happily ringing in my birthday month!

After a long weekend up in CT last week for baby shower #1, it was nice to relax this weekend by the pool and celebrate a friend's birthday with a yummy dinner. But, first let's recap my weekend in CT:

Dress - Asos | Wedges *on sale* - Tommy Hilfiger | Watch - Kate Spade | Hair - Irresistible Me

We flew in Thursday night, and were up early on Friday to head down with my brother to our alma mater to pick up some alumni gear at the campus bookstore. It was surreal to walk around, and see how much it's changed since we graduated. So many beautiful new buildings, and I love the new quad area.

Then it was time for some lunch, we ventured downtown hoping to have some CT-famous pizza but there was an event going on and a lot of the roads were blocked off and it was $12+ to park so we moved to the next town over for their amazing wings before making our way over to our favorite ice cream shop tucked away on a farm.

The next day was my shower, which my mom, friends, sister and mother in-law all did an amazing job on. They went with a beach baby theme, and all the little details were beautiful. My brother's girlfriend came over to do my hair, and she incorporated my hair extensions from Irresistible Me to give me some extra oomph since I recently got a haircut. She did a fabulous job!

Believe it or not, they had to move the shower indoors because it was hotter in CT than in FL that weekend since they were experiencing a heat wave.

*My bestie from high school (who's also pregnant!) and my bestie from college*

*H and my brother showed up at the end to help clean up*

The next morning there was time for a quick visit to my cousin's to meet his adorable new little boy, and get some baby snuggles in before heading back to the airport.

This weekend it was time to celebrate a friend's b-day at a new tapas restaurant down by the Orlando Eye. It's always fun to play tourist for the evening, and we even checked out Sugar Factory before heading over to Tapa Toro for dinner. It was a hot summer evening, so I wore my new Suncoo lemon mini dress (currently on sale for 70% off + free shipping!) which was the perfect stylish piece to stay comfortable in the heat.
