Ringing in the Cozy

I'm in total disbelief that we are already into the month of October! With it being the busiest time of year for me at work, and with travel it goes by even faster than it ever did before. When I return home after this back to back trip, I'm looking forward to squeezing in a trip to the pumpkin patch, the corn maze, baking some treats with Lil' Miss and celebrating my sweet girl who is turning FIVE!

As I'm constantly packing and unpacking my suitcase, and while out and about at home I've been adding gold rings to almost every look. They're the perfect finishing pieces for both casual and dressier styles.

Enjoying an iced coffee on the balcony in Marco Island after unplugging with my little family. Always good for the soul!

Date night ready with the prettiest details! Also great for grabbing a cup of coffee, drinks with the girls or running errands.

Ruffles and Dainty Gold Rings

This past weekend was a sizzling hot one, and was spent in the pool and sipping on my favorite local cold brew coffee. Airy ruffled tops and dainty gold rings were on tap when not swimming and were perfect for this middle of summer weather in Florida. We headed to one of our favorite local spots for dinner one night, and you can even peep my mask hanging out of my pocket as I forgot to put it in my purse for pictures. Blogger fail - ha! We went for a nice walk around the lake across from the restaurant after we ate to work off some of the delicious food. Soaking in these longer days and all the sunshine as I am never one to rush in fall and the shorter days.

Other recent happenings - our sweet pup turned one! She's still very much a puppy and super energetic! I headed out to the doggy bakery, and picked up her up a mini cupcake and a birthday bone to celebrate her first milestone. Lil' Miss was very excited to give her doggy one of her birthday treats. I honestly don't know which one was more excited - two happy girls for sure!

Speakeasies and Cookies

Florida has officially turned the heat on, and we've been enjoying lots of pool time and patio meals. We even snuck in our first date night in years. We go on lots of day dates by taking time off while Lil' Miss is at school, but hadn't had a night out together sans kiddo in quite some time.

We went to not 1 but 2 speakeasy spots downtown one with a secret door and the other where you needed a password to enter and go up to their secluded roof top area. Always fun, and the Orlando skyline never disappoints!

I added 2 new special pieces to my date night look which are from the Dune Jewelry x Luca + Dani collection in honor of Worlds Oceans Day. Each piece is filled with sand from the beaches in Cape Cod which always holds a place in my heart as I grew up going to the Cape every summer with my family and it's one of the first getaways my husband and I had when we were dating.

Beach memories are the best memories, and these nautical bracelets evoke warm, happy, and beachy day vibes. Playing in the sand with my brother and cousins, looking for hermit crabs with my grandparents, and always looking out for the windmills are some of my favorite memories of Cape Cod.

Each piece from this collection will benefit the Association to Preserve Cape Cod with 10% of the proceeds. I love beautiful pieces that also support a cause, and this one comes with beautiful memories as well. I also plan on wearing it next year at my cousin's wedding on the Cape which will build upon new memories as well.

Other goings on lately were these cookies! Oh my! My husband had been talking about Crumbl Cookies for a while, and when I went to get a pedicure recently I saw the shop in the same plaza and immediately decided to go inside and order a box to take home and for us all to enjoy. Let me tell you they are worth the hype! If you have one near you don't walk - RUN!

Lil' Miss also had her first week of VBS, and loved every second. Her favorite parts were singing, snacktime (of course), games, and arts "and craps". I thought it was adorable that she called arts and crafts - arts and craps. I'll miss those little things as she gets older and more well spoken. I tell her all the time to please stay little, and she just yells back "NO! I want to get bigger!" Sigh.

All the Ingredients of Spring

A little fresh air, sunshine, and sangrias = spring. Am I right? With so many beautiful spots to enjoy the outdoors in Central Florida, and most everyone I know already vaccinated it's a nice treat to meet up with some of my favorite girls for an after work drink or two. These sangrias were just as good as they look, and were meant for spring time patio sipping. I broke out some blush pink and stackable rings for the occasion, and we caught up and discussed travel plans for later this year. Fingers crossed it happens! I'm very hopeful for what the rest of this year will bring, lets make it sparkle!

These were so refreshing! Our server suggested them, and said it was one of the best batches he had seen prepared in a while so we were sold. They did not disappoint! They looked and tasted like spring in a glass.

I also felt like I was embracing this season of exciting growth and fun colors. The only thing I was missing was some ground breaking florals! That quote will never ever get old considering I own the DVD, yet every time it comes on tv I have to watch. Oh Miranda... From the tie shoulder detailing that I'm already obsessing over to the blush pink, and dainty jewelry pieces I am here for spring!

We were at Chroma Modern Bar and Kitchen in this darling area in Lake Nona. It's the perfect spot to enjoy some outdoor dining, and even let the kiddos run around. There are lots of great local restaurants, fountains, wall murals, and outdoor activities. I knew when I moved to the sunshine state it was to fully embrace outdoor living, and that also never gets old. Now if we could just hold on to this perfect weather a little bit longer before the humidity rolls in, that would be great. Pretty please Mother Nature?

Pink Sand from Bermuda

Bermuda is not just one of the most beautiful places I've visited, but it was where we celebrated the impending arrival of Lil' Miss on our Babymoon in 2016. I now get to carry the famous pink sand from Horseshoe Bay Beach with me in this gorgeous bracelet from Dune Jewelry. It was the perfect Mother's Day gift to myself, and I even sent a matching one to my sweet momma since Bermuda is where my parents went on their honeymoon back in 1981. We're officially bracelet buddies - do you hear Joey Tribbiani's voice too?

She cried when she opened the bracelet, and was in awe that the pink sand inside her bracelet was actually from her favorite beach in Bermuda and couldn't wait to tell my dad.

With Mother's Day around the corner, a piece of personalized experiential jewelry filled with sand from her favorite beach around the world makes the perfect gift. All of their pieces are handmade with sand and earth elements from your favorite locations around the world. Celebrate mom this year with a piece of her paradise, and save 20% with code MOM2021.

Lil' Miss was excited when I told her the meaning of the bracelet I was wearing. I told her that we went on a trip to celebrate that we'd be meeting her soon, and now I have some sand from the beach we went to in a special bracelet. She said "Oooooh it's really pretty Mommy". Heart officially melted.

Finishing the Look with Stackable Rings

I'm a huge fan of basic pieces that are dressed up a little by a fun pair of heels or pretty accessories. I recently paired my white tee and jeans look with a leopard clutch and stackable rings, and may just need to make it my new weekend uniform. Also, I think this is the first pair of jeans I've purchased in a very long time that didn't have holes in them. I still love my distressed denim, but it was refreshing to whip out a new pair that has more of a finished look.

We headed over to F&D Kitchen for dinner and bottomless mimosas - I'm always won over by a place that offers this option aside from just at brunch. We sat outside on their beautiful patio with views of the nearby fountain and lush vegetation (have I mentioned lately how much I love living in Florida?!), and I only needed a light sweater.

After working all last weekend on site for a virtual event, it was nice to relax and spend time with those who matter most. Add fresh air and bubbles, and it was just what I needed to unplug. I truly love what I do, but have been feeling lately like my brain is always ON. Between my full time career, a freelance side hustle, being a momma to my sweet girl, a wife, a good friend, sister, daughter, etc... and then add on this blog on my tiny slice of the internet and I get burnt out. Unplugging is necessary and good for the soul.

After dinner, we went for a nice walk and headed home to relax with Disney+. Have you heard? We finally joined 2020... errr in 2021 and signed up for Disney+. We are 3 episodes into The Mandalorian, and I have Hamilton and all the old Mickey cartoons on my list. I am all about the old Disney movies and cartoon shorts. Bring on the nostalgia!

Pop Fizz Clink is the official sound of the weekend!

Let it Sparkle

We had a cold front blow through the sunshine state this week which has me reminiscing about all the travel of year's past. As in any year that wasn't 2020. Just last week I donned a cozy tank and shorts to drive down to the Keys for a few days of outdoor fun. Travel style isn't just about the clothes, it's also about the fun accessories like stackable rings and fun bags.

I was armed and ready for our most recent trip to Key Largo last week. I took the minimal approach, and only packed 2 pairs of sandals - the ones on my feet and a pair for the pool and beach.

Still love the dainty pieces for outdoor dining on our anniversary trip to St. Pete Beach in June. It was a nice little getaway after being at home for several months.

A beautiful rose gold bridge ring was the perfect piece for a cozy chic outfit for Thanksgiving weekend in Marco Island last year. Another beautiful water view - Florida is always showing off!

All dressed up for a work event while in Singapore - believe it or not the gala was right before I left for the airport to begin the 30+ hour trip home. Exhausting but SO worth it!

Excuse the lighting of this photo, because the main focus is the fact that it was taken outside an amazing restaurant Milan. Another gala, and whirlwind work trip. This time it took me across the pond to Italy. I had to do a lot of walking that evening so opted for my favorite ballet flats in rose gold of course!

All dressed up for the last work gala of the year (and who would have thought it would be my last for the unforeseen future?!) in Rio De Janeiro. I brought along my favorite bow bangle and studded heels, and recycled the same little black dress I wore to the first gala of the season here in Orlando. I always love to promote shopping your closet

Still swooning over this fountain at the resort we stayed at in Boca Raton last year for a quick overnight on my birthday. A stop by this beauty before we walked across the golf course to dinner was a great idea.

We took Lil' Miss on a staycation to the lazy river in June 2019 for another quick overnight, and she was so excited to pose with mommy as we walked to dinner. I broke out an oldie but a goodie dress and a dainty gold necklace. She was wearing Lilly and it was another reminder of how her closet is better than mine - ha!

A statement necklace and a bold cocktail ring were on deck for wine tasting my way through Napa and Sonoma with friends in 2017. The views and the wine were incredible, and I can't wait to go back someday!

I donned the same statement necklace along with stacked bracelets when we explored the beautiful island of Bermuda on our babymoon in 2016. I still can't get over how insanely blue the water was there, to this day I will claim it's more beautiful than the water I've seen in Fiji or the Caribbean. And the pink sand at Horseshoe Bay? AMAZING!

Hair extensions and a bold lip paired with flip flops for a friend's destination wedding in Punta Cana back in 2015. It was nice to dress up, but still keep it casual. And those beach views? Yes please!

Ok now I have a serious case of wanderlust! I pulled out my passport ornament to hang on the tree last week, and now I can't wait to use the real deal again. Where's the first place you'd like to travel once it's safe again?
