Other than frosé, there's no better summer treat than going out for ice cream. (See how I manage to insert frosé into every post lately?) After spending some time in the pool last weekend, we headed out for some ice cream and even lil' miss was loving it. And can we talk about how much the high school and college girl in me is loving that denim skirts are making a comeback?

Less Monday More Summer

Well hello first Monday of summer! After a refreshing weekend filled with lots of pool time, a burns so good Bar Method class, grilling and a movie night with friends over lots of laughs, and an ice cream date with my little family my heart is full and ready to take on the week.

So much to love this time of year, but aside from the extra hours of sunshine and all the outdoor fun it's also my favorite time of year for fashion. I know I need to turn in my white girl card by admitting that I don't go oh so crazy over fall fashion. It's cute, don't get me wrong, but it's all jeans, vests, scarves, and boots - wash, rinse, repeat. I love the variety in the summer - shorts, rompers, dresses, skirts, beach coverups - I can't get enough! Plus, how easy is it to just throw on a sundress and walk out the door looking polished and put together? I rounded up my summer favorites this year that I just can't get enough of below.

My go-to weekend uniform is a fun graphic tee paired with distressed shorts and sandals - because who doesn't love a pop of leopard?

The fabulously sweet Gentry put it perfectly - two piece sets are the new rompers. I'm still rockin' rompers all summer (and fall) long, but enter the statement making sets like this one for only $16. Sold!

I finally caved, and scooped up these wedges which are still on major sale and seriously go with everything like these darling tie waist scallop shorts.

Once it's hot out, you can find me by or in the water. This gingham bikini is my favorite new addition to my bathing suit drawer, and is often mixed with my new $14 rose gold sunnies and $8 fedora because we should all be practicing safe sun.

I couldn't be happier that denim skirts are making a big comeback, and I've wasted no time rockin' my oldies but goodies and scouting out new pretties like this Free People number named after one of my favorite movies from high school. Match made in heaven! It goes perfectly with these bow jelly sandals for a dash of extra nostalgia.

Finish off your summer look with the perfect scent, MK's Wonderlust has been on repeat and just brings a sense of adventure and tropical beaches. Brb I'm going to go pack my suitcase!

Another fabulous summer weekend is in the books, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year isn't it? Longer days, al fresco dining, pool, beach, and lake time - I love it all! We celebrated Father's Day, checked out a new to us restaurant, and had plenty of pool time.

Summer Days

Summer weather is here and in full force, and I couldn't be happier! Any time out of the office has been spent poolside, at the beach, at the springs, and dining al fresco.

A few weeks ago, H and I celebrated his birthday by taking off that Friday and heading to Wekiva Island for a date day.

We also celebrated our anniversary (8 years - whoa!) a few weeks early while my mom was here to watch lil' miss, and checked out a dessert bar. Better Than Sex Desserts started in Key West, and now has a location in Orlando so we went to check it out. All I have to say is - YUM!

This past weekend, one of H's best friends from CT (who now lives in Chicago) came to visit. So, we took Friday off for a beach day and spent Saturday poolside before the guys headed out for the evening and I had quality time with lil' miss.
