Here we are Monday - we meet again! After a fun weekend, I'm ready for all the coffee to kick off this fabulous week.
On Friday after work, I went out to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was nice to see a lot of people I haven't seen since the craziness of the holiday season, and of course champagne.
On Saturday, Pamela, Emily, Kerri, and I met up with Ashley for dinner at City Walk while she was in town visiting Universal Studios and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Ashley was super sweet! And I love how she and her husband truly are the wandering weekenders, they go on the best whirldwind weekend trips.
We went to a sushi-burger fusion place called Cowfish which was great for us non-seafood eaters, I loved getting to enjoy a "sushi" roll which replaced the fish with meat all while trying to smooth out my chopstick skills.
After dinner, we headed over to the Red Coconut Club for another drink and live music. Of course we stopped for a fun photo opp first.
Sunday was a cozy day filled with doggy snuggles and a House of Cards re-watch marathon. Now that Netflix has announced the release date of season 4, I'm enjoying the first few seasons again and am being reminded of how amazingly well the detail and the writing is for this show. As a Political Science major and an intern at the legislature in college, I'm Kate and I approve of this brilliant show.

That sushi place sound great! I don't eat fish so I'm always stuck getting a veggie roll that doesn't fill you up. I need to find a place near me that substitutes with meat!

What a fun weekend!! I've heard great things about house of cards I almost started it this weekend since I didn't want to leave my house haha! We started Orange is the new black instead, that might have to be next though!

hahaha love that you approve of house of cards. i really want to watch it, but kc doesn't, and it's hard to stay into a show when i'm watching it alone and sporadically (we only have one tv and i hate watching tv on my laptop). love your blogger meet up, so cute! i'm so jealous of ashley's weekend trips, they always seem so fun! we almost ate at that cowfish place when we were there, but they ignored us for 20 minutes and then finally seated us and proceeded to ignore us again, so we left. bummer because it looked good!

ReplyDeleteI seriously had the best time with you girls on Saturday! It was so much fun to actually talk face to face, instead of just over the internet! I'm so excited about House of Cards returning soon too! That's such a great idea to go back and rewatch some of the earlier seasons because I definitely don't think that I remember everything that happened during Season 3.
