Live like you're on vacation on the weekend

This weekend, H and I decided to have a "date weekend". After my mom being here for so long, and the back to back pool parties at the house we wanted to have a weekend just for us and it was pure perfection.

Friday, we went to Epcot to use our passes one last time before they black out for a few weeks, and I rode Soarin' for the first time which was exhilarating!

Character meetings, strawberry beer, a few rides, and of course fireworks. And Mickey tried to make H jealous, but Minnie got her revenge...

I wore my new J. Crew chino shorts in wild strawberry that I got during their Memorial Day sale.

Saturday, we headed out to the beach where we checked out a beach bar that Emily and K raved about. We enjoyed some yummy buckets and the pool area that had a DJ before heading down to the beach.

Friends of ours were a couple of miles up the road with their boat at the inlet, so we decided to break our "just us" rule for a few hours to spend time with them out on their boat. So.much.fun.

We even saw dolphins!

That evening, we went out for dinner and enjoyed some more drinks in the cutest little mason jars.

*Drinks taste better in cute little mason jars*

Sunday, we relaxed by the pool with drinks and grilled out for lunch. I felt completely and utterly relaxed and after such an amazing weekend I almost felt like I was on vacation. Then it hit me, we should act like we're on vacation on the weekends. It's our time, and we shouldn't just leave vacations to well vacations... enjoy the beach/the pool and have that fruity drink in a souvenir cup!

  13. Soarin is the best! I used to go to Orlando at least once a month and I loved visiting Epcot, it feels like more fun and less stress than the other parks.

  15. It looks like you had a blast! I love Disney parks. They are so fun and I love their attention to detail. You make me want to live where you do. Seeing dolphins and going to a Disney park would require a flight for me (or a really long drive).

I found you through the BeYouTiful link up.
