Lots to Celebrate

I feel like I have been so out of the loop with everything - here on the blog, my social life, projects at home, etc... and we are celebrating the end of an unprecedented event season at work. As most of you know, each fall my company goes on a world tour which brought me to Singapore, Milan, and Rio de Janeiro last year - incredible to say the least. Obviously, any type of large conference with thousands of people and traveling internationally was out of the question this year. So, all of our events were virtual which we kicked off on the Hard Rock Live stage with Tony Robbins as our keynote. Experience of a lifetime! But I am SO relieved that our season closed this past weekend, this momma is tired. I'm looking forward to a much needed family getaway to the Keys in a few weeks and ringing in the holiday season. Heck I've even begun stocking up on pantry items for Thanksgiving, as I have a feeling certain things may be difficult to find this year the week of. Let's do this!

Another reason to celebrate? THESE pants! Yes, I just referred to leggings as pants. Do not sleep on these! I don't know why I did for so long, but finally pulled the trigger this year as it was the one and only item on my wish list that wasn't sold out during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Honestly, I'm beyond over the hype of that sale - it's the same stuff every year, most items sell out before even the cardholders can shop, and I just can't get excited about sweaters and boots in the middle of a Florida summer. There I said it... please revoke my blogger card - ha!

Once the event concluded, a celebratory margarita at my favorite local spot was on the agenda. Even Lil' Miss was a dancing machine, and excited for mommy being home on the weekends again. The news had just broke a few hours prior that this ridiculous election is finally over. Let's all take a huge deep breath guys. No matter what side you were on, and what policies you want to see in action - all of us ladies have seen the biggest glass ceiling absolutely shattered. We will be swearing in a woman for the first time ever to the Vice Presidency. That is pretty amazing to think about, especially as I hug my sweet girl. One of the (many) books I read to her at bedtime talks about a girl being able to do anything a boy can do, and I always stop and talk to her face to face and let her know that she should never let anyone ever tell her she can't do something because she is a girl. May we continue to raise strong independent woman!

  19. Those drinks look lovely! I'm glad you get to relax after a busy season at work, and it's nice to see you have a female vice president. I know it was exciting back in 2010( I think it was then) when we had our first female prime minister, similar role to your president.

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you had a great weekend :)
