Ciao Bella!
It's been a while since I showed up here hasn't it? I returned from a work trip to Milan last week, celebrated lil' miss' birthday (how is my baby THREE?!), and have also been trying to combat a sinus infection that most of us seemed to have brought back from Italy as a souvenir before we head into our last international trip for the season next week. Any guesses where I'm off to next? I'll give you a hint - it's a new continent and it'll be warmer than it was in Milan.
I was in awe as we were descending into Italy over the Alps - the mountains are just breathtaking and pictures from the plane do not do it justice... at all!
That evening, it was time to get dressed up for the Gala. This is my favorite event of the weekend, as it's not as rushed and I'm not running around as stressed. And did I mention the gorgeous details that go into this dinner? Hello animal print - you are my favorite neutral.

I was sad however that my layover in Amsterdam wasn't long enough to leave the airport and explore. So, I faked it by enjoying the glossy tulips and touristy souvenirs around the airport.
I like to call this look "fresh off the plane chic". No really - after over 12 hours of (overnight) travel where I barely dozed off, we had about an hour drive to the hotel from the airport, I checked in, dropped off my bags, and headed to dinner at the Navigli Canal because we were all hangry. Exhausted and hungry is never a good combination! But we were about to make up for it with real pizza and gelato!
The next day, I headed over to the convention center to start collecting content and have a meeting with some co-workers from our European team. Then a few of us headed out to the Milan City Centre to collect content for social media and recap videos of where we were so we weren't just posting from the venue. Not too shabby if you ask me! Pulling up to the Duomo Cathedral was a surreal moment to say the least.
Collapsing with wet hair for the night calls for messy buns the next day. This is real life - I wore what was most comfortable to site see and didn't have time to do Insta-worthy hair and makeup. But you know what... I think I enjoyed the experience even more without worrying about the not-so-important stuff.
*The food oh the food - it truly is THAT good in Italy*

*Terrible lighting - but the setting for the gala was gorgeous*
