Fall To-Do List

Now that I've officially embraced fall, it's time to start enjoying all my favorite fall activities. A lot of people think Florida has endless summer, but we definitely get seasons we just don't get the crappy one (old man winter). We have fall like temps when up north is experiencing winter, and our spring is the same as anywhere else with new flowers blooming and the trees that lost their leaves coming back.
1. Decorate the house for fall and not just for Halloween so the decor will carry through to Thanksgiving. Most of my decor is from Michaels and Target.
2. Check out a local Oktoberfest
3. Evenings by the fire-pit
4. Go pumpkin picking
5. Get lost in a corn maze
*Corn Maze - 2013*
6. Go wine tasting
7. Host a pumpkin carving party
8. Over indulge on s'mores and apple cider donuts
9. Go to a football game and tailgate
*Tampa Bay vs. Kansas City 2012*
*UGA vs. UF game 2013*
10. Bake pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin spice cupcakes from scratch. Maybe attempt making my first pie including the crust too.
What are some of your fall must-dos?

  15. I love everything! I always try to decorate for the fall season instead of Halloween too - it's just easier. Tailgating (of course), pumpkin carving and wine tasting are on my list too - wine tasting is perfect for any day but there's just something fun about the fall crisp air and wine!

  16. Ahh so many fun things! I've never been to an actual wine tasting, I need to do that this year! And cannot wait for the corn maze to open! Love that shot of you by the fire pit. I can't even imagine weather that cool that we need to dress like that. It still seems so far away haha! And umm where did you get those beer footballs? So fun!!

  20. Great list! Your house looks so great for fall, I love how you have decorated. And those apple cider donuts look so good!! I like to warm up my donut and have a little apple crisp ice cream with it. It is so good!!

  21. Loving your Fall decor! I've never carved a pumpkin before, but I've wanted to attempt it, it looks like it would be difficult, but fun to try nonetheless. Totally yes on overindulging on apple cider donuts, they're the best. I make a mean pumpkin cheesecake pie, but I only buy the pre-made crust so kudos to you for wanting to attempt it from scratch!

  22. Check check check! I need to find a local Octoberfest - it's the best way to celebrate fall, right? :)

I haven't taken my kids to a pumpkin patch since we moved back to CA so I might need to do that again. And wineries are always on my bucket list!! LOL.

  41. Your list is so fantastic-I want to do all of it! Love your fall decor. I had apple cider doughnuts for the first time a few weeks ago, and now I'm addicted!

  43. I'm transitioning all of my fall decor away from Halloween and more to generic fall too. I really, really, really love Halloween decor, but it's a total pain to bounce from Halloween to Fall to Christmas.
