I grew up in Connecticut which was easy access to the rest of New England, as well as being about an hour outside of NYC and New Jersey. I also traveled a lot to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina growing up since my nana lived there. Moving to Florida has provided me with the endless options of travel between the Atlantic side and the gulf side of the state. So many beautiful cities and beach towns.

I always thought I was well traveled, until I built this map and it looks like I've barely scratched the surface of traveling around the world. I went all the way to Fiji for my honeymoon, but didn't think to package it together with New Zealand or Australia. After learning my lesson from that trip, I made sure that when we "crossed the pond" to go to Europe for the first time last spring that we didn't just stay in one place. We conquered 4 cities in 6 days which was a lot, but totally worth it.

Looks like I still have a lot of trips to review on the blog, and that's why I'm looking forward to rolling out a monthly travel link up with some of my favorite girls. Get your posts ready (and dig up some old favs), hopefully I'll be making a more formal announcement soon!
Where are some of your favorite places you've been? Where do you want to make a point to go next?
DAMN, girl, you've got me beat in the US and the world!!! I thought I was pretty good with 26 states visited! You are an awesome traveler. I love this post and have mine ready to go next week! Jealous of your international travel, I want to go to FIJI so badly!

I love these posts and those little map gadgets! It's so fun to see all the places you've been (which is a LOT more than me!!) I have not been in the mood to travel for a long time due to having kids (they were hard to take anywhere and we didn't have anyone to leave them with that we trusted), but we're starting to get to a stage where we can travel more and I am sooo excited to explore some new places!

ReplyDeleteYou have been to a lot of places. I haven't done near enough International travel so I really want to start going more places overseas. North Carolina was a favorite. Germany was nice too.
ReplyDeleteI want to hit all 50 states - I don't have a lot done so we're trying to knock a lot out with road trips over the next few years.
ReplyDeleteCome on over to MS for a visit!
ReplyDeleteYou have been to so many places!!! That is awesome! I am not sure how many states I have been too. I haven't been further west than Texas yet.
