My favorite thing about this port was the colorful architecture. But man alive was the sun hot! We did a day at the beach by boat excursion as there aren't many beaches in Curacao, but there are some really pretty man-made ones (beware of the nude sun-bathers! I swear every time I've been to a nude beach or topless pool party in Vegas the only people who actually take advantage of the clothing optional rule are people you just don't want to see.. nuff said). Anywho.. I spent the majority of the day under a palm tree since the sun was so intense. We also spent some time at the tiki bar on the beach of course and tried some dutch food which was yummy :)
The most memorable structure from this island is definitely the Queen Juliana Bridge which you can see as soon as you get off the ship.
After we were done at the beach, we walked around the port and did some shopping and checked out one of the forts but I don't remember the name of it :-P
If you're considering a Southern Caribbean cruise I highly suggest an itinerary with this stop, or if you're headed to Aruba a lot of people make it a package deal with Curacao since the islands are both Dutch and so close to each other. You can split up your stay between the two ;)
