Relaxing Weekending

I'm very happy to report that I finally had a relaxing weekend, and Tropical Storm Erika ended up losing it's strength thankfully which means we are all safe and sound here in the "sunshine" state. I enjoyed some much-needed couch time, did some shopping, wine tasting, and gave the house a deep cleaning.
The rain ruined my Happy Hour on the patio and in the pool plans on Friday, but that didn't stop me from enjoying more Sparkling Skinny Girl Margarita in my birthday martini glass. Better late than never right? The rest of the evening was spent with competitive games of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Some of those stars are not easy to get....
Saturday, I was up bright and early to head off to Express for their jeans sale and to Target before spending the afternoon in the pool with my new pretty floatie.
*I picked up a pair of these Stella skinnies*
Then it was time for some fun in the pool with my new flamingo floatie from Emily. She's absolutely perfect, and I decided to name her Rose (like the champs).
After floating away on Rose for a while, I got ready to go out to the Wine Room to sample wines with a gift card I had gotten from a friend for my birthday. And because wine and cheese - YUM!

On Sunday, I did an outfit shoot downtown before the rain moved in, and was finally able to get some cleaning done around the house and enjoy movies on the couch. Perfection!

    Glad Erika didn't cause too much drama, I was worried about my Florida friends this weekend. How fun is Rose? Love her name by the way. Can't wait to see your outfit shoot pictures :)!

    Your weekend sounds wonderful - that float is just pure perfection and the best part is that you'll get a ton of use out of her since it'll be warm for a while in Florida!!     Sounds like it was a great weekend. Glad that the hurricane was downgraded. They are no joke. Ok I'm totally love with Rose. She is so cute!! Glad that the storm didn't totally make the weekend a wash. It should never rain on the weekends.

    Yeah we had A LOT of rain this weekend too, but we were exhausted from our trip so we were kind of okay with a rainy, lazy weekend! :) Love Rose, so cute!! I haven't played Mario Kart in ages, sounds like so much fun!

    sounds like a perfect relaxing weekend, and thank goodness the storm calmed down. i had a super lazy weekend, but also did stuff as well, just nothing exciting - but i was exhausted by sunday night lol. have a good week!

    I'm glad that someone else took advantage of the Express jeans sale! I've never worn their jeans before, so I ordered two pairs to see what the verdict is ... glad that you had a good weekend and that you're safe and sound!
