1. Believe it or not up until my trip to Chicago last weekend, I had never had the pleasure of visiting a Lush store. As I was walking by Macy's to get to the Hancock building I saw the Lush set up inside the window and knew I had to go check it out. Lovely experience, and of course I picked up a few goodies to bring home (which I'll review later).
2. Since I'm allergic to shellfish (booooo!), I've never attempted to try sushi while most of my girlfriends rave about it. Well, a few of my co-workers talked me into trying it for lunch this week to celebrate an office b-day. I played on the safe side and got broccoli tempura, but I'm calling it step 1! Step 2 will be trying an actual tuna or salmon roll. Baby steps people... baby steps!
3. Ordered a new Saints tee for my tailgating mixer at work next week. I am in need of an upgraded jersey (mine is seriously outdated), but didn't want to drop $100 right now plus I'll be working the mixer and know I'll be hot and running around so a tank was a better choice. I was also thinking about future games I'll go to and how how I always am sitting outside in the FL heat.

4. Stumbled upon this beautiful ambient lighting palette at Sephora, and am totally lusting after it although I'm not sure it's worth the cost.
5. Loving some of my recent pins on Pinterest:

I am not a fan of fish but broccoli roll I could totally get behind! That blue dress is gorgeous! Love the living room setup with the silver and white.

I can't imagine being allergic to shellfish - I'd be so sad!! But so happy you are enjoying the little bits of sushi!! Hope you have a great weekend and love your pins, especially that first one!
ReplyDeleteLush is the best ever!!!! There's one in the Florida Mall. Go when you get a chance and pick up the Ocean Salt scrub. Life changing.
ReplyDeleteWhen you feel a little braver about trying out sushi check out Shari Sushi in Thornton Park. My absolute fav ever!
Oh! That Hourglass palette. To die!!! I've wanted it for months but I can't bring myself to buy it. I'm just a bit skeptical about how well it will work for me. But it just keeps popping up on my wishlists. lol
Yay! You finally tried sushi!! Soon you'll be coming to Shari for girls nights! Lol kidding...Some places even have chicken rolls that you might like. Love the cuff bracelet from Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteI had the worst time even though it was a three day work week when we returned from our trip. I hope you have a restful and relaxing weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteLUSH smells so good when you walk in, doesn't it? I use a few of their things. There's a store right near my office.
Can you believe I've never tried a single thing from Lush?!? Maybe next time I'm in Chicago I'll have to finally hit it up :) Glad you liked the sushi... it took me a few times to actually enjoy it. If only you weren't allergic! Happy Friday!

DeleteGreat baby steps with the sushi...yummy!
ReplyDeleteThe bow on those shoes, AMAZING!

I haven't been in a Lush store either! I feel like I always walk by them when I'm in a huge rush or when I feel bad making Mike go in with me haha. I have absolutely never tried sushi - something about raw fish that weirds me out haha. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteLoving your pins too!! I've never heard of Lush, but it sounds awesome - can't wait for your review! And yay for trying sushi - I don't blame you for being afraid to try it though!
ReplyDeleteoh, those SHOES WITH THE BOWS! i'm not a heel-wearer but i would if they had bows on them!!!
ReplyDeleteLUSH is one of my favorite stores- their bath bombs and hair masks are the best! I've tried their shampoo/conditioners in the past too. Also that blue and white chevron dress is too cute, might have to find something similar for myself!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Those shoes with the bow! I am DYING right now. Total fashiongasm right there!
