I will definitely be needing all the coffee today after such an energy-filled amazing weekend.
Friday, I went out for a quick bite before heading over to Target for my weekly shopping trip where I caught this gorgeous sunset. Now that the rainy season seems to have finally moved on, we have been having such colorful sunsets each night.
Saturday was time to hit the road to go to Tampa for the day before going to the Zedd concert that evening. Once we got into town, we stopped to have drinks at the Sail Pavilion on the Riverwalk. We did a lot of walking with the gorgeous views of the water up and down the Riverwalk and out to Harbour Island before heading to Cigar City Brew Pub for dinner.
Then it was time for the show, which did NOT disappoint! It's official - in my opinion the best concerts hands down are when world re-knowned DJ's are spinning. You can't beat the energy, the pyrotechnics, and the all-around technology at these shows. I was wondering how this concert could top Kaskade at SunFest, and it was a tie. Both shows were incredible, and the only thing I preferred about the Kaskade show was that it was at a music festival outdoors under the perfect sky. And the weather this evening was perfect for an outdoor concert, but it was an indoor venue *womp womp*.
One of my favorite parts was when electrified purple glitter fell from the ceiling - who doesn't love purple glitter?
If you follow me on instagram (@greenfashionista) or on snapchat (@greenfashonista) you've probably already seen some of the videos I inundated especially on snap. I shamelessly posted numerous videos because I couldn't get over how amazing the concert was and the energy of the crowd.
I've been to countless concerts of all different genres of music, and most of them being unforgettable amazing shows - but these DJ's have stolen my heart when it comes to how to put on a spectacular show. I now know why Helene is so obsessed with the TomorrowLand music festival in Belgium, it's officially time for me to check out all the fun next year!

WOW, looks like one heck of a weekend, lady! The weather looked amazing and so did the food. I've never seen Kaskade in concert but LOVE the music, such fun beats!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe concert looks like so much fun! I agree about the high energy, I saw Deadmau5 a couple of years ago, outside at night under the stars, and it was amazing!

Sounds like it was a great weekend. I've never been to one of these types of concerts. I might have to give one a try. I know they have some here in Chicago as well. The river walk looks fantastic. I'll definitely have to stop there next time I'm in Tampa.

ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest reasons I attend giant, arena sized concerts is the hope that there will be a giant confetti drop at the end. Purple glitter would probably make my life!

ReplyDeleteSounds like the concert was an absolute blast! All the photos and videos you posted were amazing! i felt the same way when we went to see Tiesto. So much fun and energy! Did you spend the night in Tampa? It's great you went earlier in the day so you could walk around, enjoy the sunny weather and grab some drinks and food.
ReplyDeleteThe concert sounds fabulous!!! My husband would be totally jealous. He has always been in to EDM and DJ's. He is actually a DJ himself, but retired and just comes out once a year to do an annual Halloween party. Every now and then he puts out a mix cd if he played with his stuff that weekend. We love watching Ultra, Daisy Carnival and Tomorrow World and Land on our projector in our basement though! He live streams them and we stay in those weekends. It is like we are there but have our own alcohol and clean bathroom LOL! How is Cigar beers? I have seen a few around here but haven't tried them.

This sounds and looked like the coolest concert based on your snaps, I loved living vicariously through you. I remember David Guetta in Vegas and it was seriously one of the best concerts I'd been to because of all the pyrotechnics and visual effects..seriously you can't beat that. Those drinks look yummy too, glad you had a blast and hope that coffee is extra strong today!
