Last week we got a little taste of fall weather so I wore jeans for the first time in months, and broke out my beautiful new K-Cav ankle booties. I can't get over how pretty they are, they will definitely be on repeat!
I kicked off my weekend on Thursday with a happy hour filled with bubbles to celebrate the fabulous Kerri's birthday with Emily and Pamela.
Friday was all about my couch, Netflix, and doggy snuggles since that little bug decided to show up and take over. The body aches were unreal, but thankfully I felt much better by Saturday afternoon for catch up time with my fav neighbors. I made some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and spiced mulled wine to bring over (both recipes coming soon) to enjoy while they showed us a slideshow from their recent London and Paris trip.
*Love my spirit animal*
Sunday was all about laundry and packing before I headed out to network at a wedding expo. I stopped by the mall on my way home to replenish my foundation and cash in 6 empties for a free lipstick at MAC. If you don't know about the "Bring Back to MAC" program, you can read up on it here. If you bring in 6 empties of used up MAC products, they will take them back to recycle the packaging and you get to choose a free lipstick or lip gloss. I was on the hunt for a beautiful cranberry lip shade, and ended up taking home D for Danger which I can't wait to rock on my upcoming trips the next 2 weekends.
I also picked up this Merona quilted jacket at Target for my upcoming trip to CT for my sister in-law's baby shower. I'm not looking forward to the cold weather, but I can't wait to celebrate the arrival of my first nephew!
