Showing Love for the 3 Day Weekend

Why can't we have more 3 day weekends in our lives? They're so refreshing :)

Friday night we went with friends to the food trucks down by the lake and movie under the stars. The food was amazing and it was neat to finally go to an outdoor movie.

Afterwards, we went back to our friend's house and had some more beers and played pool.

Saturday, I made a big breakfast which we enjoyed out on the patio and of course Roxy joined us

Later on, we went out for some drinks and apps and then did some shopping. I'm so proud of myself, we went to several stores and I did not buy a single thing for myself clothing/shoes/makeup wise. My goal to spend less at Sephora has been going really well so far this year.

Then we stopped at Target *my happy place* and finished up some grocery shopping and picked up curtains (finally) for the dining room. It's amazing how simple something like hanging up curtains brings so much warmth to a room.

Sunday, I got up and cooked some pancakes and we got ready to go to the park to go see the manatees. It was much colder than it has been so I wore a hoodie and some boots and still ended up being cold at the park. Brrrrr!

We brought Roxy and she had the time of her life out there and she was giving out kisses left and right to everyone who stopped to pet her.

Poor girl was so tuckered out and slept (and snored) the whole car ride home... adorable!

Today, I have off *whoo hoo* but H doesn't booooo! I'll just be cleaning up around the house and pampering myself by going for a pedicure... oh and catching up on the DVR of course :0)

Update on my trying to eat more fresh foods... I've been eating a lot more salads just adding some yummy-ness to them like some chopped bacon or grilled chicken and reduced fat cheese.

Don't forget to link up with Sami and share your weekend shenanigans ;0)

  1. Your salad looks delish! I'm happy to be home today, too. A very brisk 46 here in Ft Lauderdale ths morning. Brrrr! I'm so jealous your dog is nice. Mine barks and growls and generally uses his 10 pounds to intimidate people. Embarrassing.
