Happy Friday and Last Weekend Catch Up

Happy Friday! Super excited for the weekend and not having an insanely packed schedule finally! *Just Breathe*

Plus, I still haven't recapped last weekend's festivities... it's been craziness around here I tell ya!

Last night I went to happy hour with the girls which was a fabulous time of course. Great times with great ladies and at the end Hedo Turkoglu (from the Magic) walked by and sat at the table right near ours. I met him at a game back in early 2011, but I figured what's another pic with the guy?

First run in back in January 2011.. he must have gotten distracted because he's totally not looking at the camera.. tsk tsk.. way to mess up my pic man!

Last night's run in... much better.. he's smiling AND looking at the camera!

Tonight I'm going to a pocketbook party at the neighbor's house. I'm in need of a new clutch so will be on the hunt for one :)

Tomorrow we have a football party to go to since our friends are a house divided... and no I'm not talking about the Yankees and Red Sox... I'm talking about Florida State and Miami. It'll be interesting to watch them trash talk each other while the rest of us enjoy some food and drinks.

Last weekend, we hosted our first game night here at the house. I forgot to take pictures of the action, but I did snap some pics of the food I prepared for it.

I made the following snacks:

~ Buffalo dip recipe can be found here

~ Festive cupcakes (I usually make my pumpkin spice cupcakes this time of year, but I got lazy and went with the festive box mix, I promise I'll be making the real deal soon and will post the recipe)

~ Jalepeno dip (from Tastefully Simple, just mix with cream cheese and serve with crackers)

~ Pumpkin pie dip and I promised to post the recipe:

In a large bowl, beat 1 block of cream cheese and 2 cups of powdered sugar until smooth. Add in 1 cup of canned pumpkin, 1/2 cup of sour cream, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and 2 tsp. of pumpkin spice. Mix well. Fold in 1 cup of cool whip. Serve with green apples, graham crackers, and ginger snaps. To be extra festive, serve in a carved out pumpkin.

~ Halloween shapes sugar cookies

~ Spiced wine served in the crockpot

In a large pot on the stove or a crockpot, combine a bottle of merlot, a bottle of cranberry juice (I use light or diet), and mix in mulling spices (or a packet of apple cider mix) over low heat.

We played a very loud game of Apples to Apples and an even louder game of Catch Phrase... so much fun. We'll definitely have to organize another one soon.

Sunday, H and I conquered a new stadium while going to see his Chiefs take on the Buccs. It wasn't pretty (the poor Chiefs got crrrrrrushed) but it was a lot of fun. Good friends, beer, and football... what else do you need in the fall?

Monday, H and I took the day off and spent the day with the newlyweds since they're staying at their timeshare in the area after getting back from their honeymoon cruise. We went swimming and they came to see our house and we cooked out and enjoyed each other's company. Can't wait to see them again!

Now we meet again weekend... which is great since I'm super fond of you.

Have a fantabulous weekend!
