Happy LTK Day

Happy LTK Day! Every time one of these days comes around I'm never prepared, so I don't really recognize myself right now - ha! I'm mostly excited because a few of my favorite shops are participating, and who can say no to 20-30% off?

I'm pumped for all things summer because not only is it my favorite season, but we will be wearing summery pieces here in Florida through at least October so the investment is definitely worth it for me and not so much for the over-hyped NSale. All I'll say about that is I can't get excited about fall pieces in July, it seems like the same stuff every year, and when I have sprung for a few items in the past I only get to wear it once or twice during our occasional cold fronts. So there's that.

But back to what's going on right now! For three days - you can shop exclusively in the LTK app and save big on brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, Express, YSL Beauty, Tarte, and Madewell to name a few.

Several of the pieces below I've already shared in the past, and others I'm hoping to scoop up during this exclusive sale. Now, I know a lot of bloggers are very familiar with the LTK app and RewardStyle. However, if you're new around here I wanted to give a few step-by-step instructions on how to shop this one-of-a-kind sale.

First things first - you need to download the FREE LikeToKnow.it app. Did I mention it's free? Yeah! You can find me on the app here or just search for greenfashionista. Super easy right?

Within the app you'll save 20% at Abercrombie & Fitch, $10 off $100 at Express, 25% off at Tarte, and even 30% off at YSL Beauty. Oooooh my favorite lipsticks! Starting today the promo codes for each of the retailers are available within the app.

From June 11th-13th simply open the LikeToKnow.it app, and you'll see a LTK Day flag over posts that have items eligible for the in-app sale. Click on a post with the LTK Day flag, and you'll find the shoppable items. Once you select an item, select additional details and a LTK Day offer will come up as well as the offer code. Remember - these offers only work within the app. You'll discover a whole new world of tap to purchase shopping!

It's really that easy! I can't wait to hear what you think of the sale, and about the app itself. Have you shopped the sale in the past?

The Gang's All Here

I mentioned the other day the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not my favorite (I know I know - you can go ahead and revoke my blogger card right now!). I actually prefer their Half Yearly Sale, because I don't feel sick of it before it even begins and wear warm weather pieces 90% of the year. But outside of our "blog bubble" most of my family and friends haven't even heard of the NSale. So, we're the lucky ones who are exhausted just thinking about it before it even begins. However, there are many great items on sale that you can enjoy now, are classic pieces, are closet staples for years to come, and great affordable basics. I've included lots of wearable and affordable items below, and I even included some toddler pieces I'm eyeing for Lil' Miss like these adorable boots. Everything I've listed below is under $100 with the exception of 1 pair of boots and a Tory Burch bag because they are a huge closet staples and you'll save hundreds of dollars on them if you decide to pull the trigger.

In past years, I've picked up a gorgeous royal blue Michael Kors raincoat, Marc Jacobs sunglasses (which Nordstrom has kindly replaced not once but TWICE), Kate Spade earrings, Vince Camuto ankle booties, basic tees like this one for only $11, and lots of gifts for others at great prices that I still use regularly. Be on the lookout for those staple items and classic pieces that you can snag at a great discount.

Because 2020 has been extra special and unique, we've all been living in athleisure and PJ's for the most part (which I'm not mad about) so I included lots of cozy pieces for around the house. This pajama set looks dreamy, a warm pair of slippers are always a great idea, and I can't get enough pairs of joggers which are great for at home, long flights, and trips to Target. A graphic tank that mentions champagne? Yes please! And once the temps drop, I can see myself lounging on the couch with a good book or binging Netflix in this sweatshirt and yoga leggings. And of course I'm adding this Free People top which layers great over a sports bra or a lace bralette.

For those few and far between (these days) wine tastings or brunch with the girls, I have all the heart eyes for this Sam Edelman dress and this BB Dakota dress in a fun bold yellow hue. I'd love to pair them with these peep toe ankle booties.

One of these days, we'll head back to the office... which is always freezing! This cardigan would be perfect to keep on my chair for meetings in cold conference rooms, and so would this cardi in olive green. I'm also loving this plaid blazer and of course this leopard pencil skirt.

Closet staples like this moto jacket, rose gold Tory Burch sunnies, wear anywhere skinny jeans, and a $15 basic tee which is perfect on it's own or layered under a jacket or cardigan in chillier temps.

The NSale isn't just for fashion, there are plenty of beauty items at a great discount as well. My skin loves this Too Faced duo, and who doesn't want a rose gold makeup brush set?

If you're looking for gift ideas or are starting Christmas shopping early - this fun tee is only $22. I've gifted these earrings to several girlfriends, and they're always a hit!

And who doesn't love a good splurge? These boots are 1 of 2 items below that are more than $100, but are $300 off their original price tag. If you've been drooling eyeing them, now is the time to snag these beauties. If you'd love a good pair of OTK boots, but want to keep the price under $100 - this pair by Steve Madden come in 2 colors and are just as pretty.

Friday with a Side of Beauty

Cheers to Friday! Speaking of, it's been a while since I've shown up here on a Friday. My work weeks have been insanely busy, but I still couldn't be happier.
Since Polyvore decided to sell out, and the site that bought them out not only doesn't offer product collages but has deleted ALL previous content my non-tech-savy self has no way to create pretty collages of fun fashion, beauty, and home decor items anymore. Yes, you read that correctly - any collage you made in the past with Polyvore is now G-O-N-E. I have a lot of empty posts now, and I'm not happy about it. If you know of an easy-to-use and shall I mention free site that can do what Polyvore used to, please share the love.

Ok rant over... and almost as obnoxious as all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts in July (ok that's just impossible), today is all about the Sephora Spring Bonus Event for Beauty Insiders. Lucky Rouge-ers had early access to the sale, but VIB's and BI's were granted access today for 10-15% off everything.

My Sephora Spring Bonus Event Picks

NARSissist Wanted Cheek Palette - I got an email the other day featuring this limited edition palette, and can't get over how pretty it is. The range of shimmery pinks to matte lavenders and corals for buildable coverage is begging me to add to my cart.

UD Primer Potion - one of my holy grail products. It's a total game changer keeping my eye makeup in place all day and all night. No oily creases, no cracking, and staying fresh for hours.

Wonderlust Perfume - I got this for Christmas, and it just smells like vacation in a bottle. Perfect to ring in spring and summer.

Drybar Lemon Drop - I've raved about this brush the past few years, and just recently replaced it I love it that much. Great de-tangler without breaking my strands.

Scrub n' Mask - I stumbled upon this double duty exfoliating scrub and detoxifying treatment mask, and it'll be great to combat skin dullness. The fact that it's an ode to Rio is just a huge bonus.

Bath Bomba - another fabulous find from the Sol de Janeiro line because who doesn't love a relaxing bath and a glass of wine? Bonus points that it's made without gluten, animal by-products, propylene glycol, synthetic colors, or petrolatum, and is cruelty free.

Lip Pencils - When I remember to wear a fun lippie, these NARS lip pencils are some of my favorites! They glide on so easily, and are convenient to take on the go.

Light Chaser Highlighter - Becca highlighters are the best. What's even better? Becca highlighters on sale before the 10-15% off discount. You're welcome.

Makeup Bag - With my love of travel, I need something cute to throw my essentials in. This bag is truth.

Clarisonic Replacement Brush Head - I always put this on the back burner because it's a "boring purchase" compared to the other pretties waiting patiently on my wish list, but it's a necessity. I've had my Clarisonic Mia since late 2010, and it's still going strong. Best investment ever!

Don't forget to check out the sale section of the site, nothing beats a discount on already reduced sale items. Happy Shopping!

Monday Deals Over Coffee

Am I the only one who's in total disbelief that it's already October?! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend filled with nostalgia since we were able to score one of the highly anticipated SNES Classics, and we thought the local Bacon and Brews festival was going to be rained out (newsflash - it wasn't) so we stayed in town. Between games of Super Mario World, Zelda, and Super Mario Kart I baked my first fall treats of the year ~ pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (recipe found here), and shopped the sales. So, I decided to round up some of my favorite items that can all be found at great discounts. Because who wants to pay full price?

It's not fall without a go-with-everything pair of ankle booties, and my favorite pair the past few years has been these slouchy peep toe beauties. Since it doesn't get chilly here until the calendar says winter, they're great paired with dresses, skirts, leggings, and shorts. Once it cools down, I'll pair them with my go-to denim as well. Did I mention they're comfy enough for all day walking at the local fairs and festivals too?

Peep Toe Booties {33% off} - Kristin Cavalarri for Chinese Laundry

One of my favorite dresses ever is this ruched body-con number that I wore on the plane to San Francisco, and it was the perfect cozy piece for traveling and hitting the ground site seeing once we arrived. It's not on sale *womp womp*, but I have seen it go on sale so keep an eye on it if you're looking for a discount. I'm just excited that there are now 8 colors to choose from as it's a total closet staple. I am definitely scooping up more! It's great on it's own or under a jacket.

Dress - Leith | Bag {70% off} - Deux Lux | Shoes - Adidas

The prep in me lives in J. Crew's chino shorts which I only scoop up when on sale. I love all the bright color choices, and how they go with my cozy tanks, tees, and slouchy sweaters.

Chino Shorts {33% off} - J. Crew

My favorite pop of leopard are these shoes which I wear with shorts, pants, skirts, and dresses. In the words of Forrest Gump, "These are my magic shoes, momma said they can take me anywhere!"

Espadrilles {40% off} - Soludos

Influenster has hit another one out of the park. I received the Ecstasy Shine voxbox over the weekend, and have been having so much fun testing out these amazing lippies. I love that Smile is a great every day color, and I can see Four Hundred being on repeat for the holiday season as a fun bold red.

Lipstick in Smile and Four Hundred - Giorgio Armani

Speaking of sales, there is a big one going on at Mixology featuring brands like BB Dakota (one of my all time favs), Gab & Kate, and J.O.A. You can shop this amazing sale here through Tuesday, October 3rd.
