You know when you come across some thumb stopping content on
Pinterest, fall in love with a piece, close your eyes and make a wish that clicking on it will actually bring you somewhere instead of a broken pin link? Imagine my happiness when I found a beautiful rose gold off the shoulder sequin top several weeks before NYE with a working link direct to the product on RoseWe's site. Enter sadness that the rose gold was of course sold out, so I settled for the silver instead which was still pretty and had NYE written all over it.
I placed my order on December 10th - that's 3 weeks before NYE which should be more than enough time for processing and shipping considering
the item was in stock. It didn't ship until December 26th. What were they doing? Hand-sewing each individual sequin onto the top? I tried not to worry, and felt that it had enough time to arrive in 5 days or less. *Spoiled by Amazon Prime*. New Year's Eve came and went, and I ended up rocking sparkle with my favorite sequin leggings instead (recap
here). Fast forward 2 and 1/2 weeks later, and the item finally arrived. 3 and 1/2 weeks for shipping?! After 2 and 1/2 weeks for processing?! Unacceptable. Moral of the story - stop ordering from overseas and shop local. Also, it's always time to sparkle even after the holidays are over.
