Put a Bow on It

I have a serious love for statement sleeves, and couldn't resist this top with the subtle bell sleeves and those darling bows. It's light and breezy enough for the warmer temps that spring is bringing in, and I couldn't be happier to be breaking back out my favorite studded sandals. I missed you old friend...

Still Time to Sparkle

You know when you come across some thumb stopping content on Pinterest, fall in love with a piece, close your eyes and make a wish that clicking on it will actually bring you somewhere instead of a broken pin link? Imagine my happiness when I found a beautiful rose gold off the shoulder sequin top several weeks before NYE with a working link direct to the product on RoseWe's site. Enter sadness that the rose gold was of course sold out, so I settled for the silver instead which was still pretty and had NYE written all over it.

I placed my order on December 10th - that's 3 weeks before NYE which should be more than enough time for processing and shipping considering the item was in stock. It didn't ship until December 26th. What were they doing? Hand-sewing each individual sequin onto the top? I tried not to worry, and felt that it had enough time to arrive in 5 days or less. *Spoiled by Amazon Prime*. New Year's Eve came and went, and I ended up rocking sparkle with my favorite sequin leggings instead (recap here). Fast forward 2 and 1/2 weeks later, and the item finally arrived. 3 and 1/2 weeks for shipping?! After 2 and 1/2 weeks for processing?! Unacceptable. Moral of the story - stop ordering from overseas and shop local. Also, it's always time to sparkle even after the holidays are over.

Distressed Savings

As you know, I never pay full price. I do the majority of my shopping online, but I learned my lesson that sometimes you need to go in store not just for the deals but also because the products look different in person. I never would have added these jeans to my online shopping cart due to the web images, but in person I fell in love. I gritted my teeth, and braved a trip to the mall after receiving an email that all jeans would be $39 for 4 hours only... in store. It was worth it!

Dramatic Florals

It may say fall on the calendar, but one of the many reasons I moved to Florida was to enjoy warmer temps year round and kiss old man winter goodbye. With that means our fall weather doesn't arrive until it's technically winter on the calendar, so I stay true to myself and continue to wear pieces that won't make me sweat just looking at them. When fall arrives on the calendar, I begin to mix in darker pieces and chunkier accessories when appropriate while staying cool in the heat. Some of my favorites are a maxi striped dress and darker florals, and I've been like a kid in a candy store browsing all the fun and flirty options at Zaful. I wore this showstopping maxi to an event over the weekend and not only was it beautiful and comfortable, but I loved letting people know who told me they loved my dress that it was less than $30!

I fell in love with this dress because of the dramatic open back, the slit in the front making it flowy, and the darker floral print which would carry me into fall.

Scallops and Studs

It may be summer (imagine that being sang in my best Olaf voice), but I've been majoring crushing on black lately with fun pops of color like my favorite clutch. Which is why it's no surprise that I fell in love with this scalloped dress that can go from the office to cocktails.

Showstopping Florals

I wanted to feature another fabulous piece I wore last summer while pregnant that still works great post-bump. The dress falls better in the front and the back, but still worked great with my 7 and 1/2 month bump last August.

Zip Me Up

I can't get enough of moto leggings this season. Since I'm still shedding a tear for the loss of my olive BP. leggings, I was excited to not only find these pants at Target, but also a 20% off cartwheel deal for them to save even more. Just like the BP. leggings, they can be dressed up or down with statement jewelry and heels or with sneakers and a graphic tee for a cozy chic look.
