Other than growing up trick-or-treating with my brother and our cousins every year, my favorite Halloween memory is from college (of course!). A night out with friends downtown to one of our favorite clubs was always a good time. Throw in some hula girls costumes in late October in Connecticut and that's a recipe to freeze while running to your car and standing in line. Unfortunately, I wasn't the big picture taker that I am now back then, so there's no pics of said hula costumes or our disastrous dancing on stage for the hottest costume contest *hides in the corner in shame*.
Over the years there have been mobster costumes, pirate costumes, cave people costumes, haunted hayrides, pumpkin carving, and house parties. But what I miss most of all is trick-or-treating with my cousins as kiddos. Us adults may still throw on costumes and know how to party, but our kid-selves knew how to get the most candy in one night!

I liked halloween as a kid (I hate it now, ha). I only participated in ONE halloween in college. I was...kind of lame and was always busy doing school work. The one halloween I participated in was because I worked in a slightly sleezy bar (whatever pays the bills ha) and I happened to be scheduled the night of halloween so I dressed up hah
ReplyDeleteI still love getting dressed up in a Halloween costume, but you're right about the candy...I'm excited for my godson to start trick or treating in a couple of years (and maybe I can sneak a piece or two of his stash, haha).
ReplyDeleteI've never been a big Halloween dressing up person for some reason so I really miss the days of going trick or treating!! I'm excited to have some little ones come by this year since we're finally out of an apartment!
ReplyDeleteYou have some really cute costumes! Getting dressed up and going out with girlfriends is the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI agree that halloween is best enjoyed as kids!

Love all the memories from Halloween's past!! I agree there was nothing better than dressing up for Trick or Treating - that was the bright side to growing up in Florida we never had to worry about sweaters ruining our costumes lol!!
ReplyDeleteAs fun as Halloween is in college, you really can't beat the magic of Halloween as a kid!
ReplyDeletehahaha wow! you have had so many outfits! is that a "boob" outfit of your friend?? hahahah!
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to dress up! I cracked up at the boob!
ReplyDeleteHaha love this!!! I usually love going out on Halloween but since it's on a Friday this year I feel like it's going to be CRAZY packed! And truthfully... I kinda want to go Trick or Treating haha! I guess I'm WAY too old to pull that off huh?

I love Halloween so much! Getting dressed up is my fave! We go to a party every year so we get pretty into our costumes.
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween! It's my hubby's birthday so we always try to do it up! That giant boob is pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove all the costumes! We used to fill up pillowcases and which houses gave the best candy! Those were the days!
ReplyDeleteyou have some pretty stellar halloween costumes!! i love it!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in a super small town, like 450 people, and going door to door really was feasible! I can't fathom not running from block to block on those cool fall nights. Dressing up in college was fun, but some of my favorite costumes have been recently!
ReplyDeleteMFD and I still dress up! Even if we have nowhere to go.
ReplyDeleteHalloween is pretty good when we were kids, wasn't it? We can still make the best of it now, though. Wine and passing out candy it is!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI really like all of your costumes. Great post! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI miss trick or treating too! I would do anything for an excuse to eat 18 Milky Ways in one sitting again :)
ReplyDeleteYES! Halloween and college was the best, as was freezing in too small/ not warm enough costumes;)
ReplyDeleteLove all your different costumes! I agree I loved those good ole' college halloween parties, they were so fun, but nothing like going trick-o-treating and coming home with a huge stash of candy!
