Summer Dream Cocktail

One of my favorite pastimes in the summer is laying in the pool with a refreshing drink. So, when we had a pool party at the house a few weeks ago I knew I wanted to make a signature cocktail that was not only fun, but blue to go with the pool theme. I decided to tweak this recipe from Pinterest, and make it more blue than green.

Ingredients

1 oz. of vodka
1 oz. of coconut rum
1/2 oz. of blue curacao
1/2 cup of lemonade
Top off with club soda

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shaker over ice, and mix well before pouring over ice and serving. Garnish with an orange slice.
I quadrupled the recipe per batch, and it came out a little sweet. Next time, I'll make it with less lemonade, a little more vodka, and more club soda.

  21. One of my favorite summer pastimes also includes a refreshing cocktail by the pool - lol! Sadly I don't have a pool at my disposal, but I will certainly be making this cocktail because it looks so delish! I love the fun blue color too - it just screams summer!

  22. Sounds super refreshing! And I like your tweak because that other cocktail has pineapple juice which I am not a fan of. Usually I just mix pink lemonade, vodka, and ice, but I will definitely be trying this one out this season!
